What is the point of a POE if there is a cat5/6 extender and it requires power? Is power necessary for the POE as well?

Powered by POE, the extender can be powered. With Power over Ethernet(POE), you can use either a POE switch or this POE inserter to get power. As far as I know, only the cat5/6 is connected to the extender as that's where the power comes from.

Is this compatible with a Nano Station AC loco from Ubiquiti?

Yes, I am. I am using the 1 amp and Ubiquiti's POE's run on 24 volts at 05 amps work with the loco power supply

Could you describe the 24v 7watt POE for Ubiquiti that you've shown in the picture? I can't see one in the picture. ?

There is no brand of access points or wireless bridges that I will ever use other than Ubiquity. I have never had a problem with anything from the company.

There are too many watts required It only got back 50% of what it had returned

Would not have been wise to sell product elsewhere after returning it. The 30% restocking fee combined with the 20% shipping charge leaves me out of pocket by It was not supplying power to my device since I misread the wattage.

There are no issues connected to the power source. It works like a charm. Please be sure that the unit you are buying is compatible with the power source you are using. There is a website on their website where you can find these specs.
