Questions & Answers

Is it possible to burn dual layer (8.) discs with this duplicator? Disks with a capacity of five gigabytes (GB)?

Todd, it's supposed to be capable of burning dual layer disks. BUT, having used a duplicator similar to this for several years, I can tell you that if you're trying to duplicate a custom dual layer video, you might have trouble. When you burn a custom video (for example, a two-hour wedding video), your computer will automatically switch to the second layer to burn it. Purchased DVDs do the same thing, usually when a scene change occurs. However, because these DVDs are mass-produced, the switchover point is never an issue because it is always the same. Because the duplicator always slightly compresses the video, the switch over point on a dual layer duplicator isn't recorded in the same place. Because it loses contact with the data that keeps the laser tracking the video during playback, this can result in "skipping" of the video. Essentially, as the duplicator selects a different spot to switch over to in the process, the original "switch over spot" will be recorded as a "blip." I'm not sure if technology has advanced since I last used a duplicator. I haven't had a chance to test it yet. However, I believe the issue is one that you should think about. If you're simply duplicating data rather than a dual-layer video, you shouldn't have any problems.

Does the unit come with five actual burners? I know it can hold up to five, but does it come with five when you order it?

By far, this has been a fantastic burner right out of the box. All I had to do was insert my master disk and load blanks into the remaining five drives, for a total of six drives, one for the master and the others for copies. I've burned over 2000 DVDs and have never had a problem.

Is it able to burn CDs? or are you talking about DVDs only?

It can burn CDs as well as DVDs. Blueray is not one of them.

Is it possible to copy music and speech CDs with this machine?

It is capable of duplicating CDs and DVDs. This is a fantastic device. From weddings to graduations, my wife and her friends have probably made over 200 copies of family recordings. It's incredibly easy to do and takes only a few minutes.

What are you willing to pay for your time? This will assist you in saving even more TIME! br>br>EVERY SINGLE PENNY IS WORTH IT! br>br>The main reason I say this is because of how much time I saved by buying it
5/5

It would take about 10 minutes for me to copy a DVD on my computer. And that was only burning them one at a time; a job requiring 50 DVDs would take 500 minutes, or 8 hours and 20 minutes to complete. That's a lot of work in a single day! br>br>In my experience, this device burns seven DVDs in under seven minutes! The same 50 DVD order that took an hour before now only takes an hour now! That's a seven-hour time savings! This caught me off guard. It now allows me to use the rest of the day to generate leads, hold meetings, or simply TAKE THE DAY OFF! br>br>I can't say enough about how great this is!.

IT WAS AT FIRST BEAUTIFUL WITH ALL THE DOORS OPEN FOR COPYING, SO I PRESSED ENT
5/5

MY FIRST ONE WAS BEAUTIFUL AT FIRST WITH ALL THE DOORS OPEN TO COPY I PRESSED ENT ALL THE DOORS CLOSED, IT WAS VERY SIMPLE. THEN IT SAID 5/PASS 0/FAILED, BUT WHEN I LOOKED AT THE BOTTOM OF MY RECORDED RW DISC, THERE WEREN'T ANY LINES INDICATING SOMETHING WAS RECORDED (MEMOREX DVD BLANKS), SO I PUT IT IN THE PLAYER, BUT IT SAID ERROR PLEASE EJECT. THE NEXT DISC I PLACED IN PLAYED 1 MINUTE OF VIDEO AND THEN RETURNED TO THE START. SMH, SO THESE WERE THE BLANKS I HAD BEFORE THE VERBATIM ARRIVED. AFTER READING THE INSTRUCTIONS AND SMDHING. I GOT THE R VERBATIM DISK AND WAS WORRIED BECAUSE YOU CAN'T RECORD OVER THEM LIKE YOU CAN WITH AN RW. I ONLY PUT IN ONE AND IT POPPED OUT QUICKLY, SO I LOOKED AT THE OTHER SIDE AND IT SHOWED LINES, THEN I PUT IT IN THE PLAYER AND IT WAS AMAZING THE MOVIE WAS SO BEAUTIFUL AND EXCELLENT QUALITY, AND IT WAS ON AFTER TRYING ANOTHER SLOT DRAWER WITH A DIFFERENT MOVIE. GET THE RIGHT DISC FOR YOUR GREAT MACHINE. THANK YOU SO MUCH!.

