I've been using this for years. It has been over a year since I made a switch. This microphone is for purposes of communication. Dual monitors need to be switched on other switches) I have a work laptop that I use during the day and my personal laptop during the evening.

It works well except for one small issue. Connect and turn on the A side computer before switching to the B side computer. Otherwise, you won't be able to access the B side computer.

It is a pain to have to plug in a bunch of different peripherals every time. This solution has been very helpful! The devices enable me to easily switch between computers and all the peripherals remain connected allowing me to switch quickly and easily between them. The monitor on my Macbook has an audio out that accepts audio from the DP. It switches audio from the Macbook as well as from the DP. There is also EDID on all channels simultaneously, so switching between inputs can be smooth. So this was just what I was looking for. Unfortunately the unit does not work very well, but maybe I just got a dud one.
