The speaker isn't the source of the problem. This is what I use to control the volume on my iPod.
It should have a headphone jack if it has one. This worked with my phone and iPod in that port.

She communicates with me via an app that reads out loud what she types. This speaker is the clearest of the two I bought, and she's dropped it at least a dozen times and it still works perfectly.

The sound quality is satisfactory. I like how compact the speaker is, and how easy it is to connect it to an iPad, laptop, or even a phone without the use of any additional cords. (A charging cord is included, but any micro-USB cable will suffice. ) It will also work with a USB/Android cable. )br>A power button is located on the bottom of the speaker and can be used to turn it on or off. br>If I were designing it, I would have preferred rocker buttons on the speaker to adjust the volume (you must adjust volume on the device to which it is connected). I'd also do away with the power button, preferring instead for it to automatically turn on when connected to a device and turn off when disconnected. It should, at the very least, turn off when not in use, similar to how bluetooth earphones do. I had forgotten to turn them off, and they were still on when I checked them the next day.
This little speaker is loud and works great! I'm not sure how long the battery lasts, but it hasn't needed a charge yet after several uses. I don't know how durable it is yet, but I've had it for a few months and it's held up well and does exactly what I need it to do. So far, everything has gone well!.
Charge it, plug it in, turn it on, and start listening to music. This small device does not vibrate the walls like a boombox, but it does produce enough volume to hear the music in a reasonable amount of space. The mini speaker is easily carried in your pocket or purse due to its small size. It certainly fulfills the purpose for which I bought it, and it's also cute. looking.
The 25th of August, 2020 I've only recently received this and put it through its paces. It appears that the volume on my phone and tablet is a little low. As a result, I determined that an external speaker might be beneficial. After reading the reviews, I decided to buy two of them. The sound quality of this speaker is superior to that of the phone or tablet's built-in speaker. However, it is not what it is advertised to be or what the reviews claim it to be. There won't be a lot of sound. It's a little louder, but it's also a small unit (no base sound). It's similar to caring for a golf ball with the tee protruding from the side, and it plugs into a 3. You don't need to hold a separate device or keep it on the table next to you because your device has a 5mm female port. It takes on the shape of a ridged extension of your device.
