It's not as bad as you believe. Reminder: This is NOT the Flex 5, but the Flex 14iWL 81sq. br>br>On Amazon, there are so many laptops that look and sound alike that it's easy to overlook some potential sleepers. One of them, I believe, is this one. Why? 1. br>br> Normally, this budget model with the 5405U processor comes with a lower resolution TN screen of 1366x768 pixels. This one has an IPS 1080 resolution and looks fantastic. 2. br>br>1. br>br>br>br>br>br This is the only sub-section that has been created. On Amazon, you can get a 500 laptop with expandable memory for 500 dollars. The 4GB is not soldered in place and can be removed. 3. br>br>4. br>br>5. br>br>6. The Pentium 5405U appears to be of lower quality than it actually is. It performs similarly to, if not identically to, the predecessor i3 7020u, with benchmarks comparable to mobile i5s such as the i5-7020u. 6200u is a processor found in older Thinkpads that are still in use. Unless you plan on doing photo/video editing or gaming, the 5405u should suffice. br>br>4. The build quality, feel, and flexibility are all impressive, enough to warrant writing a review. So far, this hasn't been noticeable in the real world; the laptop is responsive and snappy as is; however, if you plan on doing some intensive work on occasion, you might want to consider upgrading the SSD to compensate. br>br>That's all there is to it. There aren't any more drawbacks that come to mind. This turns off all of Windows' bells and whistles, lowering power consumption and, as a result, extending battery life; I do the same thing on my desktop. I prefer the cleaner look, and the OS is faster. On a laptop, who cares about drop shadows? 2. br>br>1. br>br>br>br>br>br Chrome is a browser that should be avoided at all costs. Chrome has been repeatedly demonstrated to be the worst option for both ram usage and battery life, with Firefox and Edge faring better, with Microsoft Edge leading the pack in terms of battery life. br>br>3. If you aren't using Bluetooth, turn it off. If you don't have Bluetooth, this is a must-have item. Because of the halved PCIe lanes mentioned earlier, Bluetooth consumes quite a bit of battery power as well as other resources. Don't just turn off the computer's sound. Select Blue tooth, right-click, and disable in Device Manager (located in the bottom left corner of your laptop). You can turn it on and off as needed. Now keep an eye on how much longer your battery lasts. Later on, you'll be grateful. br>br>For $400, this laptop has proven to be a good buy. If anything changes, I'll let you know. This could be the best deal on Amazon right now for budget laptops.
I needed a laptop for both of my jobs, so I was looking for a good deal; my previous laptop was a two-in-one Yoga Thinkpad that I bought four years ago and loved, so when I saw this, I grabbed it right away! I was eyeing a laptop that cost twice as much, but it wouldn't be delivered until July. br>br> When I tried it out, I was not disappointed. Following graduation, I was on the lookout for the ideal laptop to use as I transitioned into the workforce and the world of entrepreneurship. I was weighing my options for a laptop. It wasn't until I came across this Lenovo 2-in-1 laptop that I realized what I had been missing out on. I was able to rule out all other convertible laptops with the exception of one. I received it in the mail in less than two days, and everything works perfectly. It is the most excellent laptop I have ever owned.
The computer I bought for my son's elementary school schoolwork and online gaming is of high quality, which surprised me given how much less expensive it is than the laptops I've been using for work. My son enjoys the two-in-one mode, which includes a laptop mode for schoolwork and a touch screen tablet mode for fun. The sound quality is excellent as well, particularly when using the headphones. Third, it is extremely light, making it very easy for my son to transport. My son is very pleased with his new laptop, and he has been using it to complete homework and play games.
The 2- One of the features is fantastic. The unit is small and light. All of my problems stem from the fact that I am unfamiliar with Windows 10. I recommend purchasing Windows 10 for Dummies from Amazon. com. That book is on its way to me.
So far, the laptop appears to be in good working order, but the camera is not working. A reddish blur is all that is visible.
It's a little heavy, lacks a backlit keyboard, and could benefit from an offset pad to reduce accidental typing interference. Aside from that, it is extremely fast, even when multiple tabs and programs are open, and it has a true FHD touchscreen with excellent color reproduction. The vendor was fantastic, and the delivery was on time and in perfect condition. There is no better value in a two-in-one at this price.
The setup instructions were a little hazy, and it took me a while to figure out how to set them up to work with the classroom, but I guess that's what youtube is for. I would have given it five stars if it hadn't been for that and the fact that one of the units arrived with a screen flicker issue. It was promptly replaced after it was returned to the company.
