Although I have previously trusted OtterBox products, this phone case did not protect my phone when it was dropped. When I went to clean it, I discovered it had a cracked back. When I contacted OtterBox to see what they could do, they informed me that the warranty only covered the phone case, not the phone it was supposed to protect. Don't waste $50 on a phone case that won't protect your phone.
It appears to be exploitative, given that the company is pushing for a $30-million expansion. In addition to the overpriced cover, you'll need a $40 screen protector. However, I still purchased one because the case is fantastic, but not having a screen protector is a huge no-no.
Despite what the listing claims, this case will not fit an iPhone 11. The case is for an "iPhone 2019 Large," according to the box. "It's far too large for a standard iPhone 11. " This seller has an iPhone 11 Pro Max case listed separately on Amazon. I ordered it first, thinking it was for the "iPhone 2019 XL. " "It's even bigger than this. " Given that the iPhone 11 Pro comes in only two sizes, I'm not sure how there can be two sizes, neither of which fits the smaller iPhone 11.
To help protect my phone, I've made it a point to always use this brand. Sadly, the inside plastic case of this case cracked after only two months. The phone, thankfully, was not damaged. I'm not sure why, but I'm disappointed that I now have to worry about my phone being damaged. In addition, all of the previous cases I'd purchased included a built-in screen protector. This new version does not, necessitating the purchase of an additional screen protector.
It's an excellent case. Defender of the otter box on a regular basis. When we put the case on, we discovered it was broken. It's not worth the trouble to return, but it's still a letdown. The chips in the bottom corners can be seen in the photo.
It doesn't even come close to covering the screen! Wtf! It's made up of several pieces, but the screen isn't covered in any way, so it's not even protected if it falls face down and hits something like a Little Rock. What a colossal squandering of $50.
I love it; I've had iPhones and Otterboxes for ten years and have never had a device break or crack, despite the fact that I drop my phones frequently.
Over the course of three years and two phones, I've gone through four Defender cases. I'm happy with the protection, but not so much with the $50 price tag; after all, it's just a phone case. br>br>On my last phone, an iPhone 6, I went through two fantastic Defender cases and one dubious case (none of the panels were flush, so it was likely a knockoff or defective). br>I dropped that phone on every surface imaginable (tile, cement, pavement, glass, water-filled containers, etc. ). filled tub), and my phone was unharmed each time. After a series of bad drops, each case eventually broke, but the phone remained unharmed. br>br>I recently purchased a new case for my new iPhone11, and I'm a little concerned. One of the sides isn't completely closed (possibly a knockoff?). It's a little flimsy in places (defective?) but it's very solid overall. I'm hoping the Defender holds up against the new iPhone design, which appears to be more prone to breaking than the 6. br>br>Overall, the installation was simple, and I'll update once I've dropped my phone.
