Is it possible to ssh into this device after it has been configured and access either of the rs- Is it possible that there are 232 ports hidden behind it? (Is it possible to turn a console into two network routers)?

USR- Although the N520 does not support SSH, you can use TCP to connect to the RS232 port behind it.

This is a neat little gadget - I had a couple of RS232-only serial Modbus Slave devices that wouldn't work with others, even when connected via individual RS232-only serial Modbus slave devices

There are 485 adapters total. I needed to multidrop them because the RTU I was programming didn't have enough serial ports, and they wouldn't cooperate. This adapter fills a void. br>br> When configured as a Modbus over IP Slave, it accepts connections on a few user-selectable ports and converts Modbus over IP commands to Serial Modbus RTU commands, which it then sends out its ports. br>In the format 192, each physical port has a unique address. 168 120: 1502 and 192 are two of the most well-known numbers in the English language. 168 120: The Serial RTU address can be specified as part of the message, so the end of line slave device doesn't know the difference between this device and a dedicated serial line. br>br>I tested powering the unit from USB (USB to barrel connection), but it also has terminals, which I'm using for a bit more voltage headroom (USB 5V is at the bottom of its acceptable supply range). br>br> I first used the software to set the IP address, then went to the webpage to play around with it. br>br>I can't see any diagnostics, such as the message bytes passing through, and there's no DIN rail mount, but these are minor flaws at this price point.
