Questions & Answers

Is there a cord included that can be plugged into a laptop to use this product?

The USB cable isn't very good. I've only had mine for a short time, but I've noticed that the wires at the plug point have suddenly become exposed, and it no longer works because they've become disconnected. My cooling pad and laptop are permanently affixed to a table. I was let down.

Is it possible for you to switch off the lights?

Yes and No are both correct. No, because the manufacturer does not provide a standard method of turning off the lights. br>br>Yes, as in I was able to remove the lights by opening the cooling pad and twisting all of the lights until the connection weakened enough to pull them out with a pair of pliers. The cooling pad's metal edges are sharp, so use caution when opening it.

Because of a mostly powerless/tiny fan, my HP envy m6 has a slight overheating issue when gaming. Is there any way that this cooler can help?

I've been using this cooler for a couple of weeks and have had no issues with it keeping my laptop cool. It does use some of the laptop's power, but not a lot of it. Your HP Envy should be able to use it.

Is it going to work for 17? Msi gaming laptop with 3 inches of screen?

Congratulations on your msi gaming laptop purchase! 11" x 15" are the physical dimensions. I'm not sure why the number 15 is mentioned. 6" x 17". At 11" x 15", my customized Lenovo Y700 fits perfectly. This unit will raise a laptop and circulate air beneath it, but I'm not sure if it's the right one for you if you're looking for a fan to literally cool your system down for optimal performance. Others with five fans have been seen on eBay. I like it, but I don't plan on gaming on my laptop for more than a couple of hours. I hope this has been of assistance.

Great cooling pad that is quiet, well-constructed, sturdy, doesn't slide around, and effectively cools the air! Update on the durability of the product: The date is February 26, 2021
5/5

It's still going strong and quiet! br>br>After many years of service, my old Targus mat has become extremely noisy. When I was looking for a replacement, I automatically discounted the higher-priced pads with adjustable speeds, glowing LEDs, trendy designs, and other frills because my laptop would cover all of that pricey eye candy. My goals were simple: (1) slim figure (1) low weight, (2) good cooling performance, and (3) low noise. The HV- F2056 is the right fit for the job and does exactly what it says on the tin: br>br>Thin br>br>Thin br>br>Thin b ultra-light: 15 people can be accommodated by the design. For me, 6" – 17" is a good range. My laptop is an MSI GS70 2QE Stealth Pro with a 17-inch screen. 3", with a 16" overall length and an 11" width. 25”. With the exception of length, the Havit is nearly the same width and thickness as my laptop when placed side by side. It's definitely lighter thanks to the aluminum wire mesh design, and it appears to be sturdy enough to travel with. br>br>Performance when it comes to cooling: The laptop has three monster 110 mm fans spinning at 1000 RPM, which is almost twice as fast as my old Targus, and I can definitely feel the updraft because the bottom and sides of the laptop are cool to the touch. To be sure, I ran CoreTemp and HWMonitor with the fan turned on and off, and the internal temperature did indeed drop. My vents are also well served by the fans, which are strategically placed. What I didn't want was a pad with a lot of plastic covering the vents, which wasn't an issue with this one because it's all mesh. The glowing effect of it running can be seen in the third photo. br>br>Quiet: As I previously stated, your laptop covers the majority of the unit, so the lights aren't distracting. br>br> I can't hear this pad running unless I've gone deafeningly deafeningly deafeningly deafeningly deafening I believe this cooling pad strikes a good balance between airflow and noise, and I've discovered that those fancy LED lights may actually serve a purpose, such as reminding you to turn off the cooling fans after you've turned off everything else! br>br>Power/Charging: br>br> This isn't really a complaint because I'm a chord/adapter hoarder, but (a) the fan comes with a 12" USB cord, which is a tease and way too short, and (b) it doesn't have a wall power source. I despise having to use my laptop as a power source when I'm not on the road, so I was surprised there wasn't a way to power it from a wall outlet. Let's face it, the primary reason many of us purchase a cooling fan is to extend the life of our batteries. While the cooling pad's voltage rating is only 5 volts, it still converts to watts, which means more battery drain to cool. In any case, a USB male-to-female converter isn't going to help. An adapter and a female extension cable were ineffective in resolving the issue. br>br>Overall, this is a fantastic cooling pad that is quiet, well-made, sturdy, does not slide around, and effectively cools the air. It's too early to tell how long the product will last. In terms of cost, it's a fantastic deal for the quality. thinness.

On a 2018 MacBook Pro 13", it performed admirably
5/5

I'm blown away by how effective this is. Using a 2018 13" i7 MacBook Pro for this. This machine had some issues with overheating and shutting down (I was a little annoyed with Apple: There's been a lot of design over function lately, so I chose this one based on the positive reviews. The results are as follows: br>br> br>br>Test No. 1: Laptop in standby mode: br>Temperatures of the pre-cooling pad Processor: 50 degreesbr>Processor temperatures after cooling pad: br>br>Test 2: 42 degreesbr>br> Using handbrake and the standard MP4 setting to compress a 2-minute video to MP4: br>Cooling pad for before: After about 10 seconds, internal fans would come on and spin at around 3000 rpm. It would take 31 seconds to render the video. br>After using the cooling pad: After about 20 seconds, the internal fans kicked in and spun at around 2700 rpm. The rendering time for this video was 28 seconds. br>br>Test 3: Browsing the Internet in General: br>Initial Cooling Pad: The temperature of the processors was around 55 degrees. br>Post Cooling Pad: So, there you have it. Processors sat at a 45-degree angle. br>br> On an '18 13" MPB, I ran some unofficial and basic tests to see how it helps. I hope this has been of assistance.

For long gaming sessions, this is extremely useful! With my MSI GS65 gaming laptop, I use this cooling pad on a daily basis
5/5

It's USB-powered and comes with three massive fans to keep the laptop as cool as possible while gaming. The blue LED lights are a nice touch that indicate when the mat is turned on and add to the overall aesthetic. br>br>On the back, near the power switch, there are two USB passthroughs, which is convenient because it uses one of your laptop's USB ports. (One USB is used to connect the pad to the laptop, leaving one available for another device. ) I believe the USBs are USB 2. br>br>It has kickstand legs that extend out to raise it at different angles depending on your working surface. They're not at all flimsy and are quite strong. br>br>It is made of plastic and is fairly lightweight, so it does not have the best build quality in the world. It is, however, lightweight, and because it is not made of metal, it will not become extremely hot. If I had one complaint, it would be that if you hold the cooling pad firm enough while it is on, the fans will rub against the chassis, causing a loud grinding noise; however, if you hold it carefully and don't clamp down on it, you won't have this problem very often. This has no effect on the cooling pad's performance, but it would be less of an issue if it were built a little stronger. br>br>The fans are quite quiet (much quieter than my laptop's fans). I have no trouble hearing sound from my computer speakers, but if you're going to game, I'd still recommend wearing headphones. br>br>Overall, I'd recommend this cooling pad to anyone looking for a low-cost alternative to a traditional cooling pad. Option that is friendly. It's not the best, but it gets the job done, and I can't say I'm disappointed.
