I have a problem though. Make changes to your size in advance (be careful). The Pioneer BDR-800300 is the subject of this review The 209D is a bare drive and does not contain any annoying or useless I'll begin with a word about software. VLC (free) can be used to play commercial Blu-ray and DVD movie disks or any other video/audio file. is easy to use for the beginner and has a lot of features for the advanced user. You have to download and copy 2 files in addition to Blu ray to play Blu-ray films. Find VLC blu ray on Google by typing "VLC blu ray. ". It is quite simple and straight forward, and you can also find detailed instructions on YouTube for those who are not technically inclined. There are two free software tools (MakeMkv and Hand Brake) that can convert Blu-ray / DVD movies without becoming a nuisance. I can then play the movie (with VLC) from my hard drive or burn it to an optical disc after removing all that pesky commercial code and saving to my hard drive. It is also possible to playback Power DVD on a computer with the PAID version. A huge advantage of Power DVD is that it gives you a simple and hassle-free way to play directly to an external device such as a receiver without running If you play directly to a receiver, you'll experience a big difference in volume. No matter how new it is, you'll find it useful It is not possible to beat an AVR or a decent external DAC with the best motherboard sound chips. Let me now introduce
We are pleased to report that the Pioneer seems to work as expected after initial installation. After purchasing an LG UH12NS30 Blu-ray player/DVD writer (which failed within 25 days, the replacement was also defective), I purchased an LG UH62SN30 Blu-ray player/DVD writer. *2. The LG's "REAL WORLD" read (ROM) speed really lacked that of the Samsung (*3. The following 8x- Five times) compared to Seven Times (*7). A DVD could not be written to the LG (a problem with the SATA controller). In addition to flawlessly burning Blu-ray discs, the Pioneer also burns DVDs. There is very little noise when you play, copy, or burn. During installation Note that this Pioneer drive is a The length of this statement is 09. 5". There may be cases where this will not work. There is a Cooler Master mini-computer in my possession The tower case (great case) comes with a mini hard disk A motherboard that fits the ATX form factor. In the post-preparation phase When I measured clearance, I determined that it would just about fit. In order to make the drive fit, the corner mounting screw on the motherboard had to be removed. The quality of construction was excellent According to the build quality and solidity of the drive, it appears to be good for an optical drive. Ejecting files is easy to do by pressing the button, and it feels solid when pressed. My habit is to rip six blu-rays on a weekly basis. It will be interesting to see how long this As of now, everything is going according to plan! If you can get the deal for $55 over at Amazon, this would be a great buy )UPDATE 6/17/16
Still going strong after *2 years. The optical drive is awesome).

The Blu-ray disc Instead, use a budget of 209M
3/5

It has been a while since I liked this drive, so The 2209/BDR-M, also known as the 209M The 2209/BDR is There is a 209D drive in place of the 209UBK. As soon as I unpacked it, it had issues. In an enclosure external to the PC, I tried to test it, but that did not work. There were several occasions when discs would not burn, dropping to zero. I am never able to resume after a 0x. ImgBurn would have to be shut off and then turned back on again to terminate. I put the 2209 in the same enclosure earlier this year and it did not do this. The original 1 only had that option back then. Version 34 of the firmware is available. The 209D has been upgraded to version It is recommended that you place 50 in the enclosure before you test Therefore, it could be a firmware issue, but I don't think so. As a result of this, the drive leaves behind an ozone/chlorine odor as soon as the discs are ejected. Br - BD As a result of this behavior, the SL and DL of RE files will be verified in ImgBurn at a faster rate for a time, then slow down to 2X for a while before resuming at a faster rate. As far as the 2209 is concerned, it doesn't It is possible for 8x Ritek DVD+RW to fail the Verify process even after the disc has just been formatted. By using the same image and burning software as those that failed in the 2209, these same discs will succeed in the 2210. According to my research, the 209D has some issues. I can't be sure if this is a flawed unit, because it has been working fine for everything else, but if these issues existed in the 209M, I strongly recommend skipping the 209D. In addition to costing more, it also performs more tasks. Media can be played on BDXL and TL discs and M-DVDs Media that can be played on discs is not supported by the 209D. 209Ms have been my primary drive for years with relatively few issues, so I will skip the 209D model for my next drive. In the near future, I will purchase another 209M, and you should make the same move. The following is an edit to version 05. This year In my review, I changed the word "like" to "hate. ". Later, I removed and replaced it with a 2209, which I am confident works perfectly I got too many failed ImgBurn checks and bad write errors. Maybe this drive is just junk straight from the box, or I got a bad drive. It doesn't matter how you slice it, I don't recommend the 209, and I recommend you get the 2209. As it happened, I found out just 15 days after the return window closed that it failed, so I have a $70 piece of garbage. Therefore, I recommend that you don't risk your money on this drive.

EDIT In my experience, I am now blaming the enclosure for the failure of the drive to communicate with it. In 2 different PCs, with 2 different optical drives, and on two different Blu-ray players There were times when I was unable to communicate with the enclosure using disks R and DVD+RW. Therefore, that particular aspect of my review appears to be the fault of the enclosure.

However, it does not work
4/5

During the review process, I mainly focused on one aspect that I was unhappy It's time to rip the CDs! As long as the CD is in good condition, ripping is a fine process, but at times when the CD is scratched, I get a lot of skips in the final audio file. Here is my problem I rip lots of audio books for my phone. I can rip scratched CDs with my 9 year old LiteOn DVD burner without any errors. The drive still received 4 stars even though not many people rip CD's these days, but if you must, look for one that is good at what you intend to use it for. Additionally, Lite On brand drives do not support blue ray. Therefore, will they add Blue ray capabilities with a lower quality optical device, or will they use regular CD lasers instead? So far I have not played any Blueray discs.

I believe Burns is a terrorist
5/5

Burning discs DVDs with the best burner available in A wide range of media, such as DVDs and Blu-ray, can be burned on this unit with the highest level of accuracy It carries a higher price point than any other unit currently on the market. The fact that it also burns M- was a surprise to me It burns DVDs just fine and with much lower error rates than two LG burners that I have. If you need to burn M-DVDs, you don't have to buy a separate burner. Those who need to burn DVD discs, this unit will do. It will also burn other media, including M-discs. There are two Blu-ray discs Blu-Ray discs, since they can be played by any Blu-Ray player It is a burner powered by rays. Compared to other units I have tested, it burns both with the lowest rate of errors. Below is a screen shot of the test results for an M-type computer In this unit, a disc was burned. You can see on the upper graph that the top number It is a good metric for an M-sized firm, especially for a PIE error rate of 14. It's on disc. One of my two LG burners had an error rate of more than 100 percent. In case you need to archive important documents or photos, for long-term archiving or for long-term storage, the quality of your burned discs is crucial This is the unit I recommend to you if you're looking for long-term disc storage.
