Questions & Answers

You want to know what the AUE date is?

Checking on the AUE, it says June 2024. I just got this today. Due to the fact that updates will only last for three more years, I am considering returning the product. A new Chromebook will no longer be supported after 2026.

What kind of hdmi port does this laptop have?

You are unable to add an HDMI jack to this laptop, but it is easy to do. Purchase a USB-powered device and you're good to go You can power that hub with a USB-C hub that has an HDMI (TV video/audio) jack on it (and is intended for use with chromebooks). Connect the hub to the laptop's USB port and power supply (I just used the one that came with it), and connect the laptop to the power supply. Several ports are available on the C bus. When you set up the chromebook this way, it will automatically boot The USB device will be detected I have a C hub and an auto-pilot The HDMI port on the hub needs to be configured (at least that is how it worked for me). An additional benefit of this approach is that you are able to buy USB drives These C hubs might also include other features, such as a wired internet port (which this Chromebook can use if the hub you purchase has that feature). Among other things, I recently purchased (for $75 from Amazon) a USB-drive that There was a C hub with There is an HDMI (video/audio) jack, Ethernet (wireless internet), three USB 3 ports, as well as a place to plug in a USB-based external media player The hub must be powered by an USB-C charger (and the chromebook can be charged as well via Charge your laptop's battery through the USB port on its case). I'm not going to lie this isn't free, but it's also a fairly cheap and simple way to expand the input and output capabilities of this Chromebook.

Does it come with any type or model of active stylus? If so, what is it?

Unlike most things, this one does not support styluses. It is not uncommon for me to have several Samsung S-types We've tried pens as well as a Wacom stylus, but they both don't It looks like stylus support is optional for the model I received today after testing them out today. I found a pdf document from Google that clearly states what this means for this model. As a result, I was very disappointed since that was one of the reasons I bought it. It appears that the older model (N3350 CPU) could be used with a stylus while this new one cannot. tablet does not have the second camera above the keyboard to be used as a "back camera" when the tablet is in tablet mode, but the indented area remains.

Is there a charger that comes with Chromebook only options?

That's a given.

As someone who has never used a chromebook before, I wasn't sure what to expect
5/5

I really needed something that I could take with me on the go to work on my shop updates, work stuff, and school when that starts. While it is taking some time getting used to, so far I am enjoying it! The battery life is as expected I left the device on overnight, and I had a fully charged battery the next day. The touch screen is responsive, and the shipping was SUPER FAST -- I ordered it on Saturday night and it arrived on Monday. The Wyoming countryside is a desert. I've never seen anything like it before, so this is pretty impressive. It's like a tablet with a keyboard, but it's better than anything I've seen thus far. I got one of those gifts that I was like, ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh thanks, thank you so much. My life will never be the same after using However, I do appreciate your help. It never occurs to you to tell them that, since it would be rude instead, your hard copies sit in your bookcase collecting dust, because you don't want to get rid of it and make them aware of it. The plus sign) and the minus sign In any case- Compared to what I have seen so far, this is amazing. This bag feels lightweight yet sturdy at the same time it isn't for the faint of heart, it feels like it can hold its.

I think this was my best decision
5/5

Since I turned 72, I have been torn between replacing my aging Asus laptop and getting a new one. A Chromebook is used mostly for education, a laptop for work. It was a dart that led us to this Chromebook. We read reviews of each. I am so glad you made this Turned it on after opening up, plugged it in, and activated it. After answering a few questions, I synced my Note8, followed by the sync with my phone. When I find a recipe I want to create, I can hardly wait to look it up, tent it, and begin. In addition to email, banking, and recipe searches, I have very basic computer needs. This gets a 5 out of 5 from me.

