Recently, I built a PC using an ASUS TUFF B450-based motherboard My Asus gaming motherboard worked with no BIOS update right out of the box, and everything worked fine. As well as the Ryzen 5 2600 Processor, I used the Intel Core i5-8600K CPU.
Even though I do not have an exact copy of this processor, I have installed similar heat sinks on 3 Ryzen processors and they all came with generously applied thermal paste (looks like Arctic Silver). Unlike crappy thermal pads almost made of rubber, this one is actually very good. In most cases, you won't have to replace it unless you did something ridiculous.
A AMD x370 is what you want. Intel z370 is what you want
The stock coolers should only be used with stock settings, according to my opinion. It's a good idea to spend a little on a better cooler if you intend to overclock your PC. Having said that, if I were to overclock the 2600 I would obtain a CoolerMaster 212 for $30 bucks.

It was bound to be better than I had imagined. Despite that, I did not know how much better I would feel! A m I built around it acts as a mechanism. An excellent value for the money. A FX6300 processor was upgraded to this one. When it comes to photography, I use Lightroom primarily and play World of Warcraft a lot. It has taken me a while to catch up with performance and I have now done so. I have solid framerates in games and a greatly reduced lag in photo processing for the first time ever since getting the upgrade. It is one of the best coolers I have ever seen. Quite possibly the quietest CPU fan I've ever owned, and the processor itself stays surprisingly cool (between 40 and 50 degrees C). There was just one point of frustration, which was the inability (random, long system freezes) that I experienced that took me quite a while to diagnose, thinking that it had something to do with memory compatibility at first. In the end, there was an issue with the Ryzen power plan that was installed as part of Windows 10. The performance plan was changed to the regular one and since then it has been rock solid. It is my hope to help keep someone else from having to deal with the same.

Habits are hard to break. It is a delight to watch 1080p HEVC videos with no lag without the usual lags, and this is yet another reason why Ryzen 5 2600 is not on par yet. YouTube videos in 4K can also be viewed without any difficulties. The OC'd to 3 was made. I can run 8 GHz at 1 GHz with no problem. It doesn't surpass 41 degrees C on the stock cooler when under load at 29 volts. The decision I made to purchase this processor could not have been better.
After updating the BIOS three times, it seems to run as well as a 1600x for the same price, with better performance, all cores working together to handle the load, and most stuttering issues I had with my old CPU are gone!.