I'm still deciding on this one
3/5

It can be erratic. This was delivered on time and in good condition when I purchased it. The first two times I copied DVDs (a total of 20 discs), everything went smoothly. THEN it began to skip over some drives. The source drive had failed. Then it wouldn t complete a burn 1% thru, just enough to waste 10 DVDs twice! I got tech support who walked me through opening the unit and re-installing it! They said it was a common problem in shipping because the power cord for the source drive was not properly seated. It never "clicked" into place, so I'm afraid it could happen again at any time, but so far everything has worked out well. After a few more uses, I'll provide an update. It's a great deal if it keeps working.

Do not be hesitant
5/5

If you're even considering one of these, it'll be worth the time you'll save. My boss recently assigned me the task of shipping disks across the country overnight. I was imaging individual disks manually with my laptop and then using a USB-connected external disk burner. The method was at best dreadful, and it took so much time away from my main job that I paid for it myself. br>br>I went from making disks for an hour to making 5 disks every 5 minutes in an instant. My productivity increased by 2091%. br>br>There are a number of hidden settings that can greatly enhance the duplicator's capabilities, but to get it up and running, simply turn it on, insert the source disk into bay 1, then the blank disks into the remaining bays, and close the trays. That is all there is to it. That was all I needed, but I've since discovered that I can connect a hard disk to store images, allowing me to speed up the cloning process. If I ever have a need for it, I'll give it a shot, but for now, it's working perfectly.

This Bestduplicator is a Powerhouse Duplicator that Produces Reliable M-File Duplication
5/5

Discs. I'm making duplicates with my Bestduplicator BD-XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX SMG- 3T (1–3) with a Bestduplicator BD-XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX SMG- In 2015, I purchased a 7T (1–7). The older (1x7) is incapable of performing M-type operations. DISCs, but it has never let me down. Bestduplicator is a great brand name. These are the best, and I'm glad I switched from Produplicator models that were less reliable and problematic. Here's how I combine them: br>br> I make a DVD-based presentation. R using a 4X burn on my PC. After that, I employ my BD- SMG- 3T (1–3) to make two M-shaped M-shaped M-shaped M-shaped M-shaped M-shaped M-shaped Duplication masters for DISC. After that, I combine the two and use the M-80 to make batches of 10 copies at a time. DISC masters are people who know how to use the DISC system to their Alternatively, depending on what I need, I can do shorter runs with either machine. I'm in ecstasy right now.

This is an outstanding piece of equipment
4/5

For one, I only gave it four stars. This is an outstanding piece of equipment. For one reason, I only gave it four stars: The read drive is extremely sensitive, and any smudge or minor surface blemish will result in a "Warning!" message. The blank will become useless due to a "Bad Master Disk" error. I believe you can instruct the machine to write to an internal memory source (as described in the documentation), and the blank will not be written to until the read is complete. I haven't had the opportunity to investigate this further. After typing that, the device quickly and accurately copies disks. I've been making double-layer DVD copies (8. It's been almost non-stop (5 Gigs) since it arrived. Stop (every waking hour, even at work, LOL) and there isn't a single flaw three days later except for The price is excellent (thank you, Amazon), and this is not a "cheap" unit. It's a great deal on a high-quality unit.

Copier is fantastic! As the videographer for my wife's Variety Club, I'm responsible for creating a DVD of each year's events, as well as a 20-minute highlight reel
5/5

The DVD will be distributed in 30 copies. In addition, during the spring season, there is a lot of work that needs to be done. I have to make 30 new dances out of the new ones. Individual dancers will receive 50 DVDs to use at home to practice. All of this copying used to be a major pain in the neck. I can copy 5 copies of DVDs or CDs at once with this duplicator, and the copying is extremely fast; it has worked flawlessly for me since day one. This is an excellent product that is well worth the money.

Some of the burners were not functioning properly
3/5

This was delivered to me, and it appeared to be in good working order. Then I noticed that two of the burners were not functioning properly. This is inconvenient because I gave out dvd copies of a slideshow I created at work. I didn't realize this burner wasn't making all the copies, so some people received BLANK DISCS! After e- After contacting the company, they were courteous and stated that the "bad" burners would be replaced. After messing around with this unit, I was able to get four of the burners to work, with the fifth remaining unresponsive. I requested one burner from the company and was informed that I would have to return the "bad" burner! br>Well, I don't know how to disassemble this thing, and I don't have time to send out burners for a product that should have worked correctly the first time I used it. I would never purchase another of this brand, and I pity those who were left with a blank disc. I gave it three stars because the copies it DID make turned out well.