Google Chrome OS 2 is great I bought this Chromebook because it is much faster and newer than my old 15" Acer Chromebook, which was one of the first 15" Chromebooks they made, and it was also the only 15" Chromebook available at the time My old Chromebook didn't support Android apps, so I was finding that it was restricting my usage
4/5

I bought this due to the fact that I wanted something good for couch surfing. It's my favorite model after reading a lot of positive reviews, although most of them turned out to be for the last model that uses the The first thing I'm going to say is that this thing feels extremely sturdy, built in the typical Acer style. Yet I have to say the bezels on the thing are extremely large, they could've easily put a larger screen on it. I like that the screen is bright enough, as well as sharp enough at a typical viewing distance and with good viewing angles for my use. As far as I can tell, the device's touchscreen is kind of wacky, but it could simply be a user issue since some devices don't like responding well to my finger pressure. Typical usage has perfect performance, but don't expect to do much gaming as this phone lacks the power to run Android games that require more processing power. I am very impressed with the speed of the WiFi and the signal strength. There are a lot of great ports there, and I particularly like that you can charge it using either USB or an AC adapter You'd expect a trackpad similar to what you'd see on a device like this. Its keyboard feels pretty good, though. However, where I am most disappointed with this system is the fact that stylus support has been removed from the last model. My interests include drawing on occasion, even if it is just playing a game of Draw Something to put my itch to rest. In comparison to my Note phone, I thought that drawing on this with an Android app would be pretty nice. Acer had already confirmed that the system can be used with an active stylus after a different person inquired about it. An active stylus is not supported by this device. In my opinion, there is not much difference between the N3350 and the N4020 CPUs, which makes me tempted to return this model and order the older one. In addition to the above, I'll mention that the indent for the second camera above the keyboard, which is used in tablet mode, is present, but there is not a camera present. Initially, I was unclear what this indentation was for until I did some further online reading and found a review for the product I was planning to purchase Version 1. 0 of the system is available for download. In addition to the camera, there was a There seems to be a change in opinion regarding both features, however, they did not bother to remove To sum it up, it's a surprisingly enjoyable 2D film A 2020 device has some strange design choices, but some appear to have been influenced by the past. Many reviews for this model of computer are for the last model (N3350 CPU) or for the model prior to that This thing is actually a production test unit with features that the real thing is lacking (a stylus and a Be sure to look at the true reviews closely as well as this device is offered with the Intel CPU (N4020), an AMD CPU, and a MediaTek processor.

I returned this Chromebook even though it was a great product
4/5

Chromebooks under $400 are probably the best option on the market at the moment. In my case, I had to return it. The display offers a nice full HD 1920 x 1080 with bright, You will not be disappointed with the keyboard. It has a large, responsive trackpad which is easy to use and makes browsing the internet extremely The score for Octane 2 on this machine was approximately 12,000. Celeron processors aren't bad for the price. I think so. I sent it back because I didn't like it. Chromebook I received had two manufacturing flaws, so I had to return it. It is made of aluminum, which is great, but the bottom edge of the case has a sharp edge around the entire perimeter. This Chromebook had a small flaw The aluminum case was just a fraction of a millimeter too wide. Although it wasn't sharp enough to cut, it gave the Chromebook a simplistic appearance. Two other problems were the loose trackpad and the battery. Although it worked well, there was a slight rattle in the trackpad when you tapped (which you do a lot on Chromebooks). When I first used it, I thought I could survive with it, but the more I used it, the crazier I became. It is my hope that these build problems were unique to the Chromebook that I received, and all other Acer 514s do not have them.

Distance learning is made easy with this product
5/5

I bought this for elementary school students. Since I've never owned a chromebook before, I had no idea what to expect from it, but so far I am impressed. Using a Google account makes it easy to set up. I also like it when you can use Google Family to control parental access. for the actual device, it consists of the following My favorite feature of the touchscreen is the navigation. It is nice to have the option of flipping the screen, even though my kids don't use it. The purchase was a good buy for me. In addition, I decided not to purchase the extended coverage, but I now think I should have.

The battery life is good, and the price is great
4/5

I paid $249 for it. In view of current demand, this device has decent specs for the price. It can run on battery for over 8 hours when watching YouTube and browsing the web. You may not be able to tell from the photos. There is a micro SD slot for media and a volume rocker on the side. App compatibility varies by play store. Note that only about 20 GB of that storage can be used with Taking a look at Chromebooks (or computers in general) from the beginner's point of view, this is more of a tablet+ than a.

I really like it! To let my daughter attend online classes at camp and school, I ordered it for her
5/5

Chromebook is excellent. We're very happy with it. Additionally, it has a touch screen and can be folded up like a book, which makes it easier for her to use while reading a book. In order to fulfill her work, we are able to install all required apps.
