I received my new case today and have already used it with two pop sockets. Before putting the case on, I first removed the phone. When that came off, I assumed it was due to the fact that it wasn't brand new. However, after only a few minutes of use, a new pop socket (from a well-known brand) came off. I don't want to use any more glue or anything because I don't want to damage it or the case, and I want to be able to swap it out, so I'm going to have to look for another case.

It does not, in fact. In addition to the case, you'll need to buy a screen protector. I bought the screen protector below and am very happy with it. It was very simple to put together after reading the instructions. This device has a lot of buttons! They're so annoying because they catch on my jeans and have an unpleasant feel to them. The buttons make the whole outfit look like a typewriter from the 1990s, which is a huge no-no. What is the source of these glowing testimonials? I had been taken advantage of. br>br>In this photo, I stacked a Crave pixel 4a case on top of a Caseology parallax pixel 1 case I had on hand. The difference in button height can be seen clearly. The button height on the Crave pixel 4a case (see 2nd image) is roughly equal to the thickness of a quarter. Yeah. woof. Don't buy it! br>br> Get something that is better designed and has received user feedback before it is manufactured. br>br>In addition, the fingerprint reader is too narrow for the thickness of the case; I feel like I'm shoving my finger through a tube to unlock the phone; that's what I get for having fat fingers lolbr>br>Update 8/31/20: I discovered that swiping down on the fingerprint scanner is impossible with this case - I do this at least 20 times per day. On the top, there is a ridge- This is impossible because the fingerprint scanner is on the opposite side of the hole. The case is rendered useless. 2nd image is now updated.
I ordered three different kinds and decided to keep this one - For the Pixel 4a, there's the Crave Dual Guard case. The Spigen Rugged Armor and the Caseology Parallax were the other two. All of them, in my opinion, are compelling arguments. br>br>The bright saturated color I could get with Crave was one of the reasons I stuck with it. I leave my phone all over the house and need to be able to find it quickly. The Caseology was a muted purple, while the Spigen is only available in black. The button covers were also one of the reasons I liked the Crave. Yes, they are more prominent and have a gleaming chrome finish, which I like, especially on Droids where the power and volume buttons are on the same side, making them much easier to identify and press. Someone expressed dissatisfaction with being tangled up in things. This is something that never occurs. br>br>I believe the Crave has the thickest profile, making it less sleek than the Spigen (which is the thinnest) or the Caseology (which is more in-between). The Crave, however, may be the most well-protected of the three. Another reviewer complained that it didn't do a good job of dispersing heat - It has two layers on the back (silicone and hard case), so it's possible, but I've never had that issue. Finally, thanks to a gradually slanting bevel, the crave has the best back fingerprint cutout of the three. br>br>I've had my Pixel 4a with the Crave case for about a month and am quite pleased with it. I would strongly suggest it.
I'm a woman who wears tighter pants, so fitting this into my back pocket was no problem. The fingerprint area, according to one user, is too small - That isn't the case, so I'm not sure where he got that. br>br>I understand if the side buttons are too large for some; they do protrude quite a bit, but I prefer it that way. It's super simple to press, especially when I'm looking for my phone in the dark. br>br>The only potential drawback I would mention is that you must be careful when installing this in your car mount because if it grips on top of one of those buttons, it will turn your phone off or bring up that random emergency screen (I have a Pixel 4A). Aside from the potential button issues, it's a great case for the money, being both durable (I've dropped my phone three times) and comfortable.
I usually purchase my Android phone cases from a different company, but this Crave case piqued my interest. The color scheme appealed to me, and I was excited to see the first green. I wanted a color that was different from my 4a's boring black. br>br>I used to have a Pixel 3a, and the case I had on it was fantastic. The only complaint I had was that the volume buttons were difficult to press. Because the buttons were flush with the case, it was difficult to locate the volume buttons. There is a lot of accidental power button pressing, and it's difficult to tell the difference between volume up and down. br>br>This Crave Pixel 4a case was perfect for resolving that problem. It has power and volume buttons that look like they're made of chrome. The buttons were also divided by Crave. They have a tactility to them and a clicking sound to them. Very nice. br>br>The case's back has a grippy, matte feel to it. If you look closely, it has a geometric design that makes it much easier to hold without fear of the phone slipping out of your hand. br>br>A recessed hole for the fingerprint sensor is also included in the Crave case, which slopes down gradually to guide your finger to the sensor. It also has a cutout for the camera, which protects it from sharp edges and falls. br>br> br>br>The Crave case has all of the necessary cutouts for ports, mics, speakers, and other features. br>br>It's a two-piece design, with a soft black plastic frame that creates the phone and a harder, out plastic piece that snaps into the back of the black case. As a result, you get a two-tone effect, with the primary color on the back and around the edges and the secondary color on the front and around the edges.
Overall, I like how this case looks, and it fits my phone perfectly. I never had the impression that the phone would be pulled out of nowhere. And I'm confident that I'll be well-protected in the long run. br>br>It all came down to grip for me. This case has a slightly rougher texture to it, making it feel a little slick in the hand. My fear was that I'd lose control of the phone while handling it, particularly when taking it out of my pocket. However, even in everyday use, particularly when watching videos, It just didn't feel safe in my hands. br>br>There's no denying that it looks fantastic. In general, the fit is satisfactory. However, I returned the case because the grip was not comfortable for me. br>br>My advice is to give it a shot at the very least.
