There are a lot of bright lights in this room. At night, they are reflected in my bedroom door, which is 20 feet away, and in my eyes, which are 10 feet away. To keep them out, I have to shut my office door. The lights do not have an off switch. Because my computer runs at night, I require the use of a fan. These lights serve no purpose, and you can easily hear if the fan is running, despite how quiet it is. I'm considering tossing this and looking for one that doesn't have these obnoxious lights.

Yes, it is simple to transport. I've bought several cooling pads over the years, and this one is by far the best; I don't use it in my lap because I don't use my computer for long periods of time, but this cooling pad could sit comfortably in your lap because it is so light. This was an excellent purchase.
It pushes the air up, in my opinion. It's a well-made product that keeps my lap at a comfortable temperature. The design keeps the heat from my laptop off my lap even when the fan is not turned on.

sentence from time to time. I did some research and discovered that it could be a case of it becoming too hot (not that I could see how hot it gets), so I decided to try a cooling pad. It's certainly less expensive than a new computer, and it's also better for my nerves, as I won't be yelling at a black screen after losing work I'd worked hard on. br>This is effective. Alternatively, pound on sheets of wood, plastic, metal, or laminate - So far, it appears to be working. I've had no problems with the cooling pad in the weeks since I received it. Granted, the problem was sporadic, so I can't be sure this is preventing my computer from crashing, but I'm not complaining, even if it's just a placebo effect. br>The light isn't distracting while I'm working, and the switch is easy to reach, so I turn it off when I put my laptop away for the night. It even gives you a USB drive to make for the computer it's taking over. Beans are cool. What's with the pun?.
I just received this today, so this review may be updated later, but for now, I'd like to highlight three points. br>br>First and foremost, it will undoubtedly fit a 17-inch laptop. And it was a big one. This fits perfectly in my Alienware M17x 17" laptop, as did my previous cooler. There's a tiny bit of overhanging on the sides, but that's how most coolers fit my laptop, and it's so minor that it's almost unnoticeable. I'm only doing this for those who expect the entire 17-inch laptop to fit. The point is that, even with the minuscule overhang, the fans are effectively cooling your laptop. Second, I game a lot (hence why I bought an overpriced gaming laptop), and I'm constantly monitoring my temps for CPU, graphics card, hard drive, and other components. I know what temps I get when gaming casually, when gaming with higher-intensity graphics, and when browsing the internet to watch videos, write/read emails, argue with someone on a forum, and so on. br>br>After receiving the cooler, I immediately set it up and began playing games with both high and low graphics. I took a look at the temperature. I'm doing fantastically. After that, I decided to poke around on the internet for a while before checking again. It's actually 5 degrees cooler than it was with my old cooler. I went shopping for a new cooler because the old one's fan was screeching its last breaths. (By the way, that old cooler served us well for many years! I sincerely hope that this item receives the same treatment. ) So, yes, this does help to keep your laptop cool. I wouldn't expect a 15-degree difference, but even a 4- or 5-degree difference can help your laptop last longer. br>br>The third. This is why I gave it four stars, and I sincerely hope that the manufacturer considers this in the future: br>br>There are no grips. This is in desperate need of grips. I don't sit with my laptop on my lap. Again, I have a gaming laptop that is heavy and not the type of laptop that you can throw in your backpack like your phone, and because I use it a lot for gaming, I need to keep it on a desk, which is where it currently resides. I placed the laptop on top of the little legs for some height and to allow more air flow underneath the laptop, just like I did with the old cooler. br>br>I then sat down and noticed that my laptop was slipping down after only a few minutes. down. down. It was slowly but steadily slipping away from the cooler's front. So, if I put this on the cooler and went to bed, when I awoke, my laptop would be on the floor - This is probably the last place you want your laptop to be seen. My old cooler had two grips - one on the top and one on the bottom. At the top, there are two: one on the right and one on the left. The laptop didn't slip off the slanted cooling pad thanks to these grips. I was able to transfer some of the grips from my old cooler to the left and right sides of this cooler. It doesn't look good, and it would be preferable if this cooler came with its own set of grips that actually fit, but the laptop hasn't slipped in hours. Please, Tecknet, secure your cooling pads with grips. br>br>That is the only reason I am currently giving this a four-star rating. br>br>Once again, this is only the first day. As time passes, we'll see how well it works.
This is a fantastic product that I just saw advertised on Amazon. Until now, I was unaware that such a thing existed. If you work or play games on your laptop while it is plugged in, this is a must-have accessory to keep it cool and avoid overheating. I say plugged in because it is powered by your laptop's USB PORT and will drain your laptop's battery if you do not have it plugged in. The fans are powered by an ON/OFF SWITCH AND TWO USB PORTS, as shown in the photos. The fans are extremely quiet once turned on, and the blue led lights, as seen in the photos, add a nice touch. It also comes with two popup legs that allow you to adjust the angle of the cooling pad to your liking. .
My Acer Laptop had been overheating and shutting down unexpectedly during regular use. I had an older cooling pad pad with only one fan that wasn't cutting it. I was so desperate that I used a regular fan to try to keep things cool enough to work. It's effective, but it's a lot of noise. br>Today, I received my Teknet cooling pad, which I immediately put to use. I immediately noticed that temperatures remained within reasonable limits - 60- Even after an hour of use, the temperature has risen to 75 degrees Celsius. Experimenting with the pad turned off, I noticed core temperatures creeping up to the 88-degree mark. Within 10 minutes, the temperature had risen to 91 degrees Celsius. There's no doubt that the pad is beneficial. I find the fan noise level to be acceptable, though not quite 'whisper quiet. ' I've made my decision. br>Because I usually use an external monitor with my laptop, ergonomics aren't a factor.

Well. It seems like finding a cooling laptop pad that doesn't turn your house into a disco is difficult. I had hoped that the blue light would be barely noticeable, but it wasn't the case. It irritates me. Isn't it also annoying that there's an on/off switch? My Targus lap top cooling pad, which I purchased nearly six years ago, may have spoiled me. It simply plugs into your computer and turns on and off as required. While I like that it's metal rather than plastic and has good ventilation, I'm not sure how long the fans will last. Honestly, if I could get this same pad without the obnoxious light and the manual on/off switch, it would be ideal, especially if the fans proved to be of good quality and would last a long time!.
