Questions & Answers

P10 is a USB 3.0 device, as stated in its press release. This listing says it is compatible with Gen 1, but it does not advertise that. Does anyone know if this is true?

It's not easy to find your way around the USB Forum. Do you have what it takes? I'll go ahead The USB 3.0 standard has been added to the USB 3.0 specification. Since 0 represents SuperSpeed, it would be very easy to determine what type of USB it is. Therefore, that designation is not used. 3. So that is what it is called. 0 was once the case, but no longer. The numbers 0 and 3 make up the number 0. A 1 gen 1 is exactly the same as a 1 gen 1, it has the same speed (5 gbps). USB 3 is the successor to USB 2.0. A gen 2 device is a gen 1. The speed is obviously an upgrade over Gen 1, but PSYCH is coming! Here we go again with name swapping! The third step is now. Adding 1 and 3 equates to 1. There are two generations of 1, and three generations of There was a gen 2 and a gen 2, and now there is a gen 3 as well. Generation 2 followed by generation I find it frustrating! Overall, this drive is USB 3. In summary, yes, it is USB 3. It can be 0, or it can be Gen 1 or 3 are the only choices. The 2nd generation, or gen 1. Call it what you want.

Can you tell me if it comes with a USB The marketing stuff is blah blah Blah blah blah The information was blah but little of it was helpful. ?

What kind of backup can I do with this hard drive? I would like to back up pictures, movies, Excel, and Word files. ?

Other than for storing data, any external hard drive would come in handy! I'm exasperated. The following is a translation of my writing in English. My guess is that it would work just fine I'm exasperated. Is it football? Apparently it depends if you mean football in the United States of America or football in the rest of the world. Let me just add my comments regarding the specific statement that CCP is a political party, not a manufacturer. You can find more information about Tailored Access Operations here. This is impossible to shuck
5/5

I will tell you a short story It is impossible to shuck this drive because it does not have a SATA interface and the USB control board is soldered to it. You can find details by following the attached images. The drive can be opened in just a few seconds. The aluminum plate should be secured using a 2mm hex screwdriver at each of the four corners. Remove the plate gently by prying it up and off. It will resist when you lift it, since there are four thin adhesive strips holding it in place. There you will find four plastic tabs that hold the enclosure to the drive. Pop these out. After lifting the drive up and out of the enclosure, it is now effortless to remove. As I inspected my drive, I found that it was a Western Digital WD50NMZW drive. Using USB as an interface and a board soldered on as a control. It is possible that the developer re-wrote the code Because, on the controller board, there are solder points consistent with a SATA port, which is in the location where you would think to find a port. Whatever the case, I learned my lesson, put the drive back together and now it serves me as an external USB drive. We still use it, and it still works well.

A solid foundation
4/5

I like what I see. Compared to other external drives with 5TB, this is a bit better. Throughout all tests, a USB 3 port was used. With the provided cable, it supports 1 GEN2 port. This is the full CrystalDiskInfo report & CrystalDiskMark report*
5400RPM There was a concern that 54TB usable) would be the best with 7200RPM. There you have it, the three. Drives with a size of 5 inches. The 'up to' 140MB/s claim was too aggressive. Amazon didn't use any additional protection in the shipping of this physical hard drive. It arrived in a bubble wrapped bag and manufacturer's It came in a nice western digital packaging.

The rubber feet are not 100% sticky, and will slide if you, by pulling the cord, are pulling them. I wasn't too impressed. After taxes, this amounts to $160. Seagate MyBackup Plus 5TB is available for.

This is loud
4/5

So far, things are going well and the system The only complaint I have is that it's a little too loud. Humming noise can be annoying when it keeps happening continuously. Update

Place it on a mousepad or desk and the sound will be almost nonexistent.

After 30 days, the program fails
3/5

There is no concern on Amazon's part. A complete and utter waste of time. Having bought the drive 30 days earlier, it started failing 30 days later. Each time I reformatted, I got the same result. It doesn't work on any new device I have tried. A new one was ordered through amazon customer support. After about three hours of back and forth, the ignorant, unskilled support staff made it clear they will not replace or refund the item. That's trash, end of story. Purchase does not make sense.

I would give it a 4 out of 5
3/5

Initially, I was afraid that it would not work, but it works beautifully. Simply plug in the cable, and your Xbox will prompt you to format the drive.

My only complaints are these Yet the drive is called "Black" yet has the majority of white on it. Not a deal breaker, but just a minor inconvenience. A second complaint is that this is not a 5TB drive - it is a 4TB drive. My drive is a 5TB drive, but due to system files, I understand that the drive is not the stated capacity on the box. The drive had already been used up to 500GB when it was freshly installed. I just installed a drive without an operating system and it has already gathered that many requests.

I've enjoyed all the drives so far
5/5

The 5TB version has been purchased by me 5 times already. It didn't matter that one of the cables I received was bad because I had extra cables. As far as drives go, they have been fantastic. My drives have each been written with more than 2TB of data with no issues. Due to the fact that until now the biggest external USB hard drive you could get that didn't require an external power supply was 2TB, I purchased them. I am in the process of replacing the old drives with new ones so it's up to 5TB now. WD has been a good fit for me over the years.

This HDD has an amazing amount of storage space
5/5

Because of its low price and the fact that it's a "5 TB hard drive", this is great for anyone who wants tons of storage for an affordable price and high quality. It should be able to hold more than one hundred games, if not up to two hundred of them. As for the speed of writing, it is tremendous! A hard drive is an electronic device that stores information. If it has moving parts, it is best not to be rough with it. There are no guarantees on how durable it is, but it seems like it could handle a few drops.

It was a very good purchase
5/5

I paid $119 for this 5TB drive. A regular passport costs $129, but a passport with my name on it costs $99. I'm impressed by what I see at first glance In comparison with the 4TB MT passport from 2018, this product has very low vibration and noise. It is impossible for me to state how reliable I am, but I feel confident.
