Mini- USB, but keep in mind that this camera does not operate at the standard 5V that most cameras do. It is necessary to have 6. You'll have a hard time finding another power cable that works with 7V.
It's long enough to reach the cigarette lighter while also tucking around the edges. However, if you want to use parking mode, you'll have to connect it to the car directly! br>In addition, I strongly advise you to buy the GPS. br>Not only will it show you where you are, but it will also tell you how fast you are going. br>If you get a speeding ticket that you didn't deserve, this is proof of speed. br>In a court of law, this video will be legal.
You have the option to increase the volume.
Hello, the 3 wire hardwire kit is still available for purchase, but you'll need to disable parking mode in the settings. Anna BlackboxMyCar, thank you for your help.

After about four weeks of operation, the camera began to flicker in low light conditions. In the video below, you can see it. br>I contacted support at support. viofo two weeks ago. com (the dashcam manufacturer) sent them some video samples that were flickering and had strange horizontal stripes. After two weeks of back-and-forth messages, the support team still has no idea what the issue is. They advised me to turn off HDR (which I had already done), get a faster SD card (which I had already done), and update the firmware (which I did, but nothing changed). Today I received new advice from them, stating that "in order to watch my videos, I needed to use VLC or MPC, as they had no issues watching them in those players. " This is getting out of hand! br>br>UPDATE: br>br> Within a few days, support at BlackboxMyCar US (the seller) had the faulty camera tested, confirmed that there was a problem, and sent me a replacement. First and foremost, I strongly advise contacting the seller.
Before I decided to buy the Viofo A119, I spent a lot of time watching reviews on Dash Cameras. The Viofo A119 received a lot of positive feedback, but there was always the caveat that it was very basic in terms of features, but the price was fantastic. br>br>I didn't need all of the features, and I didn't want to pay extra for a "premium" dashcam that included parking mode, lane departure, and wifi, but I was concerned about the video quality, especially since all of the new dash cams are supposed to be 4k. I debated whether or not to buy a higher-resolution dashcam, but ultimately decided that all I needed was a simple, small, and reliable dashcam that I could leave in my car and forget about. I was very pleased (impressed) with the video quality after receiving the Viofo, and it made me think. "Wow, I'm not sure why it took me so long to buy this. " I like that it has a capacitor instead of a battery, which means it should be able to withstand the heat of the California summers in Los Angeles, and I haven't had any problems so far. br>br>Here are a few very minor "wish list" items that I'd like to see them include: 1. br>br> I think the dashcam's shape is ideal without the GPS, and it's simple to install on the windshield, but I don't like the added depth that comes with the GPS sensor. It would have been better if it had been integrated and just widened a little. 2. br>br>1. br>br>br>br>br>br The mini- It's sometimes difficult to get the SD card back into the dashcam, and I can't seem to figure it out, but that's probably more of a "me" issue. 3. br>br>4. br>br>5. br>br>6. I appreciated the long power cable and cigarette lighter, but I would have preferred a newer style USB-C port. c plug. I'm just being selfish because I could have used it for something else and it's much easier to plug it in. br>br>If you're deciding between $100 and $300, I'd recommend the latter. You might be surprised if you try this one first! br>br>I've already purchased one as a gift for a friend, and I intend to purchase another for my wife's vehicle. Glennbr>br>Update: br>br>Glennbr>br>Glennbr>br>Glennbr>br>Glennbr 7th of July, 2021br>br>Just wanted to give you a quick update: In January 2020, I had the Viofo V3 installed in my BMW 535d. Because the car is parked outside all day at work and at night when parked at my house, having a capacitor inside was one of the selling points. I've had no problems with it, so I'm not sure if the other sellers were unlucky or if I just got lucky, but I just bought another one during Prime Day; so I'll let you know if I run into any problems. br>br>Glenn.
As a verified purchaser, I thought I'd leave a review. I've had the Aukey 1080p, Aukey 4k (horrible), Viofo v2, and now this camera. It's a great all-around cam; you can see license plates clearly even at 30fps pausing video frame by frame depending on the lighting; it's a little tougher at night depending on the angle of the car due to fuzziness, but the quality is good otherwise. br>br>I just want to make it clear that this is a 1600p camera, not a 4k one. So it's a notch above 1440p and will only show up as 1440p on YouTube, for example, and it doesn't suffer from blurry video in extreme heat like Aukey products do. br>br>The glare is pretty bad, but that's due to my windshield, which the polarizer fixed; it did take a little light away from the camera, but it more than compensates for the glare being gone. Cons include: br>br> The video audio is a little low, but the v2 has the same problem; additionally, the GPS on the v2 model is not backwards compatible.
Unfortunately, one of the two cameras I bought in February 2020 has failed. In any case, it couldn't be switched on. I was looking for a return or repair service, but it appears that these options are no longer available. Is this for real? It died after only 6 months.
After watching YouTube reviews, I purchased this product. I read the manual and used the ac adapter that came with it to install it. It worked fine for about 6 days before abruptly ceasing to function. It didn't turn on automatically as it should have. It wouldn't turn on if I pressed the power button, and it also wouldn't turn on when I plugged it into a computer. I looked it up on the internet and found that it was a common occurrence. So I contacted Amazon, who kindly offered to send me a replacement. However, the final one worked for a shorter period of time than the first, and I used a new ac adapter and cable just in case it was a faulty wire or power supply, but the problem persisted. For less than a day, it worked perfectly. There are no warnings about power outages. There are no "alerts" to be found. Then it suddenly stopped working as I drove home last night. This dash cam should be avoided at all costs.
This week, I was in a bad car accident where a driver rear-ended me, causing my 2019 Honda to be totaled. Fortunately, there were witnesses, and the man admitted to the cop that he had collided with me. In any case, when a high impact is detected, the camera should protect the video files. However, they were simply erased! I have excellent video from both before and after the accident. The accident files, on the other hand, have vanished. Instead of moving them to a secure file, the camera simply deleted them. A camera that is completely useless.
