My rear camara was damaged, so I emailed the company to inform them of the situation, and they promptly sent me a new rear camara, which worked perfectly. You can try doing that rear camara when you arrive in four days.
Selected User Reviews For Kingslim DL12 Pro 4K Mirror Dash Cam, 12" Front and Rear Dash Camera for Cars with Dual Sony Sensor, GPS Tracking, Super Night Vision, Waterproof Backup Camera and Parking Assistant
For a long time, I've been a die-hard dash cam user. When I got a t-shirt, they also saved me from having to deal with insurance problems. A few years ago, I was boned. With that said, there was HD, then 2K, and now I wanted a 4K dash cam, so the camera has been performing admirably for the past month. While cable routing can be difficult for first-time users, simply run the cable along the headliner as well as the seal around the vehicle to make the installation relatively simple. br>br>The dash cam has a lot of configuration options, including a voice control for starting and stopping the video as well as switching the camera. That is a setting I do not use, preferring instead to use the back camera and view. There's also a button on the bottom that turns off the screen, allowing you to use the mirror as a regular mirror without the video. br>br>It has a bright and clear time and date on the right hand side, as well as a crystal clear display with split screen capability. This is an excellent dash cam with 4K resolution that I strongly recommend.
This device is impressive. br>br>Both the front and rear cameras have crystal clear image quality, and the touchscreen displays it well. In low-light situations, the night vision sensors perform admirably. In low-light conditions, I'll make sure to record everything that happens on night drives. br>br>By swiping left on the touchscreen, you can also switch between which camera is displayed on the screen. This is especially useful if you want to keep the rear camera visible so you can use it instead of the regular mirror as a rearview. This is something I'd recommend because the camera's view is much larger and better than a traditional rearview mirror. br>br>Aside from changing the camera view on the screen, you can also adjust the viewing angle by sliding your finger up and down on the left side of the screen. The brightness of the screen can be adjusted by sliding your finger up or down on the right. You can access your recordings by sliding your finger to the right to enter the playback menu. The menus are simple to navigate. br>br>The touchscreen is responsive, and you can change a variety of settings, such as turning on the parking guard feature, which records everything that happens while you're away. br>br>This camera unit is wide enough to fit on all rearview mirrors, and the setup is simple. The rubber straps on the unit's clips are simply wrapped around your original rearview camera to secure it snugly. Overall, this is an intuitively designed camera that is worth the price; it has all of the features you'd need in a dashcam and doubles as a rearview mirror, making it more convenient. br>br>Overall, this is an intuitively designed camera that is worth the price; it has all of the features you'd need in a dashcam and doubles as a rearview mirror, which makes it more convenient. Anyone looking for a reliable, high-quality dashcam should consider this.
While driving my Jeep through the back country, I enjoy filming my adventures. It's crystal clear thanks to the 4K video. I usually run it through an editor to tweak the color, contrast, and saturation if necessary, but if it doesn't, it's only a quick fix. I haven't installed the rear-facing camera yet because the Jeep gets so filthy. br>br>On my first all-day adventure with this dash cam, it was over 90 degrees outside and over 100 degrees inside this old Jeep's cab, which had no air conditioning. When I used an active display, the dash cam, as well as the power port plug, became quite warm. It's also crucial to use the dash cam's original plug and cable rather than one from another brand, even if it works for a while, because the dash cam has an internal breaker that will reset to protect itself. I already had a smaller 1080p dash in the Jeep, so I decided to use the cable from that to connect the newer one. Because I made a mistake, I'm sharing it here so that others can learn from it. It didn't break anything, but the camera kept rebooting when it became too hot until I plugged in the included cable/plug. br>br>I also learned to turn off the display when operating in hot weather. I drove the Jeep through some very rough and rocky terrain, which caused the Jeep and dash cam to bounce around a lot, but the cam was unfazed. Internal stabilization did a good job of smoothing out the video. br>br>I would highly recommend these Kingslim dash cams to my Jeeping buddies, and I have already done so. The front camera and display are simple to install on an existing mirror, while the rear camera and display may require a little more time and cable routing, depending on your vehicle.
I purchased this at the end of May and was extremely disappointed! The rear view mirror is completely useless (and dangerous) if the back window has any amount of ambient light! Only when I slammed my hand on the module did the GPS feature turn on. One (zero) star was assigned at the outset. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> They've sent me a replacement, which I'll re-install and test once I've had a chance to do so. my review should be posted/edited In the meantime, due to the arrival of the replacement, the rating has been temporarily reduced to three stars.
