Questions & Answers

Do they have a long shelf life?

Yes, I believe that is correct. In October 2017, I received my copy. They're still working in August of this year. The issue is that the foam ear piece on the left side is coming loose. This entails taking them to and from work for 40 minutes in all kinds of weather. The longest pair of headphones I've ever owned, including the Beats Solo and Solo 2, lasted this long. I don't wear them to the gym because I don't want to get sweat on them.

Is it easy for them to break?

Yes, they are easily broken; after 4 months of use, ours began to show tears where the plug connects to the wire and eventually broke.

Is it possible to fold them?

No, they can't be folded.

Is this the real deal?

Yes, I bought them for my son as a Christmas present, and he absolutely adores them. I purchased the red ones for him. They're the real deal.

Be careful who you buy from
3/5

In the last six months, I've purchased two pairs of Beats EP headphones. Within 2- The cord frays where it connects to a device after three months (see photo), resulting in intermittent sound and, eventually, sound in only one headphone (different one for each set!). "Unfortunately, the lifespan of these headphones just exceeds the return or service window. br>However, for the first month, they do provide excellent sound for the price - That's why, after the first one failed, I went out and bought a second one.

They don't last very long! These were purchased as a Christmas present for my son. 12/17 was the date on which the item was purchased. 11/18 was a break. It's complete nonsense. I can't even return them because I don't have the option. About 5 years ago, I paid $250 each for two wireless pairs. Within a year, both of them had snapped. I've now spent $600 on Beats and have nothing but useless, broken headphones to show for it.

It *WOULD* have been a good set of headphones

Beats for my son at a reasonable price. He adores them, and the sound they produce is fantastic! br>br>September 14th, 2017- UPDATE: The rating has been lowered from five to three stars. After about six months of use, the headphones broke. They were impossible to wear because the headband piece had broken in half. This appears to be a well-known issue with Beats headphones. I'm glad I bought the Assurion Insurance for a few dollars. I submitted a claim and received a complete refund within hours of sending it in.

Although it sounds fantastic, it is not long-lasting

On the side, I occasionally work as a DJ. These appeared to be an ideal pair of headphones, with reviewers praising their sound quality and durability. They were correct in their assessment of the sound quality. 4 out of 5 stars They aren't Bose, but they are inexpensive at $80. The plastic pieces around where the can adjusts length started to separate just as I was about to run out of warranty. This meant it would always try to return to the shortest length on that side, which I was able to fix with some electrical tape, but it wasn't ideal. So they'll do the job, but for $80, I think you can do better. However, I'm having trouble finding anything decent at the same time. If you have any suggestions for under $100 items, please let me know.

The Hubs gives it a thumbs up
4/5

We needed a second set of headphones for him to use with his computer so he could hear what was going on when we did a live stream on my YouTube channel together. These headphones were a perfect fit for my needs. br>br>I'm currently using the pink Beats Solo in the photo, but this review is for his black Beats. Although I hate to admit it because the Solo pair is more expensive, the sound quality of this pair is superior. He likes them because they are simple to use and adjust the size on. br>br>The only thing I don't like about them is that the cord is built in, so it can't be replaced. The cord on the Beats Solo plugs into the headphones, so if it shorts out, you can simply replace the cord without having to pay for the headphones again. That is the only negative aspect of these headphones that I can think of, and it is why I gave them 4 instead of 5 stars. br>br>I'll come back and update if anything changes, but so far everything is fine, and he seems to enjoy them.

Excellent sound; however, it is not suitable for professional use

MOST OUTSIDE SOUND IS BLOCKED OUT. They're excellent headphones, but they have a few flaws. BADbr>1. br>br>BADbr>BADbr>BADbr>BADbr>BADbr>BA You can't be too rough with them or the metal part between the actual headphone and the headrest will bend; the cord, as you've probably heard, is also pretty flimsy and will tear easily if you're not careful.
2. After 2 or more hours of wearing them, they begin to hurt your ears; however, this is to be expected with on-ear headphones. headphones for the ears
3. Because of the cord, they are not very portable, but they can be transported safely. br>br>EXCELLENTbr>1. br>br>EXCELLENTbr>2. br>br> a fantastic soundbr>br>br>br>a fantastic soundbr Does a good job of blocking out most outside noisebr>3. It is not necessary to charge!.

Amazon has once again "bested" them
5/5

I saw these headphones for $80 on Amazon and thought that was a great deal for Beats headphones. They felt great in my ears when they arrived, and the sound quality was incredible. The only way they could be better is if they were wireless, which they are not. However, I am not willing to pay the extra $200 for wireless solo 2 or 3 headphones. So if it hadn't been for this, I would have given it four stars. I was out shopping when I came across a section of the store dedicated to electronics. I was blown away when I saw the price of the Beats ep. They cost $139 in total, including tax. Once again, Amazon outperforms them.

I don't think it's a good idea to try it
3/5

I bought these in December 2017 and it's now July 2018, so it hasn't even been a full year since I've had them, and the earpieces are falling apart; one side came undone a month or two ago, but the other side has recently started falling off as well. They should, in my opinion, last longer than a few months for the money spent.
