When I did the first run, I left the mirror at its normal position, but the screen was pretty much washed out due to reflective glare, so I angled the mirror downward and a bit toward me, so it helped some. The display settings would have to be read from a shady spot on the side of the road for me to make adjustments using the menu. The same applies to any dash cam that is mounted to the mirror, but it might be helpful if another dash cam mounted to the mirror had or had the option of having A second problem with the unit is that on the first day of use, the GPS reading of the vehicle fails to kick in until a few minutes/miles later.
