Selected User Reviews For Intel AC 8260 IEEE 802.11ac Bluetooth 4.2 - Wi-Fi/Bluetooth Combo Adapter

The answer is yes This will require the use of an antenna
3/5

Connecting the RF/antenna connectors (labeled 1 and 2) to the cables that go to the antennas already in place on the computer is easy. Laptops require this component for replacement as it is integrated into the motherboard. Since this is not a standalone part, it must be removed together with the old part. Disconnecting the antennas and removing the PCB will accomplish this. Replacing this part and installing the antenna cables are then necessary.

I have a Lenovo 700 with 14 GB of storage that doesn't As Amazon tended to merge all reviews together, this is a review of the Intel 8260 wi fi adaptor for notebook computers
5/5

It says on the box that it has an Intel dual band wireless wi fi card that delivers 867 Mbps 2. It also has two USB ports. Four- and five-gigahertz. I read some forums and even looked at the chart provided by Lenovo that said that the intel 8260 would be compatible with my laptop. This is what I installed in place of the Intel 3165, or whatever was in there before it, I think it was a QUALCOMM. Secondly, I noticed that this card has more pins than the one in the notebook, that is, it has more pins than the one found in the notebook, but no problem, the slot is standard, so the card fit fine. I believe it is caused by the greater wifi Now that I have my computer booted up, I can connect to the Internet via Wi-Fi. I'm guessing that you're wondering why this review was given two stars? It's therefore impossible to pair the Bluetooth. I tried formatting windows 10 and reinstalling, I even looked in my bios settings, I did not have a Bluetooth setting but I had one for Wi-Fi, I enabled it and disabled it as well as rebooted back and forth, nothing appeared. Despite installing multiple versions of the new drivers from Lenovo and Intel, there is still no Bluetooth. It looks as though the driver was correctly installed, but nothing has been accomplished. As soon as I put the old card in, the Bluetooth is detected. What are the possibilities? Maybe the card? I read something on the internet about a V2 port that uses different ways of interpreting the data from WiFi There must be something wrong with the Bluetooth side because the port pins it uses are not to my taste. The hardware itself is not bad, but the software is incompatible. As I understand it, Lenovo uses a different brand of card in their units, which is why the 8260 is listed as compatible. Therefore, if you are thinking about getting this, DO NOT get it for the Lenovo 700 as you will have the same issue that I had. Thank you,

.

For only $26, I increased the download speed of my laptop by 3 times
5/5

A new Intel 8260 Wireless router was delivered to me The Intel 3165 Wi-Fi adapter is being replaced with the new adapter This was the WiFi Adapter that was on There are some main differences between the two Wi-Fi services I would like to discuss in my review Most people upgrading their older adapters are interested in adapters such as such, since most of them are likely interested in such an You can download files at the following speeds In terms of performance, the 8260 outperforms the 3165 far more. With the 9260, I found that I was able to download games from Steam 3 times faster. Aside from that, I am now able to watch YouTube videos at up to 1440p, versus just being able to watch videos at up to 720p on my 3165. And in many cases, it would even My 8260 was not quite fast enough for me to watch YouTube videos in 4K, however that is more than likely caused by my internet speed, as only wired devices can stream 4K video. The following speeds are required for uploads With their similar upload speeds, the 8260 and the 3165 share a lot in common. The 3165 actually delivered nice upload speeds, so this is fine. In the case where the only issue you have with the 3165 is upload speeds, then you won't see any greater improvements with the 8260. The range is Even though the ranges of the 8260 and 3165 are similar, the 8260 can transfer much more data thanks to its faster download speed. As a result, there are going to be areas where the 3165 will be simply unusable because of its slow speeds. On the other hand, the 8260 should maintain better speeds over the same distance. Although the 8265 is probably better than the 8263, it is likely to cost more than $3 the 8265 gives slightly better range than the 8260, but speeds should be about the same. 2) This is also a highly recommended wireless network An adapter for WiFi.

It is simple and inexpensive to upgrade
5/5

A Dell XPS15/9550 network card was upgraded from a Dell/Broadcom network card. With this change, I can see/connect to and stay connected to networks with increased reliability. The first thing you should do if you're upgrading from a Broadcom is uninstall the drivers and any software (usually Bluetooth-related) for Broadcom or Widcom, replace the card, then install the latest Microsoft Windows 10 was capable of automatically detecting the hardware and installing functional drivers, Intel has a Driver Update Utility that is able to make sure all devices are fully up to date (Windows did not auto-install It is important to note that if you are upgrading from a 3x3 wireless card, as I did, you will need to throw away A piece of shrink wrap or electrical tape will need to be applied to the unused connector.

The Lenovo Ideapad 110 comes with a solid wireless card that can be replaced Linux Mint is running on 15ISK
5/5

In fact, I swapped out the old wireless card after I installed the new one in my Eee PC 110 Now that I have this Intel 8260 card, my wireless now works without a hitch, and it seems my overall bandwidth is speeding up. This laptop is all in all a solid purchase. I am running Linux Mint 18 on the Lenovo laptop, and it seems that the Linux wireless drivers for this Intel 8260 card are much better than those for the Lenovo supplied wireless card included with the It would be unfair to make any sweeping generalizations regarding the capabilities of this card that I have never used Windows on the laptop (and won't ever).
