Make sure that mSATA is turned on. So far, the adapter has served me well. br>When I first connected the adapter, nothing happened, neither in Windows nor in BIOS. Well, stupid me, all I had to do was change the Mini PCIE switch in BIOS from "Mini PCIE" to "mSATA. " After that, it worked like a charm; I haven't tried to boot it yet, but I have no reason to doubt it. br>A Crucial BX500 240GB SSD was used in this test: 560MBs/511MBs read/write. br>It's worth noting that the EVGA BIOS still shows PCIE lanes as 1x16 (for GPU), indicating that the motherboard slot is acting as a single mSATA device rather than splitting PCIE channels. Also, not all motherboards have the ability to use the Mini PCIE slot as an mSATA port, but at $6 a pop, it's a bargain. br>The correct setting can be found under Advanced in the EVGA BIOS. Set Mini PCIE Switch to mSATA in Onboard Device Control, and then enable mSATA/Mini PCIE.
