Questions & Answers
Any USB cable- C to USB- C with a minimum throughput capacity of 30W.
It should, according to Apple.
It is compatible with the vast majority of Apple products, if not all of them.
It works fine on my iPhone XS and iPad 2018, but it could be bad, so reclaim it.
Selected User Reviews For Apple 61W USB-C Power Adapter
My late-2019 MacBook Pro with 16-inch screen and newly updated magic keyboard came with an Apple 96W USB-C power adapter in the box. Before purchasing the usb c cable for fourteen dollars, I purchased a C Power Adapter for eighty dollars. I went with a less expensive option and ordered this model, which has 2/3 the charge power but costs only 55 buckaroos (the USB c cable must be purchased separately). It really works. I'm not a reviewer, so I didn't compare the two with a stopwatch, but I'll just say this is faster. Smaller brick for portability (I tend to backpack this one and leave the original charger at home), and it still charges quickly. It's also possible to use the McB Pro, which charges the computer even when it's being used heavily. It's not like the computer's battery life is gradually depleted. It keeps the computer charged while you're using it. Non-Non-Non-Non-Non-Non-Non-Non-Non-Non-Non Although Apple knockoffs are half the price or less, I've had problems with software recognition, charge times, overheating bricks, and general "burning out" and failure with those low-cost imports, so I now only use Apple brand chargers. In my experience, the savings from imports do not appear to be worth it in the long run. As the saying goes, "buy nice or buy twice. " This is a fantastic and cost-effective replacement for the large rapid charge brick that came with the computer. Thanks.
There is no cord included, so it's pretty useless.
For being overpriced, it receives four stars. There is nothing wrong with the product except for the price, which is absurdly high for a power adaptor.
It is a separate purchase that must be made. br>Based on a quick comparison with my other official Apple chargers, I'm guessing this is the official product (which is, I believe, what I ordered). br>The 61W USB C adapter would normally cost around $69 in a sealed box, and possibly $52 in an open box. The price had been slashed by 30% when I ordered it. The product works as advertised and charges my phone quickly. This is a great deal, and it was well worth the money. br>br>Here's something to think about: Check to see who the seller is and that the power supply has enough watts to support the device(s) you intend to use it with.
br>br>I'd like to give you some advice. Don't scrimp on your Apple devices by buying aftermarket or "gray market" parts. Apple computers are far too expensive to rely on low-cost gray market components.
After experimenting with third-party USB-storage solutions, C Power Adapters, the unavoidable conclusion is that you must use official Apple products if you want peace of mind that the item will work reliably without causing damage to your system. Yes, it is more expensive (Apple tax), but it is well worth it in the end. My wife tried a third-party charger, but it took longer and longer to charge her MacBook, until it finally died in the middle of a task she needed to complete while on vacation. I'll go with the safe, tried and true option.
This is identical to the one that came with my MacBook Pro. This is something I keep at work in case I forget to bring my charger with me. FYI: You'll need to buy a USB stick separately. Because it didn't come with one, I had to use a C cord.
This method is ineffective. My iPad Pro and MacBook Pro will not charge. Defective.
