I've had this machine for about three years and have had enough experience with it to say that it is as simple to operate as the manufacturer claims and has proven to be reliable thus far. I've used it to make copies of home-made DVDs and CDs and have never had a problem with it, though I must say that I rarely make more than two copies at a time. Before I bought the machine, I did a lot of research and as an older non-techie, I was skeptical. I was pleased with the ease of use as a technical gentleman. During the 2020 pandemic, I was able to send comforting and entertaining DVDs/C to friends and family, which was extremely useful.
It appeals to me.
And no one bothers to fix them! After two years, I decided to stop working. (or a smaller number - I hadn't used it in a long time) I didn't use it very often. There's no way it's "wearing out. I carefully read the reviews and concluded that this was the best option. I couldn't get it to burn a single dvd because I kept getting an error message about the source disc. I've never had this issue with any other unit.
This is extremely simple to use. Turn on the computer, place the master disc in the drive, and then place one of the discs into the drive. 3 blank discs and a push of the enter key After a few minutes, the trays will open and you will be done. One hiccup occurred when the readout indicated that there was insufficient space on the discs. I switched to different discs and everything worked fine. It's not unusual for three people to have discs. I've used it six times now and every time it makes three perfect copies; I have over 30 VHS tapes to convert to DVD and will update this review if I run into any issues.
The first use for a primary school slide show was enough to pay for itself. Simply place the discs in the drive and start driving. I had 20 copies made in about 30 minutes.
This was a Christmas present for my wife because she always wants to send copies of our home movies, etc. to our kids, as well as duplicate our DVD/CD collections and use them instead of the originals. This duplicator is both quick and precise. It has relieved some of my stress because it is so simple to use that I no longer need to make multiple copies from my computer. I hand over the master to her. and she only needs to press one button to be on her way.
