Questions & Answers
It is a closed system used by all Buffalo TeraStations. The TeraStation doesn't have the ability to add applications. Transcoding HD video would also be quite difficult on most NAS devices due to their underpowered processors.
The manufacturer would most likely have to provide that to you. There may be an option to order by serial number on their website.

Using this storage, we can maintain a production file server with an additional storage space. Sadly, yesterday my Buffalo Terastation enclosure completely failed, and I also had a drive failure in my other Buffalo Terastation. Our Buffalo representative said he would get in touch with us within 24 hours It can take up to 48 hours to process. If you are utilizing this for business, it must be an international order A critical system relies on being online all the time, so if anything goes wrong, it doesn't have much urgency.
It comes with four bays filled with trays and four bays with additional trays ready for use. You can set up the system in a few minutes, it will become your own private cloud storage unit, and it can be linked with others to form a large You will need to purchase the TrendMicro NAS antivirus separately (BHPhoto), but includes Trend Micro NAS AV. Fast and it has 2 GB Ethernet ports as well as a 10Gb flexible port. Highly recommended for those who love movies as they can store all of their movies.
I very much appreciate how well this NAS is built because it is well built, has metal case and smooth looks, plug and play right out of the box, is easy to set up from anywhere on your network via its web interface. We are extremely happy with this NAS thanks to the excellent USA customer service.
This is a good product. It would have been nice if it had been emphasized that the size was BEFORE the raid. The 24TB translates into 16TB of available storage. It took a long time to transfer data from USB drives to the internal storage.
Having read all the reviews I was skeptical it would work as advertised. Although (setting up the security services) the setup in a business environment can be a little tricky. After about a month of using this product, only one minor issue has surfaced. The regular system status reports are excellent (seeing them on a weekly basis). Inclusion of a 10gb network connection makes this a very cool item to have.
Product updates can be applied via the product interface or downloaded from the product website.
easy, no hiccups, although some of the configuration of the drives and the raid array did take some time. But, given the size of the volumes being created and the subsequent raid volumes to be used, this is still a great NAS system. If there have been any changes since it was first introduced, I will add a review after 6 or 8 months of service. You should note With the addition of four new drives to the 13 TB configuration, I have over 20 TB in the raid array, a total of 32 TB. This leaves less than 10TB available for use (in the original configuration).
I have great success with Novastor HDS with a large storage capacity A large amount of memory An Ethernet device with 10Gb of bandwidth.
This product was easy to deploy. I did not need to engage their technical support staff to deploy this product, and it can be integrated easily It's a great product, but I would like to have a few more raid options.
