I bought it to help with online classes - especially for my students who are learning American Sign Language While seated at my desk, I needed the computer to be higher so that I could get a better angle on my signing for the benefit of my students. I own over six Lamicall iPad/iPhone stands and I am glad I decided to try this one for my 16" MacBook Pro. It has worked well for me so far. The Lenovo X1 Carbon comes with a Galaxy 9 and a Nexus 9. When I had meetings at work, I bought this stand to elevate my computer and tablet so that the other attendees would not see me up my nostrils and into my head. The set started off solid and I had to switch hands to adjust the height, which was not a bad I've been running it for about a month now, and it slowly sags under the weight of the X1 Carbon, which only weighs two pounds. There is a weight of 6 pounds. It's possible to lift it back up and complete the meeting without bending over, but I don't know how long that will last. Maybe I should pop off the hinge covers and tighten them to extend its life? The idea of me having to is strange to me.

I like it a lot! You can easily move it around thanks to its sturdy construction. These non slip pads on top and bottom of the unit keep the unit from slipping. I received it today and was eager to put it to work on my laptop. However, I was disappointed when it did not work. Really solid platform on which to set up your laptop camera. I can fit my docking station under it because there is more space under it. That's great, I love The Lamicall holder I'm holding is my third (others are for my iPhone and my Every one of them is a solid performer.
