Questions & Answers

Can anyone tell me where I can find a picture of what this camera looks like? I need to install this on a motorhome, but I can't see what it looks like. Can anyone help?

It was a pleasure answering your question! Initially I was planning to buy this camera, but your question reminded me that I haven't seen a picture of it! I found one on page 2 of the user manual. Located under the heading Technical Specification on the product details page, you will find the user manual for the product on Amazon's main product page.

Is it going to drain the battery if connected to a constant 12 volt ?

In short, yes. It is wise to not turn the unit on when the vehicle is not in use as the battery will discharge and will need a jump start to start. There are two ways to avoid this scenario. To use this method, plug the device into a power accessory outlet that does not supply electrical power when you turn off the ignition. As an alternative, it is possible to mount it in a fuse box cavity or on a wire in the dash that does not provide power when the ignition is turned If you want to manually turn the device on every time you start the vehicle and turn it off every time you turn off the ignition, you could do that or unplug it from a power outlet after each turn. My preferred method was to use an adapter I bought from an auto supply shop to make contact with the dash fuse box. this way, the fuse protects the unit and it is automatically turned on and off when the ignition is turned on.

Would you mind telling me about the distance at which you work? The rest of my tow vehicle is 22 feet away from my travel trailer. Can it tow the trailer?

I use mine behind my 28 foot Terry trailer and it works great.

This program is OK, but a few quirks are bothersome
3/5

It is disappointing to see that this wireless backup camera/display kit cannot fix the problem. I like it a lot, but it's got a few annoying features (bugs? ). It takes a few seconds for the display to come on after the reverse gear is engaged. display updates in a jerky fashion as though only two frames are being displayed at a time. My other two wireless backup cameras from another maker also cost about the same, but their systems offer instant-on capability instead of a delayed start A smooth video is displayed on the display. bright side, there have been few complaints so far The performance at night and in low light is excellent. Having a wide field of view is also a big plus. Suction is good - The display cup is mounted on the cup. My opinion of this brand is I would not buy it I found to be most effective were from 4UCAM, which is available on.

The field of view was interesting
3/5

During the night, we had a little rain. As soon as I got up the next morning, I moved my truck to In an instant, the image from the camera appeared and then disappeared as soon as I put the camera in reverse. This is the first time an image has not appeared There can be only one culprit for this failure since the camera was the only one exposed to the rain. Reviews on Amazon mention there might be a camera leakage problem, but the positive reviews outweigh those that are negative. I liked the field of view, my first impression of camera clarity was good, the initial image displayed quickly, and the camera angle could be adjusted. Installation was pretty straightforward. To figure out the wiring necessary, I did some googling, but fortunately many people had the same issue, so I found the answer relatively quickly. The system would have been a good, cost-effective solution if it hadn't been destroyed by rain.

This device interferes with FM radio
3/5

It is easy to set up. The reverse lights installation took me more time than the rest of the install to locate the pos and neg wires. This light comes on when in reverse, and goes off as soon as you shift It is connected to my license plate, and I lied when I installed it--I did not tape it or screw it in. Keeping the camera in place with a license plate is all that is necessary. The following observations should be noted This is
br>- It did get wet enough that good video was impossible in the rain. A film of water covered the lens of the camera. Maybe that's due to my truck not having mud flaps, but it's something to keep in mind. This is
br>- As soon as the camera was turned on, my FM radio suffered interference. This is
br>- Alternative wiring for the camera would be helpful to me. Having it come on when I am going in reverse is nice, but I have to hook up trailers and sometimes go forward and back several times before it comes on again. Due to the camera only being able to operate in reverse, if you shift into another mode, you will lose your video. A powering solution that allows me to turn the camera on and off from within the cab, while not draining the battery when I'm not in it would be my ideal solution. Surely some other way can be found to solve this problem it would be wonderful if the company offered some alternative instructions (perhaps on their website) to get this type of aerial camera working. This is
br>- Unfortunately, I don't know how to get the video picture to work. There are some parts that are distorted or not seen at all, almost like a fish eye This part of the video is linear with the rest of it. As I get more familiar with it, I'll be able to learn more about it.

What I expected wasn't the case at all
3/5

The kit is mounted on the pickup in my 2011 F150. If you're one of those "experts" it will only take you a few hours to install (you need to take your time, might just do it faster if you're fast). It has only been a couple of days since I installed this camera and I have encountered two problems (complaints?). There are a couple of problems, first of all the picture quality is quite poor, not as sharp as advertised online Nothing I try seems to work, regardless of how I adjust the contrast and brightness. Second, there is a waiting period of about 4 seconds after you shift into reverse before the screen illuminates. I find that very frustrating. To find out what they have to say, I intend to talk to the manufacturer about these concerns. There is no jury left in this case. The fourth one is also good, I think. It is too small for a truck to have a 3" screen. It would be better to use 7". As it stands, I think you need to raise the bar to $250 or more to get the same level of quality as the factory-installed BU cameras on some of the higher end SUVs. In the event that it is returned, I will edit it later.

Rear view camera that works well
4/5

This camera does what it is advertised to do. The camera installs very easily and provides a decent picture while we are Rather than mounting it on the back of my travel trailer, I mounted it on the front. The monitor is at the very edge of the transmission range due to its location inside the truck. We can see that the picture freezes and only sporadically updates when it is set on the console. As long as we move it up and back a small amount, it works fine. If we mount it on the windshield, it freezes. If you are pulling anything longer than 30 feet, I would discourage you from using it. Other than that, it's a great rear view camera for a great price. The night vision is excellent for backing up in the dark.

I found it to work well for a day
3/5

Since it's hard to see how far behind things are when unloading or getting into tight spaces, I've been thinking about installing a backup camera on my pickup. Our team researched reviews on sites other than Amazon and the Yada wireless consistently ranked among the top budget picks. A total of four orders were placed. This monitor is 3 inches in size. When it arrived in two days, I went straight out to install it because a couple reviews said it was difficult and the instructions were unclear. It was found that neither of these was true. It only took an hour to get it done. This is one of my favorites. It had a good picture, and I was able to adjust the grid quickly and On day one, I am happy. Trying to see better the next day when I was out in the dark, I needed to adjust the brightness and contrast. On day 1, the menu button was inoperable. On day 2, it was working. The next time I try it, I'll take a picture of the results The night is dark, but if the menu button still doesn't work, this camera will be returned Sorry to hear that.
