What a great deal, I spent $35 on a cable lock that would have been Designed to convert Kensington, Kensington Nano, and Noble devices to work with this lock, this lock has three attachments. Multiple laptops were tested, and the only attachment that actually worked was the Kensington slot attachments (which are more than 25 years old). It would have cost me $4 to get a lock for just a standard Kensington, so I could have bought one at a brick-and-mortar store without waiting After returning the first one for a second because it was out of specification, I decided to replace it. It was the same result. Avoid these well-meaning but feeble suggestions by saving your time and money Attempting to lock the data but failing to do so.
In search of a cheap laptop lock, I found this website. With this type of lock, I was able to set the combination fairly easily with only a small screwdriver, but it had the annoying tendency to jam The unlocking didn't work for me, nor was I able to remove it from my (Acer) laptop when it was The lock was almost beyond repair. I almost had to use tin snips to cut it off. My final solution was to throw it out and buy a Kensington 4-inch monitor instead With the Kensington lock I am much more satisfied than with the wheel cable lock. For the Kensington, you pay a little more, but what you get is worth it.
In order to allow the lock to rotate, six pins are pushed at different distances by the round key. was easy to open for the first month, but after that time, it had become some difficulty unlocking. One week was devoted to the help of the lubricant. It is difficult to remove the pins because they are floppy and the springs don't push them It took me six weeks for the pins to sometimes move far enough so that the key could push them back into place to unlock. I coaxed them out with a paper clip occasionally to force them out. In two months I tried to put the key in and turn it, but the cylinder jammed and the key would not A jiggling of the key will not allow it to turn now that the key covers the pins. As a result, the lock can no longer be used.
Overall, it seems to do everything I would expect a cable lock of this type to do. My purpose is to confirm to the world that it fits HP Elitebook 845, so I am posting a review of it.
The dials were a bit rough at first, but they seem to be moving more smoothly as time passes.
There is a problem with it. It does no good to turn the key since it does not affect the part that goes into the It has been a while since I wrote to the manufacturer. Amazon has indicated I want to return it, but they tell me it was sold by a third party, so I have to wait for their response, which has not yet happened. I think it's a non-verbal cue I'm not sure what to do with one that is broken, but this one does not!.
The software is easy to use and install. The fact that my computer is secured to my desk at the office makes me feel a lot better.
That's not bad, it works. A complaint and a compliment As far as I'm concerned, it feels pretty chintzy, but I was trying to find the cheapest price. As for its shape near the laptop connector, it's pretty round. Because of this, I feel like I have to prop up my laptop, so the lock doesn't short out my port. On the other hand, I am probably just being neurotic about it.
