Support nuts are made of plastic or rubber and are completely worn out

I like the idea of the USB port and external input jack being accessible remotely. Sadly, the unit is made of plastic and the nuts that secure the unit in place are made of rubber plastic. As a result, they cannot be tightened enough to keep the unit in place The design for a marine application was poor, even though the concept was great. The product could have been made of stainless steel and I would gladly have paid the higher price for a quality product rather than a flimsy and weak Despite the fact that it works well for audio, it just won't stay in place due to the poor plastic hardware, which isn't strong enough to hold the device.

The contacts don't lock in place, which allows dust and other matter to contaminate them, creating a tedious and not so easy task to clean

The product arrived as described, the connection performance is within its boundaries, and the protective cap has a large Unlike the larger contacts, this one does not lock in place, so dust and other materials can contaminate the contacts, making cleaning a tidious and difficult task. The product I'm reviewing is not recommended.
