Questions & Answers

Is this compatible with Mikrotik gear?

Your results may vary depending on the equipment you're using, but I'm using one to connect my Mikrotik CRS226 (SFP port 1) to my Ubiquiti US-100. It's called XG, and it's fantastic.

Is it possible to connect a ubiquiti switch to an HP 1910 series switch using this method?

Not at all, the two 10Gb/s SFP DAC ports are exclusive to Ubiquiti, and while the HP 1910 series is gigabit, our DAC is 10Gb/s. Please contact us if you require one HP port and one Ubiquiti port; we also offer customized solutions.

Is it possible to connect a ubiquiti er-100 with this cable? 4 routers, as well as a ubiquiti es- Is there a 500 watt switch?

No, if your router and switch don't have an SFP port, you won't be able to use an SFP cable. Please contact us if you would like us to customize something for you.

The rb2011 from Mikrotik and the es-100 from Ubiquiti 150w - Can I connect them with this cable because they both have sfp ports? Is the sfp cable compatible with sfp when used backwards?

The rb2011 from Mikrotik and the es-100 from Ubiquiti Our regular cables are 10Gb/s, and our gigabit equipment draws 150 watts. As a result, it is unable to connect; however, we do have cables that will allow you to connect; please contact us for more information.

Excellent value for money! These SFP adapters are a fantastic deal
5/5

Instead of being used as uplinks, they free up valuable Ethernet ports to be used for network devices. They are significantly less expensive than an SFP GBIC or an LC-based GBIC. Fiber optic cables with LC connectors. They fill a need for low-cost SFP links between switches in a rack, even if they aren't available in lengths long enough for applications beyond links within a rack or to adjacent racks. br>br>I used two of these to connect two Ubiquiti UniFi switches in an aggregated network. I have a 48-port switch that serves as a core switch and an 8-port switch that serves as a backup switch. Power and Ethernet are fed to multiple UniFi WAPs via a port PoE switch. br>br>I connected two of these to the PoE switch to create a 2gbps aggregated uplink. While link aggregation isn't strictly necessary, it's nice to avoid a 1gbps bottleneck on the PoE switch for multiple 1gbps devices. In addition, you have redundancy in case one of the components fails. Despite the fact that they were labeled as SFP, these worked in the SFP ports on both switches, transmitting at 1 Gigabit per second (each). Even with a 1G connection, it works perfectly
5/5

This is being used in conjunction with my Unifi Dream Machine Pro (UDMP) and Unifi USW- POE. Despite the fact that the switch is only SFP at 1G, there are no issues or dropped packets.

It is not compatible with ubiquiti devices
3/5

In my ubiquiti UDM Pro and ubiquiti switch, it does not work. There is no connection between the two devices.

Does not work when connecting a Ubiquiti Dream Machine Pro to an Ubiquiti 8-port PoE switch
3/5

Unfortunately, this is a forum issue on the UDM Pro side, as evidenced by posts dating back as far as five months. br>br>Even if you manually reduce UDM Pro's SFP port to 1G, the switch still disconnects every few seconds. I had to order Ubiquiti's own 1/g SFPs as well as fiber LC to LC cable from them.

SFP compatibility is excellent
5/5

This was purchased to connect my Netgate 6100 router, which runs pfSense, to my Ubiquiti USW-100 wireless access point. SFP ports provide 150 watts of power to the switch. I can attest to the fact that the number 0 is correct. For both of these devices, a 5m cable can be used in 1g SFP mode. (On the switch, port 9 is used, and on the Netgate 6100 router, port ix3 is used. ) Both are set to auto-negotiate, and everything works right out of the box. THE PRODUCT IS AMAZING. If I ever need more, I'll purchase more.

It really works
5/5

This is how you connect a Unifi UDM Pro to a USW-based router. Aggregation is necessary due to the fact that the 0. Ubiquiti's 5m DAC cable isn't long enough to connect the two. the USW- AGG is used to connect to other home network switches as a downlink. It works fine, and it appears to be receiving the full 10 Gbps speeds.

I'm currently using this DAC cable directly between my PC and my NAS server, and it works flawlessly with both my Solarflare SFN6122F in the NAS server and the Mellanox MCX311A-II in the PC
5/5

On my computer, I have XCAT installed. Next week, I'll be installing a 10G capable TrendNet switch, and this DAC cable will connect the NAS to the switch.
