I burnt my computer because of this power supply
3/5

It came in with a damaged box, and I began inspecting the power supply. When I did so, there was a strange smell. On my rig, I decided to test the power supply, and I noticed smoke coming out of the crystal case and switched everything off immediately. I noticed that one of the fan cables attached to the sp120 was completely burnt from top to bottom, and the fan controller smelled like plastic that had been burned. After waiting one day for the smoke smell to go completely away from my room, the PSU still smelled like burned oil, but the rest of the parts that were not the SP120 fans did not have burned electronic smells emanating from As I troubleshot the rest of the components, I noticed that my processor went dead after the incident. I'm currently waiting for Corsair to contact me to assist me. In addition, they asked that I send all the affected parts to their lab, but since I live outside of the US, I would have to send the PSU alone, and I can't even imagine how much more it would cost to send the entire case and processor to their facility. There's no question that the 1 star review is well deserved.

COSAIR IS A SCAM! DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! My PC is powered by this power supply, and I got it
3/5

Over the course of four years, I spent over $8,000 In total, it took me five hours to install and organize the back end cables. Even though I had put in a lot of time, I was proud of what I accomplished. As soon as I assembled everything again, I turned on my computer. There is nothing. Despite my best efforts, my computer did not power on. There was so much I didn't understand. The following is my revised version As I opened the back panel to inspect the cables and everything, I made sure I had wired everything in the proper order. To make sure all was set up correctly, I double checked the plugs. I turned on the PC again and it still does not work. Angry was all I could say. The cables have been changed multiple times with no success. Afterwards, there would be two more Trying to figure out why my computer isn't getting power has taken me three hours. After a lot of back and forth, we agreed that COSAIR's PSU is faulty and has been damaged. It was a waste of 160 dollars. My PSU was an EVGA 1000W and it performed flawlessly.

Dead on arrival
3/5

A beautiful power supply arrived on time, in perfect condition, and easy to install. It made no noise whatsoever and looked like it had just arrived straight from the factory. A voltage can be either an input voltage or an output voltage. Corsair's direct contact information is provided to you below. Amazon informed me they were out of stock and recommended that I contact After explaining the situation, the first customer service representative at Corsair was extremely sympathetic and helpful and offered to generate an RMA and replace the PSU right away. No further action was taken. Corsair told me to contact Amazon since I bought the PSU through them since I bought it through them. I contacted them again and the next representative told me to contact As a result, I returned the PSU for a refund and got a new I shared that information with the second Corsair rep on the call and he responded almost a week later that I would be able to exchange the power supply as Amazon was out of stock (which I had also shared on the initial call). As the Corsair PSU had been returned by then and the new PSU was on its way, we had ordered the other PSU. After last week's delivery of the other PSU, installation was completed, and it worked perfectly. The best part of the whole process was the ease with which Amazon handled the return. We completed the task in a jiffy.

There is a problem with the power supply
3/5

EVGA is the way to go. There is a problem with the power supply. I spent half a day trying to figure out why my new PSU kept turning on and off, and I had never thought it might be because of the motherboard. When I spend $320 on a PSU, my expectations are much higher.

The price is totally worth it because my old PSU sounded like a tractor at full load, so I needed a quiet PSU, and this one meets my requirements perfectly
5/5

I like the look of it, and I like how simple it is There are a couple of This is *br1. There's a strange smell coming from the fan. The air blows with a plastic taste. The blackheads tend to disappear after a few days. * * 2. I found it difficult to install the screws for the first time, but only the first time.
3. When you purchase a PSU for its low noise, you get exactly what you paid for, but once you realize there are other parts in your computer that are noisy, such as your GPU fan, case fan, CPU cooler, HDD, etc. I recommend replacing the entire system over time. This power supply gets you spoiled, in a nutshell. As of right now, I have only used it for a few days, so I can't comment on its quality. In case you don't see me complaining about durability, the power supply must be working OK.

Within two years, IT DROPPED LIKE A DUMP! The PC I built in September 2018 is not really at fault
5/5

I came home as usual from work, turned on the PC as usual, and it was running fine. Up until now, there haven't been any problems. My nose caught the smell of burning plastic I just wanted to mention something In order to assess the situation, I shut down, disconnected from the wall and unplugged the device immediately. Not a single thing seemed out of place. He was no longer bothered by the smell. The items did not appear to have melted or been burned. The power supply sparked the cord plugging into the pc on fire and made the zappy sound very similar to that of an electric ladder as I cautiously powered on the computer again. As soon as I pulled the wall out, it instantly burned Probably not the worst thing that could have happened. There is no indication if it damaged the rest of the system. My next step was to investigate further. During the power outage, the PSU melted the cables! The lesson is Whenever possible, use only the super thick power cord that comes with the power supply. Those small power cables that you have lying around aren't capable of handling this.

Performer of outstanding quality
5/5

Since I was an EVGA user with a power supply that did not last more than 3 months, I have purchased this Corsair PSU in October 2018 and have not encountered a lot of the time the fan in the unit is turned off (Gold cert means more efficiency so less heat is given off) as well as being quiet even when the fan is cranked. It is basically an outstanding performance.

You did pretty well
3/5

I think it's a good PSU, although it's not perfect. Worked for me. It is quiet. There were no major problems with the The only reason I gave it three stars is that I had two concerns. I. A. 1. It is not possible to connect an 8 to 6+2 single Pcie. comes with a pair of dual pcie cables that connect 8 to 6+2. Currently, there are two 6+2 connectors under my GPU that are unused. * * 2. There is very little bending at the ends of the cables. At the end of these cables is a piece of heat shrink that is (probably too) large, which makes them difficult to handle. The screens are angled so much that they almost touch the window instead of curving under the GPU. Almost 90 degree bend is required to get the 24 pin cable to fit through the cable management slot since it sticks straight out, almost 90 degree bend to get the cable off the motherboard. In the near future, I will be ordering cables that will be individually sleeved. The PSU looks like a very good value for the price, aside from the cables.
