Questions & Answers

The new version is better than the old one, what makes it so?

So far, I have not noticed the sound being louder than the last one. It has a little better bass. The ports are also According to my calculations, it should be If you buy it for 99, it's a good deal at only $4 more than the original, but if you buy it for 40, it's not so good. A copy of the original costs 29 dollars.

The power of this device is how many watts? How does the number of watts affect the ?

It has twice the wattage (2 x 6w instead of 2 x 3w) than the SoundCore 2. It is true. If you wanted to double the volume, you had to have ten times the power. To double the volume, you would need to use a pair of 30W speakers. There was no denying to my wife (who is neither an audiophile nor I) that the SoundCore 2 sounded better than the original. The difference is just not as pronounced as it might seem, and don't expect double the volume either. Does it really cost $10 more to get better service? In fact, yes. In my review, I talked about how it was refined to offer a better overall experience, but it's not just for the better sound.

Are you able to plug in directly to your phone using a cord?

The answer is yes, using either a male to male 3 or male to female You will need an aux cable or USB cable to connect to your computer The male to female ratio is An aux cable with a 5 mm connector, as your phone allows. It is possible that there may be a noticeable lag, making watching videos or playing games unsuitable. I experienced this, but I do not know if all speakers experience it. The most recent firmware (4/19/19) was used for this test

Can you tell me how good the sound quality is?

Sound is of very high My experience with it has been very positive.

Selected User Reviews For Anker Soundcore 2 Portable Bluetooth Speaker with 12W Stereo Sound, Bluetooth 5, Bassup, IPX7 Waterproof, 24-Hour Playtime, Wireless Stereo Pairing, Speaker for Home, Outdoors, Travel

Call answering features are advanced and loud, as well as good sound reproduction
5/5

The second Anker SoundCore 2 went on sale, I immediately purchased it so I could compare its features to those of other speakers. It's well known that Anker is a Product quality is known to this brand. It was high on my list of expectations. SoundCore 2 came in a box with a white and light blue background and black and light blue text on the outside. Inside the box was a speaker wrapped in velvety plastic and secured by cardboard all around except for the top portion. Among other things, the speaker came with the user guide, the "Happy/Not Happy" card, as well as an Anker-compatible cable Embedded in its own small box is a branded charging cable. There was professionalism in the packaging. SoundCore 2 and iPhone 7 Plus pairing and controls

Pairing the SoundCore 2 with the iPhone 7 Plus was easy. A few moments after turning on the speaker, a notification appeared on my phone saying "SoundCore 2". Following a few seconds of identifying the name by tapping it, I received a confirmation tone that paring had been successful. At the top of the speaker is the control panel. The power, for example, A number of buttons are available on the device - (minus), + (plus), and Bluetooth. To adjust the volume, press + and - on the arrow keys. An array of options can be selected from the play button Use this button, for instance, to pause or resume playback, to accept/reject/end calls and to put the current call on hold while you accept On one side of the speaker is a 3. 5 mm auxiliary connector and micro USB charging port. You can use the play button to switch from speaker to mobile device while on a call. Whenever I am considering speakers, the most important factor for me is the sound quality of the Despite the negative reviews, Anker's SoundCore 2 was a great product. Smooth vocals were delivered by a basso vocalist. It was pleasant to listen to the middle frequencies produced by a flute and a clarinet. The high frequencies produced by an acoustic guitar were very crisp and pleasing to the ears. There was, at times, a sound between a "punch" and a "boom" from a bass drum. Applying an equalizer app effected a small increase in the bass drum volume, but not quite as large as a boom. If you're looking for better reproduction of sound quality, this is an area where the speaker could stand to improve. There is a lot of noise coming from the SoundCore 2. I was easily able to fill a 20-canister system with this product at maximum volume The dimensions are 20 feet by 20 feet The garage is 30 feet long and has It was amazing how far Bluetooth could reach. Even with an obstruction between the speaker and my phone, the sound didn't lose quality until I was about 100 feet away, which is the widest Bluetooth range of any speaker I have tested. I was able to hear all phone calls. As well as being able to answer an incoming call simultaneously with another active call, the speaker can put an existing call on hold. As far as I know, other Bluetooth speakers are not equipped with this feature. With most speakers, but not the SoundCore 2, I have found that calling the last number dialed on the phone connected to the speaker falls under the list of features that are presented to me. Normaly, this would be accomplished by pressing the play button twice. However, this action is bound to skip to the next song instead. Being that this comes from an Anker product, it is strange.

