This is the exact motherboard I have, and the Ryzen 5 3600 runs flawlessly on it. To make it work, you'll need to update the firmware on your motherboard, which will require a 1st or 2nd generation Ryzen CPU. Also, before updating the firmware, make sure you have the most recent AMD chipset drivers installed. br>So you're going to do it this way. br>1) Go to AMD's website and download and install the most recent AMD chipset driver (this chipset driver is compatible with all AMD Ryzen CPU generations). 2) Download the most recent firmware from ASUS' website. Install the firmware in your motherboard while using a Gen 1 or Gen 2 Ryzen CPU.br>3) Now you can use your Ryzen 3rd gen (Zen 2) processor.

I upgraded from a 1500x and what a difference this thing makes. It's on par with the 2700x, and it won't surprise me if it's even better when the motherboard manufacturer releases better drivers in the future.

Excellent processor that is compatible with the MSI B450 motherboard

The R5 3600 was recognized after flashing the BIOS on my MSI B450 Gaming Plus, and I was able to boot straight into Windows. Changing from an Intel i5-based processor to an Intel i7-based processor With the 7600k, I have three times the number of threads to work with and almost no difference in IPC, all while consuming less than ten times the amount of power. I'm going to use it in my virtualization server to create an 8-thread gaming virtual machine and use the remaining four for networking. Overall, this is a fantastic chip!.

For $200, it's quite quick

The results were quite good after upgrading from a 1500x. Precision Boost Overdrive is far superior to my 1500x in terms of performance and stability. Even with my RX 480, it tends to stay in the 60 frame per second range when gaming (due to the fact that I am limited to a 60 Hz monitor without freesync). br>br>Installation is simple if your B350/450 or X370/470 board has been updated; just remember to completely reset your bios before inserting the CPU.

Without a doubt, the best gaming CPU under $200

The CPU and heat sink are a fantastic match. It's paired with a B450 Tomahawk and a 2070 Super (before swapping cards, make sure the BIOS is flashed). On World of Warcraft and Overwatch, it runs smoothly with no lag at Ultra settings. As I peak around 4, I'd like to beat the advertised boost time. 125 GHz, but I heard there is now a fix for it. Nonetheless, I don't require the fourth. 2 is enough for me. Look no further if you want a CPU that is somewhat future-proof at a reasonable price. AIO Corsair H100i Pro Liquid Cooler was used in place of the Wraith Spire.

This processor is incredible, and despite the fact that I'm running it on a msi b350 mbo, it's a beast; it's my ideal price-performance combination. The majority of esports are played at 144 hz, and Ryzen 5 3600 Rx 580 (Gb) is used. It appeals to me.
