It was first a two-camera Pormido dash/rearview mirror system that I tested, but when I saw the new upgraded model with three cameras I knew it would be great for my Sprinter Adventure RV. My response was to return the two camera set via Amazon Prime and upgrade the system to have a mid-cabin camera so I can monitor the driver, passenger, the interior of the RV, and even see out the I got both the front and the cabin cameras which are fully adjustable with tilting lenses and even my 19' sprinter van comes with enough cable to fit the rear view camera. You can swipe up or down on the monitor/mirror to scan that much vertically as well as the wide angle field of view for all three cameras is incredible, at 170 degrees. A brightness control is available on the mirror monitor for controlling the brightness of the monitor. The images are crisp and sharp and with good contrast. When I upload some better photos with more cars in them I'll try to upload some better images from my test ride. Because the camera is mounted directly on the windshield glass forward of the driver's seat, I position it high on the interior glass and angle it slightly downward so I can see over the front of my hood better than my own eye view from the driver's seat. The MB Sprinter has a sloped nose and I have added a front bumper and a guard. Also, the wide angle rear camera lets me see cars getting into my blind spots before I see them in my mirrors or they are detected by the Sprinter's blind spot sensors. Observing them approach in the mirror monitor and then pass in my side view is well worth the time. It is so much safer and earlier than the OEM blind spot sensor warning on the side view mirrors of the MB. There is plenty of wire length available from Pormido, which is great (but might be difficult to coil, zip tie, and conceal excess wire, if you can't hide it). Nevertheless, you'd rather go the extra mile than come up short. A stick is also available from them I used cable clamps to secure the wires to the headliner and door corner moldings, and a little plastic tool to push them in. The overall system works very well for me. Because of the way the slot is placed at the top of the mirror monitor, it's a bit difficult to pop out the tiny micro disc with my large finger. With the 128GB micro card, I now have two, and the 32GB card included is still functional. If the next model would improve here are wireless cameras that eliminate the wiring process, and possibly voice control, though the first experiences I had with Siri / Alexa in the van were disappointing. They are just extra bells and whistles that add to operation complexity and add to expense. This Pormido product is high quality, and the images are excellent, and the Pormido customer service has been wonderful. I ordered the kit without the GPS antennaa, but they shipped my order promptly. They sent everything else as well, so there was no delay, and I am expecting to get the antenna which plugs into the inside of the windshield as soon as possible. Glad to have found you! My hope is that this one will last longer than the previous ones or at least longer than the previous installed ones. Any updates will be made if something new arises. Update
A mirror stopped working properly on 11JAN21, problems with GPS, dead pixels, and lots of interference with the current. The unit is a great one, I hope it is just the defective one. I've ordered a replacement, let's see if that fixes everything. The star rating has been lowered to three. I have updated I had the replacement delivered in less than two days, even faster than the first time. With the new device, I was able to fix 2 of the 3 problems, but the GPS wasn't working. Tried everything, including keeping the antenna out for almost 5 hours to get a I couldn't get it to work. As a result, for me it is simply not worth the money for the reliability offered for a brand-new device. It is obviously useful to have three cameras, but it must not work right out of the box. Two stars are lowered. Testing it and comparing it with previous mirrors will take place until the break down. I can't get in touch with customer service at all to solve my In the case of a customer support problem, at least the VANTOP mirrors customer service will try their best to assist.
