My vehicle is a 2008 Avalon. Although the original speaker and bracket were one piece, I was able to remove the old speaker from the bracket using an angle grinder. Just remember to leave enough metal to screw the speaker back in place (speaker to bracket and screwing to the rear dash). It sounds great, but it requires removing the rear seat and rear dash. I'm not a professional, so it took me three hours to complete. The bass is tight and doesn't rattle at all.
It will fit in terms of size, but the factory screw setting and screw holes on this speaker do not align as I expected, so you'll have to drill new holes.
Although it fits in the hole, it is not flush. It protrudes from the body by about 3/4 to 1 inch. Yukon XL in 2002
You should put 10 of the rms rated power at least of the rms rated power at least of the rms rated power at It'd be 20 watts rms in this case.

Subwoofer is fantastic.
The factory JBL sub woofer that came with my 2006 Toyota Avalon XLS sound system was replaced with this. There is no real substitute unless you want to spend a lot of money on a sub woofer that isn't very good. This is as close to a factory sub as you can get. It's a free-air Sub woofer, which isn't going to be a booming sub in the first place. You're supposed to make your own bracket, but that won't happen unless you pay a professional a lot of money. I made use of Industrial E- 6000 rubber glue, which is extremely strong and absorbs vibrations from mounting it to the back deck, and sound suppression tape, which both provide an airtight seal and absorb vibration. It sounds good, but it's not a boomer sub that will knock your fillings out.
br>However, it wasn't supposed to be! The mounting depth for the JBL was not included in the JBL's website description. The OEM sub (made by Pioneer, it turns out) has a mounting depth of only three inches. 125" (3- 1/8"). It was impossible to fit it into the OEM sub enclosure in the 'Burban's left rear. I had to go back to the drawing board because there were only a few subs that fit the mounting depth, so I chose the MB Quart DS1-A. The 204 Discus Shallow Mount Subwoofer is a very affordable subwoofer. When it arrives and I've installed and listened to it, I'll write a review for it. Cheers!.
To begin with, the sound is fantastic for an 8" woofer! It's wired into an Alpine mono amp that's been installed in the original small (0. In a '12 Odyssey, there was a sealed box (30 ft3). Much more efficient than the Rockford Fosgate 8" that was previously installed. The only drawback is that JBL speakers have a smaller diameter than other brands (at least, all of the JBLs I've ever owned have). It was 25" shorter than the standard 8", and it didn't completely cover the hole. To make it fit, I created an adapter out of 1/2" MDF.
It's fantastic if you want a great sound without having to spend a lot of money.
The sub is actually quite good for the price, and I've got it hooked up to a JBL GTX500, which pushes the RMS range well beyond the recommended range. It can get a little low, but it's still a lot of fun. The materials used appear to be of excellent quality. My only criticism is that when I play bass, it tends to bottom out slightly. Hiphop music is a good example of heavy music. Aside from that, it handles it admirably and completes the task at hand. This is the way to go if you want a cheap, clean, and basic bass.
Because the OEM speaker was such a pain to remove, I ended up making a pass through for the wiring to connect to the factory amp and mounting this guy in a sub box, but other than that it was as simple as unplugging the old speaker and plugging the new one in. JBL is known for its high quality, and this is no exception:.
This sub was used to replace a subwoofer in my home theater that had started to sound bad. . . . this one fit perfectly into the existing box, no problems, and it appears that nothing has changed. For the first few days, I was concerned because it didn't appear to be working properly. …. I suppose it was just the "breaking in" period. It now sounds a million times better than it did with the original speaker. There are no waffling or distortion in the lows, and the bass is rock solid. I'm extremely happy.
