It did the same thing to me on my alienware and I got a similar response. As it turned out, I had the antennas mixed up. Furthermore, the system used its own generic drivers so it was not required to download bloatware from Intel. It may help to know this.
The answer to this question is yes.
The two tiny antennas on the adapter can probably just be attached with a clip I bought this for my laptop so I clipped them on.

For Linux, we have the x kernel. In my new Dell XPS 15 9570, I bought this module to replace the Killer wifi card which appeared to be problematic. I love how easy the install was Changing memory is easy (about as easy as swapping the RAM in a laptop), and both Windows and Linux (Ubuntu 18) support this. A similar Bluetooth and WiFi module (04LTS) recognized the device out of the box, and had it up and running within seconds. There is one caution to be noted here The speed of the network may not be fully available on your Linux computer sometimes. The download speed in Ubuntu 18. 2 was 3MB/s. For the same hardware dual-core, on the same Linux distribution, 4LTS stocks are faster than 55MB/s in Windows 10 I booted up. When you upgrade to version 4, a new window will appear. Using the x linux kernel (UKUU on Ubuntu can do this for you), the network speeds are comparable to Windows 10 without the need to make any other configurations or changes.
I just replaced the Intel 3165 inside of my Dell Inspiron gaming 15 with this replacement and it works like a charm A series of 7000 computers. As it was a 1x1 device, I wasn't as satisfied with the performance on the 5Ghz band as I was when I had the 3165, but I got Bluetooth 5 instead of There was a version 2 of the 3165, so that was a plus. I still have amazing signal strength (it was before as well, admittingly), but now it is even more impressive. I now get 866mbps on my Unifi AP AC Pro at VHT80 setting on the 5GHz band.
Please be patient. I quickly discovered that I needed to download the Intel drivers once I had installed the chip on the motherboard. Please be patient. After downloading the drivers to my cell phone (main driver and Bluetooth driver), I transferred the files to my desktop to finish the installation.
I replaced the factory installed Intel 7265NGW in my Asus Zenbook Pro UX501VW with this card. While both Intel and Asus declined to provide any assistance on compatibility and advised me against modifying my laptop, my own assessment of the specs indicated they are If I didn't like it, I could return it and the seller would refund me my money. You did a great job there. It was the driver issues that were the most difficult for me. The latest driver from Intel should be downloaded before upgrading, and the old driver must be uninstalled and the new installed after the upgrade. It is also difficult to get an antenna connection right, and it is susceptible to damage Reading horror stories online gave me a better sense of what I needed to do. Before installing the card, I used a magnifying lamp and connected the wires. We are overjoyed with the upgrade and thank you Your cooperation is greatly appreciated!.
I upgraded from a Killer wireless card to this one. To install the new card, I initially removed all connected Bluetooth devices (if I don't do this, then there will be a removal error after the new card is installed, and I will have to use the Windows Device Manager to search It is easy to install the hardware, regardless of the antenna color, just connect the original Main antenna to the Main connector on the new card, and the original AUX antenna to the AUX connector on the new card. Windows 10 drivers are automatically installed after the new card is installed. As of this point, WIFI and BT should both work and all BT devices should pair. In order to complete the process, you must The Intel Display driver needs to be installed, rebooted, and then installed again Get screen mirroring, or projection, working on a wireless monitor, called WiDi, or called Miracast. You'll need to install and restart the Intel Display driver. It only took about 30 minutes of trial and error for everything to work I'm very happy with the end result, it took about 30 minutes to finally get it all to work Hopefully it will be of some help to someone.
There's a nice drop in this Upgrades are available for most laptops or across the board There is only one system. A 7265 with 4 Bluetooth ports was installed in my old system. 0 works fine but gets a little sluggish over time. It took only a few seconds for me to change out the old and plug in the new card. As far as wireless performance goes, I find no real difference between the two. Considering that I have a 100mbps connection, the card is not the issue, but rather the service. However, Bluetooth 5 does not affect the speed at all. A nice feature of 0 is that it supports multiple devices on the same connection and has a better broadcast range. The Bluetooht 5 protocol is not yet supported by most devices. Since it is so new, it has a score of 0. Considering its $30 price tag and five minutes installation time, it is definitely worth installing!.
The 802. 11 I used was this one. It was time to upgrade my Lenovo Yoga 920's existing Atheros QCA61x4A card to the new 11ac+BT card. Having an Atheros router constantly dropped its wireless connection was frustrating. Compared to the Intel card, it works much better. Additionally, you may want to know that- Somehow Windows 10 had installed the driver for this card before I was able to run Intel's executable. Normally, TOS would recommend downloading Intel drivers prior to removing this card. So that I was certain that I was on the latest driver, I uninstalled the driver that Windows was already installing and downloaded an executable from Intel's website. Reconnecting the tiny RF cables is not easy. Make sure that the connectors are not damaged. It is not possible for me to recommend a tool to help you. Whenever I have to deal with these tiny connections, I have a lot of patience and energy to spare. Make sure not to damage the antenna connectors on your laptop when you're doing this!.
I have a MSI GS60 laptop that I purchased back in 2015. It came with a Killer 1525 wifi card. The card has always been unstable and incompatibly connected to the network. As a result, Windows 10 did not recognize it as a last week, so I researched the Intel 9620 and eventually selected it Today, I received my new computer and in less than 30 minutes I had it installed and I could connect to the internet again. I then went to device manager and right clicked the unrecognized network card, and told Windows to locate the update online once the upgrade had been completed. (The laptop has been hard wired to the router with a shielded CAT7 cable since the card failed last week. The laptop companies who still put RJ45 ports on their laptops deserve praise, because wireless is not always an option). A driver was found within 30 seconds and downloaded and installed within a few minutes. As soon as I got back to my desktop, I launched the wifi network connection thingy and selected my network, typed in the password, and then I was done. The internet is like a dream come true for me. So far, the speed has been lightning fast, and there have been no hiccups This is one of my favorite cards of all time. I wish the 1525 had broken earlier! The only complaint I have is that they don't have Bluetooth There are zero cards available for this one.
