I have installed dozens of these in my line of work and have always been disappointed in the technical support
5/5

In my proposal, I have highlighted the problems with these devices and what I think should be done to make them more usable by clients and IT admins remotely managing them. But I have received no response to all my requests. I own an IT company, which means I have to deal with technical issues on a daily basis It's never a problem for me. Heck, I am a tech expert Support. It's very frustrating to come across a company that will not listen to their customers or care about the product. With that being said, these devices are awesome! Many problems can be solved by them, but some can also be created. As these devices broadcast and have open ports, multiple people may try to hack your password consistently since these devices broadcast and have open ports. In order to do that, it will be necessary to install proper security measures. There are some things that you may not understand how to set up, so don't expect help with those To assist you with that, we are here to help. It would be easier for them to email you a link so that they can get off the phone as quickly If you can get a hold of tech support, there is If you call support, you will likely be on the phone for 30 minutes before the machine hangs up on you and you need to call I might find another company that had a better tech-based product if these devices did not appeal to me Please support me.

QNAP storage devices are very reliable, and we have installed many of them for local backup purposes. Our company purchased this unit to store backups off-site, and I regret the decision to buy it. The only thing I wanted out of this unit was for two folders to be open (without credentials) so that BackupExec could write It turns out that there is no way to create folders that are not open to the public You must log in with credentials to access any location on your device. Furthermore, the discs do not support AnyBody On All Devices, so you will have to create a RAID group in order to use them (thus consuming more This is for a 2-bedroom It is a very restrictive disc unit, even after contacting their tech support I was not able to set up a folder opened in the way I wanted (they told me that this unit cannot be used for open files). This is crazy.
In order to keep things in perspective, I have configured 50 of these Netgear 2-port Wireless AC routers We haven't experienced any problems with our disc units. Approximately five minutes have elapsed since the setup was completed. If all you want to do is store files, it is definitely not the unit for you. QNAP's tech support seems unable to assist with basic setup, and their settings are far too complex for a basic setup.
