Questions & Answers

Could you please tell me what kind of power connection it comes with?

There is a type B in this device

Would the MB be the PCI for those that say so?

A motherboard has two slots. These are the Mb slots.

Can anyone tell me if this power supply has had any issues?

Several months ago, I bought two of these units for machines I was building in the office. One of them was defective. As soon as I contacted the powers that be, it was replaced immediately. My computer power supplies have been from EVGA for quite some time now. The one time I faced a problem was the first and only time.

Which of the following are the differences between the b5, b3, bq, br, ba, bt, ?

It's true that the BQ, BR aren't fully modular, and thats what you need for building a clean system. Not only is the B5 fully modular, but it also has a great price. This means that you only use the wires that you need, and you can also buy individually sleeved cables in a variety of I'd suggest you steer clear of power consumption below 550 watts and choose something between 850 and 750 watts instead. If you were to get a RTX 3070 or an RTX 3080, you would reach a sweet spot

As you can see, this is most certainly not an SFX power supply
4/5

I have been searching the internet for any SFX unit that could be used in my current build, as supplies are scarce in this pandemic. It looked compact, kept saying it was small in the description so I figured it would be good for an ITX build. When I saw it at maybe 3 am my sleep deprived brain decided it should Not at all! There are two ATX power supplies in this package. It would be nice if it were a bit more prominent.

I like the cable clip quality and the HEFT of the main unit
5/5

The unit looks and installs smoothly. Some people wonder what the difference is between a "high end" PSU (power supply) like an EVGA unit and a cheaper one like the RaidMax Bronze 635 watt with which I replaced this EVGA B5 550 watt. I'll tell you something, you can feel the difference as soon as you see it. Many higher quality power supplies will be heavier than cheaper, lower quality ones since the materials used in their capacitors are more dense and therefore heavier than those in cheaper power supplies or even those of higher quality, so their capacitors are typically higher quality, denser and therefore heavier. Despite the fact that weight isn't always a good indicator, it's a simple fact that thicker coils and capacitors, which are used to make stronger power supplies, do result in a heavier machine. Furthermore, this also provides the unit with a considerable amount of HEFT, making it feel good in the hand. Likewise, the clips that connected the two ends of the modular cables were of excellent quality, clipping in very easily after I was able see them clearly once I had a light on inside my case to illuminate them. The problem lies with the PSU and not the PSU itself. Ultimately, all but one of the cables were used, the molex cable that came with the kit. My ColorfulMod brand extensions connected to these cables with a satisfying click as well, in contrast to those on the cheap and low quality RaidMax, where even after forcing the connections together, the cords still didn't connect perfectly. In order to make your build look good, however, you do not need to purchase extensions because the cables have black sleeving and black rubber insulation. One complaint is the length of the sata power cables, however they are the standard length for an ATX PSU so I have no issue with them, nor would I expect them to include a sata power extension, nor am I sure EVGA even makes their own. There might be Sata power extensions at the house, but I have not Buy them if they have a sata cable and your case has drives that need sata power spread throughout it. If they don't make a sata cable, don't buy them if you have case accessories. If you are going to add extensions to your house, make sure that they are good quality so that they match the **NOTE** There is a built-in splitter on the VGA cable to hook up a 16-channel monitor The pin is 12 inches long A 14 pin, or pin graphics card as well as 8 or 6 pin, or plugging in extensions to do so, which is a great feature. I was concerned I would not have a choice of graphics cards and would have to return the unit to get another with another VGA cable connector. I believe this 550 watt power supply is tremendously good, and with a 65 watt CPU (like many AMD Ryzen 5 chips), it will most likely provide enough power for a 3070 and everything else in your rig. It is generally recommended to use 600/650 as a CPU overclocking strategy. If you are building a new computer, upgrading an older computer with a very old power supply, or installing a power supply in a prebuilt computer that you purchased that came with a power supply that had no name on it, you might want to consider this option. Ratings of a psu from a company you aren't able to find, or a supposedly rated psu from a company you don't know anything about.

There is no better way to power your system than with a modular power supply! As far as I know, early models of modular power supplies have not been used in computers before
5/5

Thru my new case, I have only two cables. One goes to the mainboard, and the other goes to One other cable runs from a SATA HDD to the motherboard, but it does not have to run into the case at all (thanks to a It took me some time to figure out which end of the cable goes into the appropriate mainboard port and which one goes into the PSU, but that can easily be attributed to the fact that I had never installed a modular power supply YMMV (you may have different results). I discovered that working from the mainboard to the PSU was best. There is something very nice about not having those groups of tied-up workers in the office Taking off any unused cables cluttering up my case by tucking them away out of the way. In the end, the small amount of extra effort required to connect the power cables to the PSU is well worth it to get a The new design is not only better-looking, but also more comfortable Efforts have been made to greatly improve the flow of information through the case. Therefore, the system will operate more quietly and efficiently, and it will be more stable. If you need a replacement Power Supply or wish to build your own computer, this is the power supply for you. Thanks, My2Cents, Ernie.

I CANNOT RECOMMEND YOU TO BUY THIS DANGEROUS FIRE HAZARD AT ALL
3/5

In need of a temporary power supply, I found a good deal on a unit much bigger than I needed by a once trust brand. This power supply fried almost 3 thousand dollars worth of PC parts despite being under the maximum A loud pop sounded on its third day and it failed to turn back on. It started smoking and gave off an offensive The product should not be purchased. This is a virus that can and will destroy your computer.

It has been flawless for the past six months
5/5

I installed this in a computer I built in January 2021 and it worked perfectly. On a Tomahawk B450 Max mobo, with GTX 1660 Super, 16GB of RAM and a Ryzen 5 3600, running with a Ryzen 5 3600. Performs exceptionally well in games and extreme situations.

The GPU (EVGA GTX 3070) was perfect for my needs with our midtower case
5/5

Although using the EVGA GTX 3070 caused a bit of trouble getting the side panel mounted on the case. Due to the awkward shape of my deck, I had to get extensions from e Bizzle, but I did manage to have enough clearance.

It runs a 5700XT comfortably and is incredibly fast
5/5

There are many reasons to consider an EVGA power supply. In the past, my antique bronze 450 power supply was powering my 5577XT, but it had seen better days. Having decided to get another EVGA power supply for $40, I decided to get this model. There was no doubt in my mind. This is a very easy to install system, and since it is fully modular, it made installing it a total breeze. With a five year warranty, that's a great deal! Take it or leave it, there is nothing to lose. I love this power supply!.

There is a metal part inside that is broken! Today, I was greeted by this vehicle that had a moving part inside As you can see in the pictures, the metal part was in the fan my PC may have been destroyed if I used it
3/5

Now that I have to wait for my refund to come back, I must locate another and wait for it to come to me so that I can have a completed PC. I wish I had some compensation for all of this hassle and wait, but I don't.
