Last year I bought it, and it does have 24 TB, but the hard drives are only two. An inch and a half. The storage capacity I have with RAID 5 is 17 TB.
The unit I got came with six SSD drives that were 1 TB each.
Solid State Drives (SSDs) are included in my set of 6 Patriot P200 1 TB SSDs. The WD Red SA500 2 TB SSDs have since been upgraded with six Western Digital WD Reds.
The disks that came with mine were included with my purchase It is not included in the purchase options. Make sure disks are included in the purchase you choose by carefully reading the listing.

The Synology DS620slim with six 1 TB Solid State Drives plus 6GB of RAM was purchased by me. I found assembling it to be very easy. As a media server, it was very easy to set up The video on the Synology's Disk Station Manager software was fairly straightforward, although I did watch some YouTube videos all the same. This is a very fast process This exceeds the capacity of my 1GB local network to transfer files at 110 MB/sec! A compact device that doesn't occupy much room on my desktop, the unit is small and easy to use. As of now, I'm very happy with how things are going.
Simple to install and easy to use, this 620Slim integrates seamlessly into a business environment. There are a lot of nice apps you can run on it once it's up and running, and it's also fairly trouble-free once it's up and running. The only two things I would like to improve are If I had to process a great deal of data, I would prefer it to have a bit more processing power and to perform slower under heavy usage. The following are also true. There was very little support available when I needed it. It is a good product to buy if you want to store a lot of stuff in a small space.
2 GHz. My Western Digital drive was not able to be set up on the remote location after several attempts. Now I can remotely access this drive without any issues. I did not have any issues while I was using another model's CPU. As of now, I am happy with my Synology and I am planning to buy a bigger one soon.
I purchased this unit as part of a bundle with six hard drives and an upgraded RAM configuration. Drives and RAM were easily installed, and the initial setup of the system went without a hitch. As of now, I am happy with the results. In that vein, let me say this. There are six Western Digital blue 2TB hard drives included with this unit. I was informed right out of the gate when creating my first initial storage pool that the drives I selected did not belong to Synology's recommendation list of storage drives for the RAID configuration. The research backed up this claim, with WD Blue drives clearly marketed and designed for desktop PC's as opposed to long-term or high-volume This was a really great opportunity if only they hadn't scrimped on the budget.
The interface is as simple as it always is on the user side, storage capacity is about what I expected, and transfer speed is fine
Interfaces with Amazon S3 storage for easy backups.
