Until recently, Hauppauge was one of my favorite places to go
3/5

Back in the days of 720P and 1080P pass-through, I was using a PVR 2, but moved to another USB-powered external device when I switched to a 4K pass-through device for a 4K The HD PVR PR0 60 sat on the market for quite some time before I decided to take it for a spin. In general, there is a sense of disappointment, especially when a function does not work. You will be able to do the following It is - This method passes through 4k to the TV/monitor, even though That's at least the impression I get from my Xbox One X. The following *br The Hauppauge Capture software will be able to produce good quality 1080P output in the TS format. The following *br In some cases, OBS Studio can recognize an old device and may produce a good MP4 output. This software will not perform the following tasks (at least not The following *br With Hauppauge Capture, you can produce good MP4 output. There are a lot of jittery lines in the output, making it completely The following *br If I plug a headset cable into the headset jack and a controller cable into the controller jack, headset audio will be played. As far as I am concerned, I used the right It is very unlikely that the headset microphone will work given my low level of confidence. The following *br This device will not update its It was impossible for me to follow the instructions that appeared incomplete. After downloading and unzipping the zipped folder, I opened the bin file inside. In spite of the fact that the online instructions said the zipped folder contained the firmware file and instructions, the only one provided was the firmware file. Lack of detail in that regard. I set the unit to PC and card because it did not state which to choose. PC seems to be the choice since it immediately connects to the system after connecting to the card. As soon as the SD card was inserted, the device did not recognize it most of the time and when it did, it did not make an attempt to update the firmware but went to the ready to record status instead. I would like to add another note. There are some 4K USB devices from competitors that have the ability to update firmware directly from the PC. Using an SD card is so last generation and in my case does not work at all. I would like to add one more thing In addition, the fact that OBS Studio successfully captures and records directly to MP4 format indicates to me that the MP4 format issue with this product has more to do with Capture software than a device issue. There must be a fix for that. In addition, the USB C to A cable has a length of one meter, which I will not be able to use A set-up with an XBOX, a monitor (HDR TV), and a laptop set up 4 feet away, although the laptop is also used for other activities. Because of a short cable, you don't want to keep unplugging and plugging in the device repeatedly. There is a 2 metre power cable in competitors' products. That's fine with me - I My bottom line is if I wish to stream and record in MP4 format, I can use OBS Studio setup with an external microphone (a second mic) for me and request that my party members link their party chat to the stream (a function of Xbox Live). The HD PVR 60 Pro is usable, but the audio plug in function does not work, the firmware update process is either not documented correctly, or not complete, or does not work, and the software cannot directly output to MP4 format, and that short cable is just another problem. It's not impossible for me to solve All software and firmware updates except for firmware updates As of right now, however, I am unable to recommend the product. Hopefully if the identified issues are corrected I may change my mind, but as of now I am very disappointed in the company.

The recording is not smooth at 60Hz
3/5

There is choppy movement in the frames. The number of times per second is several. Playing vintage games on a smooth and silky surface, like Super Mario Detector C, that scroll one pixel per frame, for a truly smooth result. The old HD PVR 60 records and plays back videos flawlessly, both on a PC and YouTube. It does not have this feature with the HD PVR Pro 60. I played the same game on the same PC, posted the same video on YouTube, watched the same movie (MP4), and played the same frame rate. Several choppy frames per second can be seen in the HD PVR Pro 60. All frames can be viewed if they are reconstructed frame by frame. There is no difference between increasing the bit rate and changing the movie format. Why does the new Pro 60 not work, yet the old 60 still does? This product doesn't do what it should, and it has been around for a while. There is no problem with old retro games running at 60 frames per second. Almost all action games and racing games are smooth and run at 60 frames per second. There is a lot of choppiness in the output of this device. I'm still trying more settings and will report back if I am able to get the product to work as advertised. appears to be the same as the Pro The present-day frequency is 92Hz, and the old frequency is 60Hz. MP4 recordings are recorded at 0Hz, for the same file. *) Minor inconveniences There is no action to be taken when the green light is on. If the green indicator flashes, it means the recording has taken place. Compared to the old model, the old model just changes color, which is easier to see and recognize, and the flash does not need to be waited for. We should revert to the perfect design if you would please. I wouldn't suggest flashing as it isn't easy to read and is not understandable. - It is not distinctive. - The Despite its lack of ability to record, it was incredibly easy to set up, and the one click button is an awesome feature. It is already possible to do everything that is mentioned above with the old HD PVR 60.

The capture card I have for my PS4 works wonderfully
5/5

The product was excellent. My only complaint was the need to purchase a 6 foot extension separately. The USB port At Target, you can purchase a C to USB cable. Even though the cable that came with the HD PVR Pro 60 was long enough to connect to my router, the cord was way too short to even reach my PC to record in stand-alone mode. To move all the stuff around just for that is extremely inconvenient. In the images you can see that I prefer recording from my PC via Hauppauge Capture because, as you can see, I have a bit more control over adjusting the video quality and video format, as well as an array of resolution options available. Even so, I've been a fan of Hauppauge for awhile now, and I've been meaning to upgrade to capturing 60fps footage of PS4 games for quite some time now. **EDIT** *This is the result after playing the Setting up the Video Proc Amp in H took a lot of trial and error. For Capture, I found that setting ALL four knobs to 50 -- Brightness, Contrast, Saturation, and Hue -- helped me eliminate the watered-down look A down and grey shade appears in the videos when recording directly to the SD card. I use the default setting (B=59, C=42, S=50, H=50) for recording to the PC only. The same amount of learning is happening to me as to everyone else. It may not work for other games, but hopefully this helps. I'm posting these for Street Fighter V, but they may not work for other games.

This is a great gift for gamers
3/5

Apparently, the maker of the product claims the product is perfect for gamers who want to record their activities. Unfortunately, I wasn't the one in question. The team I follow (Kentucky) has basketball games that I would like to record (legally). As a result, the product ran straight into HDCP protections and the signal could not be transmitted. It would be great if I could go back to my old three The only way to watch the content is via cable, although few television sets today offer such outputs. Luckily, I already have a Hauppauge for that purpose. I would say that this device did not work for me An introductory text.

You can turn a GoPro 3B and a Canon Vixma into webcams with a single plug and play
5/5

In the COVID program, you can work remotely from home On the day of the pandemic of 19 there were no webcams available. It took 3 months to get all of them. I bought this HAUPPAUGE HD PVR Pro 60 HD and it works great. It's really easy to set up and I can use my cameras As for my Happuage TV Tuner Card, I have been using it for about 9 years now and it works well. I was able to get an answer quickly to my question from tech support.

The Dish Hopper works very well if it is properly hooked up
5/5

The software is being used to archive recordings from my hopper (I have issues with external hard drives and do not want to lose recordings in the future). I am very impressed with the quality of the picture and audio and the efficiency of the capture software. In terms of HDCP compliance, the PRO 60 complies with the requirements. With a HDMI splitter with HDCP support, you can use Up to 2 displays simultaneously. Among these 3 are the option to download It is wise not to do so if doing so would be in violation of copyright laws.