Apart from being unable to ring the previous number, I was also surprised by not being able to access It seems that this functionality is not available unless I have missed this in the user guide. In addition to its voice control capabilities on iOS devices, the device supports voice control software such as Siri. The speaker I tested for this feature is the second I've tested with this It has excellent sound reproduction, excellent volume, and a comprehensive user guide in nine languages. It has an incredible Bluetooth range, and advanced features to answer calls via voice command (Siri with iOS). Despite the minor downsides mentioned in my review, the SoundCore 2 is an excellent choice for a Bluetooth speaker in the $46 (price at the time of review) range and is well worth the investment. The Meidong 2110 and the Meidong QQChocolate Medium are similar speakers I've tested in the past. However, these speakers are not as loud as the SoundCore 2. They are more accurate in terms of sound reproduction, but not as loud. It doesn't matter what you use the SoundCore 2 for if volume is more important. If sound quality reproduction is more important to you, you might want to check out In order to make sure that I reached as accurate a conclusion as possible, I needed to switch between all three speakers while writing this review.

Compared to Anker SoundCore 2, the SoundCore 2 is more compact
5/5

I’m posting a different type of review than most might be expecting, but I don’t have another unit or brand of this class to compare it to. Here is what I’ve found working with My recent purchase of the SoundCore was prompted by the fact that it had been listed among line-in/BT pleased with the build quality, the sound quality, and the functionality of this product. At the exact moment I was about to write this review, the devils that be at Amazon decided to make the SoundCore 2 one of my recommended products. In order to determine whether the additional few dollars it would cost to get the SC2 was worth it, I conducted some research. At first, I was planning to keep the SC and not return it as I didn't want to deal with repackaging it, but after a while I thought, let's see if anyone else has gone from the first to the second. Apart from reviews saying there isn't much difference in volume since it's just a little more loud, and it can be placed near water, I didn't see anything else that really piqued my interest. This is an obvious statement. Even so, adding the splash resistance and slightly better speakers for only a few bucks more definitely makes it a better choice! Therefore, I ordered SC2 from Amazon. Yesterday I received it and played around with both of them for most of I'll let you know my observations/opinions, but not stating the obvious two features the SC lacks or what is already on the manufacturers' or Amazon's product descriptions. Due to the extra "armor cladding," the SC2 is physically slightly larger but not dangerously so. This is due to the extra size of the "armor cladding. " It probably looked like a chubby kid who ate too many cakes. The buttons on the SC2 are larger and more pronounced than on the SC1. The grille mesh on the SC1 is slightly recessed into the speaker opening, which I prefer since it offers a bit more protection should the speaker grille strike a tiny grain of sand. After a few days I would get annoyed seeing the ding and Compared to the SC2, the SC2 grille sits more flush than my example (but not completely) so I am concerned that it may be more easily prone to dings. This SC1's bright LED is positioned in an obnoxious location directly above the power button. It screams at you like no other. *I love the RGB LEDs on the SC2! (think soft mood lighting) They are placed next to the buttons on the top. In spite of the SC1 being a lot louder, the SC2's output is noticeably louder at any given level. *The upper bass on the SC2 sounds louder and better than the lower bass on the In my gym payload, I randomly selected the following songs from the gym payload and neither unit distorted at unacceptable levels at max volume It has Jump Man by Buckethead, Soon It Will Be Cold Enough by Emancipator, Live Like You Were Dying by Tim McGraw, Like A Virgin by Madonna, and Tootsie Roll by the The sound you'll get from either unit won't be as deep, rumbling, nose tickling, chest caving, hair moving bass you might expect from an actual subwoofer found in the car of those irritating neighborhood kids there at 2 in the afternoon. Breakfast is served every morning at 30am. It's noticeable that the SC2 bass has a bit more punch. Both units sound absolutely awful when Justin Bieber is playing. He seems to be crying in both speakers because both speakers make his music sound like a child. Thanks to Anker, the SC2 now has a small Anker logo on the front grille opposed to the huge logo found on the original I would say it was money well spent to spend these extra couple bucks. If you think the SC1 is a bit old or rough, I would suggest that you switch to the SoundCore 2(though neither sound is better or worse than the SC1) since it is the upgraded version for the price of tomorrow's.

Despite high expectations, the movie ended up being a disappointment
3/5

I am in love with These look to be made well and last for a long time. Hence, you might be asking, "why just a single star?". Finally, I must say that this is a great audio device, specially for the price. Fits well and is durable, has rubber fusion around the edges, has a very distinctive layout, and has good power. There is an issue with the connection. My problem is that I have to turn it on and then I have to connect it to the phone. I have done everything I can think of to make this work but it just keeps saying "Please turn on or place the device in range" every time. You can use Bluetooth by clicking the icon. There is still no response. There is only one way to use it, which is to hit the "forget device" button and add it again. As I have said before, I have done this many A hardware issue is clearly at play here. It must have been a dud, but I gave it to my father as a gift, and I am very upset about that. In fact, I almost feel humiliated and ashamed because of what I did to.
