This chip is a beast, and I was able to get my hands on one from an 'AMD authorized reseller. ' It arrived in one day, despite the fact that it was expected to take three. At this price point, this thing blows everything else out of the water. In gaming, it's comparable to the Intel 9700k for $70 less, and in productivity and multitasking, it's better than the $489 i9 9900k. It's my first time purchasing an AMD chip, but with their recent innovations, it's difficult to justify purchasing an Intel chip.
TL; For all-around workloads and gaming, this is an excellent and stable processor. It still has a decent stock boost clock of around 4. Without the extra $$$, a 2GHz processor with a good cooler is comparable to the 3800x. Be cautious when purchasing a motherboard, as updating the bios on x470 and lower boards to support AMD's third generation processors can be difficult. According to other reviewers, the 2 GHz all core stable boost clock is similar to the 3800x, but the 3800x has a slightly higher single core sporadic burst, which is probably not worth the extra $70 for the minor performance difference. I'm the proud owner of a Phanteks PH-XXXXXXXXXXXX TC14PE (nh-) is an abbreviation for TC14PE (nh The 3700x stays at 85c and 4070MHz on average during a 30-minute Aida 64 stress test (picture). This processor is paired with a 570x Aorus elite so I wouldn't have to go through the trouble of swapping out CPUs on a b450 or x470 board to update the bios (plus I saved $70 over the 3800x). Some of those boards have quick flash capabilities, but if they don't, installing an old 2nd or 1st gen processor, updating it, then reinstalling the new processor and making sure it works is time consuming and a bit painful. A bunch of Ryzen 3xxx out of the box compatible B450 boards have also been announced as of 5/20/19, but no one knows when they will be released. br>br>I completed a motherboard. My system had a lag-filled Windows experience after the CPU swap, so I had to reinstall Windows to get it to work properly (your results may vary). It has been buttery smooth since the reinstallation.
Lisa Su, please accept my heartfelt gratitude. In RandomX, I'm getting a hashrate of 12000. br>That's ten times what my Intel 6700k has.
I'm relieved to see that it's finally available at MSRP. The 3700x was purchased to replace a 6700k system that had failed. The motherboard for the ASUS GENE VIII was defective. So it was time for a refresh and a return to AMD. The AMD FX-series was the most recent AMD component I had. In the year 2012, there were 8350 people. The 3700x appears to be in good working order, with Cinebench 15 scores ranging from 850 to 2145, so there's that. br>br>Creative+ paraphrase: 30th of July, 2019br>I'm deducting two stars. It's as if it doesn't know how to clock itself down (even with AMD balanced profile and latest Win 10 1903). Coming from an fx 8120 (with a88 chipset), I can say this thing is huuUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU.
8ghz. There's no need to overclock because it boosts itself to the maximum extent possible. On a Gigabyte AX-80, I got 4250mhz all core on BF V. 370 Gaming K5 with BIOS upgrade (while the new board is on its way). With a Corsair H100i v2, the maximum temperature under full load was 80°C, with temperatures typically hovering around 65°C in demanding games. In-game FPS increased by about 30 percent, allowing my 2070 to consistently hit 144 frames per second with no lag.
I never imagined I'd say it, but after seeing the Zen chips in action, I'm a firm believer in AMD and what they're capable of. On one hand, this CPU is working on Star Citizen, while on the other, it is unzipping files and keeping up with everything else. Not only does it run fairly well, but it also maintains a consistent temperature, with temperatures averaging around 65°C under full load. Even with the stock Wraith Prism cooler, the temperature reaches 70°C. br>br>I'm excited to put this chip through its paces with a water cooler and a slight overclock to get it into high gear. gear. Overall, I can't say I'm dissatisfied with my experience. It's a budget-friendly processor that can handle almost any task with ease while still leaving room for more. Don't worry about paying "premium" prices for "top of the line" and "state of the art" CPUs when you can get everything you want for less and with more here!.
This CPU is incredible! I purchased it from an authorized AMD reseller and have had no problems with it. It performs exceptionally well in games and benchmarks. It comes highly recommended!.
