Questions & Answers

Why is this model so much lighter than the others?

Is it. Do you think you've grown in strength?

Will the new 3070 cards work with this? They need a 12-pin connection to work. Is it possible to make two 6 pin connectors without using their two pins?

My connector can split in the same way that yours can. I'd just double-check that your power supply is adequate; the newer cards are quite power hungry.

Is there a 6pin and 4pin cpu connector for the z390 on this power supply?

I did not review this power supply, but these are the connectors that came with it from the manufacturer.br>br>Connector Quantity 24 Pin ATX 1x EPS (CPU) 2x 8pin (4 4) PCIe 6x 8pin (6 2) SATA 9x Four-port SATA 4x Floppy 1x Peripheral Pin Peripheral Pin Peripheral Pin Peripheral Pin Peripher

Is it possible to upgrade a 650w evga supernova nex650g psu to an 850w evga supernova 850 g3 psu without removing all of the old psu's cables?

I actually upgraded from an Evga Supernova 650w and it's all universal and all the cables fit perfectly. It'll just slide in and all your cables will fall into place. a great question:

ONLY IF THEY ARE ABLE TO SELL YOUR INFORMATION DO THEY PROVIDE A WARRANTY
3/5

To get the warranty, you must go online and register the product; however, in order to get to the registration page, you must first create an account and then "accept the processing of my personal data as set out in EVGA's Privacy Policy. " "br>br>That's a load of nonsense, and I'm not buying any more EVGA power supplies. When a customer buys a product, you don't include things like this in the warranty. It's completely absurd. Without a doubt, I will return.

Wait until you have a problem before contacting their tech support, because they will not assist you
3/5

They want you to fail, and they'll do everything they can to ensure that you do Rather than simply replacing the product, Rude Rude and Rude require a level of testing that is beyond the capabilities of the average customer. br>With my X99 EVGA motherboard and EVGA power supply, this unit would stop working one day and would not turn on. The only thing there was was a flashing 5vsb light. After much trial and error We read on the internet that the power supply needed to be replaced because it was defective. This is what we did, and the unit now functions properly. When we told their tech support that the unit now works after we replaced the power supply, they refused to give us an RMA ticket. This usually indicates that they are unwilling to honor the warranty. If you're considering purchasing an EVGA product, keep this in mind.

My HDDs were shorted as a result of this
3/5

The computer would not turn on after installing the power supply; however, after removing everything except the ram, CPU, and boot drive, it did turn on, but the motherboard did not recognize the HDD. It no longer posted after I added the other two HDDs. Returning to the single HDD it mentioned earlier, there is still no HDD found. Finally, I tried a storage HDD instead of my boot drive, and I saw black smoke coming from the SATA power connection on the HDD. br>br>Finally, I tried a storage HDD instead of my boot drive, and everything was fine. br>br>Finally, I tried a storage HDD instead of my boot drive, and I saw black smoke coming from the SATA power connection on the HDD. I replaced my boot drive to see if it had been the source of the problem all along. yupp. Fortunately, none of my hard drives have been damaged; however, I am furious. There's no way this should have passed quality control. I could have lost all of my data, as well as my motherboard and graphics card. This can't be allowed. If you do decide to purchase this power supply, test it on hardware that you are willing to lose. EDIT: br>br> My computer did start up once after reconnecting my old power supply, but that was the only time it worked. I wrote this review under the impression that I had not lost anything. My motherboard, it turns out, is no longer functional (it only recognizes one of my three hard drives). ) In addition, my boot SSD is no longer functional. My two HDDs are working fine after replacing my boot SSD and motherboard, but the SSD is definitely dead. As a result, I strongly advise you to stay away from this power source.

Is it also a contaminated tester? I intended to use this power supply for my GTX 1070 sli setup, which I was planning to upgrade from a single GTX 1070 and a 460w power supply in an Alienware Aurora r5
3/5

It was actually quite simple to test, and the results indicated that everything was in order. So I stuffed everything in, and while it wasn't difficult to get the cables into my small case, it was still a pain. br>br> After putting everything together and closing my computer case, I tried turning it on. The first time it didn't work, so I pressed the second button and it turned on. However, there was no display, so I double-checked the HDMI cables, which were secure. I then tried plugging everything in and out with the same result. So I messed around with my graphics card, trying to fit it into each vga slot, but nothing worked. I even swapped gpus in each slot and tried different vga cables that came with the power supply, but nothing worked. After that, I plugged in an older graphics card from around 2010-2011. It worked perfectly in 2011, but the gtx 1070s refused to turn on. I called EVGA and they said I have a bad rail that won't provide enough power, so what good is the testing kit if it didn't detect that defect? If power was delivered to the cards, it could have fried my PC. As a result, I initiated a return and placed an order for a gq 750. It has to be in good working order. Experience was awful.

The 850 G3 is ideal for a mid-size tower
5/5

This is a nice power supply from a reputable company with a solid 10-year warranty. PROS: br>br>
- Fully modular design allows you to keep unnecessary cables out of your case and increase airflowbr> - The fan only turns on when gaming (heavy load) in Eco mode, which keeps the unit quiet during low / medium load. br> - Cons: Clean, low ripple power with all of the safety featuresbr>br>PROS: Clean, low ripple power with all of the safety featuresbr>br>CONS:
- My mid-size tower's cables are the perfect length, but I don't think they're long enough for full-size towers. You'd have to run the cables all over the place, obstructing airflow and creating a cluttered appearance. The cables are far too short to be routed behind the motherboard of a full-size tower. br>br>Conclusion: br>br> This is a fantastic power supply that comes with a ten-year warranty from EVGA. This is an excellent choice if you have a mid-size tower; however, full-size tower owners may have difficulty keeping the cables hidden while still reaching where they need to go. Don't skimp on the power supply and risk frying all of your high-end components! br>br>NOTE: if you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, this is the place to be Make sure to register your power supply with EVGA as soon as possible, and upload a copy of your invoice for future warranty claims.
