It's not too difficult to get a truck system up and running
5/5

For a 4 channel setup, this is a good option. the metal copper Screws and terminals I bought this to add some bass to my 2003 GMC 1500 RC- Everything you'll need to run an AMP wherever/whatever you want is included in the kit. The main power and rca, remote wires are long enough to connect to any full-size eg- A full-cab truck and/or a coupe are both acceptable options. Perhaps a mid-size four-door vehicle or something larger. br> I tucked myne and hid them well, running from the battery under the hood to the head unit along the driverside kick and door sill panel. I had about 6-foot of wire left over. I'd estimate that you're around 8 feet tall. I didn't want to cut it until I had a better idea of what I wanted to do with my system. I'm just playing around with this kit to get some sounds going. There's a thump in the background. Later on, I'll be able to add on or upgrade. The main power wire is of excellent quality. br>br> The fuse panel appears to be in good working order. A rubber housing with a fuse inlne is all there is to it. br> The RCA's can also be used to sneak up on the head unit. Make sure the plug is clean. br>Remote wire, similar to HAY- The inside of the BALE string is actually good quality copper. br> The ground wire is long enough to do the job. All terminals and cpl screws were included in the package. br> I used a vice to crimp the main power and ground terminals on the ends. vice grips are a type of grip. held up to scrutiny a light crimp It is preferable to solder. They do, however, blend in well. br>At the battery supply, the main power- For a side-post battery, the eye is a little too small. I simply split and spread the eye, then placed it behind the POS bolt with a thin washer. On the battery cable, cut a notch out of the side of the rubber insulation. For the past week, I've been able to maintain my composure. br>br>My only regret is that I didn't go with 0,1, or 2 gauge. This set of wires is a little smaller than I recall, and it's only good for a 4-pin connector. The maximum power output is 500 watts per amp. On the other hand, I didn't expect the cheap 3800 watt wudi amp I bought for $50 to be as good as it is. It dims lights when idle, and if bass is more than 30% on the amp setting, it will go into too protect mode. This kit is clearly insufficient for any subwoofer that needs to be loud. However, I was unable to purchase the 0G kit due to my financial constraints. Now it's up to me to figure out what to do with it. br>br>Would be fine for any 4ch amp, or any amp setup that does not run 10-watts. 12" sub. Even so, I suppose it will get you to work. This is the same kit that was available in 2003 at Walmart. There's no difference whatsoever. Aside from extra terminals and actually good quality stranded fine copper cables, there's nothing else. w/ a nice 20 ft. of 14g? I didn't need it, but I'm going to use it anyway. br>br>If you have a four-channel amp and four speakers in your extended cab/4-door truck, this is the kit for you. even a small-scale business a car of average size And it uses less than 1000 watts. I haven't wired a system in a long time. I'd forgotten about the specifications and sizes, and I'd forgotten how much power these machines consume. A capacitor is something I'd definitely look into. Alternatively, you could use the old backyard mechanic trick of charging a small motorcycle or deep cycle battery by amp. If you can afford a capacitor, it will help keep the amp from dimming and going into protect mode.

Stunning in its simplicity
4/5

It's bare bones, but it gets the job done. There's nothing spectacular about this place. On a 2012 Ford Fusion, the power cable was barely long enough to get from the battery under the hood on the driver's side to an amp mounted in the trunk on the passenger's side. If you have a longer vehicle or an SUV, it's a no-go. The hole in the ring terminal of the negative cable was TINY, about the size of a sheet metal screw. I had to drill it out to use a 10mm ground bolt that I already had, and the fuse holder is just a basic maxi-fuse. However, this isn't a problem because it means replacements are easy to come by. In addition, despite the fact that it is a four-channel kit, it only comes with two two-channel microphones. Because there are two RCA pairs with the same color, you'll have to continuity test them after your run to figure out which one is which. Although reasonable for the price, particularly for 8ga, it may be worthwhile to spend the extra money on something a little nicer.

I should've taken a closer look
3/5

This kit didn't impress me at all. In hindsight, I should have scrutinized the data more thoroughly. I decided to go with the scosche name brand because I assumed it would be of higher quality. I couldn't find the name brand anywhere on the package, but that doesn't rule out the possibility that it is theirs. I'm not a fan of the massive blade fuse; it just seems cheap to me. The worst part of the kit is that there isn't enough ground wire; I have to connect ground for amps to the battery directly. I'll have to find 12' of 8 gauge wire to replace the 2' of ground wire that came with it.

The quality of this kit is far superior to that of other low-cost kits
5/5

I got this after returning the Install gear kit because it was a waste of money. In every way, it is superior. Everything you need is included, including excellent twisted RCA cables, long speaker wire, and true 8 ga power wire. It was an excellent solution. I'm blown away by the value, and the quality is excellent for the price. This was perfect for my 500 watt per channel system; the ground cable may be a little short for some, but I always ground my amps to the body of the car within 18 inches of the amp, so this wire was plenty for me. This kit will not let you down.

It was a good investment
5/5

If you've ever used a scosche amp kit, you'll know you're getting the size wire they specify! These are identical to the ones you can buy at Wal-Mart. Except they don't come in a zip-lock bag like Mart. A loc bag, similar to what an installer might keep in their shop. I just wish they'd give you four feet of ground wire instead of two. VARY HAPPY! I'm going to buy more! If anyone from Scosche is reading these reviews, it would be fantastic if one of these kits could be made into a 0/1 Gauge installation kit!.

The cords aren't long, but they're adequate for the price
4/5

The cords (RCA and Power) are short, but you get a lot for your money. Other kits may have longer cords so you don't have to work around them. To avoid interference issues, I would have liked to run the power cord up one side of my Tundra and the RCAs down the other, but due to length, I couldn't. My truck is a 2002 Toyota Tundra with extended cab.

Sound quality is excellent, and the wiring is of the highest standard
5/5

I wasn't sure what gauge to get for my amp because I'm only running about 300 watts for one 10in sub and this is more than capable for that; I could do another if I wanted and it would be fine. The wire was long enough to go from my battery to behind the seats in the back of my super crew cab truck.

It's cheap, it's decent, and it works
5/5

Look, if you buy this kit for the price, you can't really complain. I usually buy Fosgate or Sky-Hawk gear. This kit was used to power a 108-watt amplifier by high audio or alpine, who wanted to do a low-budget build. 153 watt rms (tested) setup, it's a little on the high side but it's cheap and it works. The only issue I had was the included fuse was junk, guess it was stepped on during shipping and broke the plastic, but it's not a big deal.
