This speaker is fantastic. I can't believe how clear and loud this speaker is; I have two other speakers that don't even come close. I strongly advise you to do so. Extremely long lasting.
A standard headphone jack is compatible with it. So, yes, it will work if you can use headphones with your kindle.
You'll need an earphone jack to use this device. It won't work unless you do so. I would recommend investing in a bluetooth device.
Yes, it comes with a charging cable:

When it works, it's quite good. Certainly louder than my laptop's integrated speakers. The problem is that when I plug the speaker into the laptop, it usually doesn't work unless I twist, turn, pull it out, push it back in, and jiggle it. br>It's as if the speaker jack is too loose. It becomes quite vexing!.
My (very) old iPOD and a wired headset are the only ways I can listen to my favorite playlist during my daily workouts. But I was desperate to get rid of that headset, and this speaker was the ideal solution! It worked right away after I unpacked it and plugged it in. Now I have these two small connected devices that fit in the elliptical's tray, as well as the music I need to keep me going. What a wonderful discovery!.
I bought this after my car's radio went out, so I could listen to podcasts on my phone while driving. At maximum volume, the sound becomes a little tinny, but it is loud enough to drown out the noises of my Jeep on the highway. My only gripe is that the battery life is poor, and if it is not plugged in, it will shut down periodically. I just keep it plugged in all the time because I only use it in my car, and it meets my needs perfectly.
This small speaker is powerful enough to use on a laptop, tablet, or phone; in my case, I bought it for my old laptop's sound system, which is severely lacking, and it's incredibly easy to listen to videos at a much higher volume, to the point where I shouldn't put it on the highest setting because the volume is already high enough for the purpose. I strongly advise you to try it. It's small, attractive, and comes with a charging cable as well as a small manual in Chinese and English. I'm overjoyed because I can now listen to my videos at a suitable volume without the use of an audio device, which was previously causing damage to my ears.
Purchases should be avoided. This is a camping speaker that I purchased. I didn't think I needed to spend a lot of money because I wasn't planning on listening to music loudly. You get what you pay for, as they say. My iPad's small stem snapped off! So, until I can get it out of there, I'm completely deafeningly silent. I'm wearing headphones, it thinks! I'm annoyed because I have a perfectly good iPad that now has no sound! It's not something you should buy. For no reason at all. Spend the money to prevent your device from being ruined.
Weekly piano lessons via Zoom are something I do. Occasionally, I stay at a location with a digital keyboard that can only be used with GarageBand. br>br>This little gizmo allows me to play the sound externally via my Macbook laptop, while my music tutor can hear it via Zoom from a few feet away on my iPhone. Now I'm able to take my lessons with me wherever I go! The speaker's small size makes it ideal for travel. br>br>It isn't going to win any audiophile awards, but it is perfect for my needs.
It simply STOOD UP AND STOOD UP AND STANDED UP It worked great for the first three weeks, then not so much after that, and now it will only play for two minutes before shutting down. It lasted until the time limit on returns expired. DO NOT BUY I've had two others that lasted years, but this one only lasted a few (very few) weeks.
The only thing I don't like about it is that it doesn't stay in place. It rotates, which causes the volume to be interrupted from time to time.
