Questions & Answers

Is it possible to use this on a horse trailer that has a fold-down ramp in the back? Also, could you add a second camera on the inside to keep an eye on the horses while they're traveling?

Yes, as long as it can be mounted above the stowed position of the door. All you'd have to do is connect it to your brake lights. It also has the capability of adding a second camera.

There were no screws included with the camera to mount it. What am I supposed to do?

Wood screws for wood, metal screws for metal, and pop rivets with a pre-drilled hole in the spot where it goes should all be the same size as the camera's mounting holes, which should be about 3/4 inch long. Good Luck

As a result, a second wireless camera can be used as an option. What wireless camera do you own that can be used as a backup?

I use only the one camera that came with the kit. I don't see why there shouldn't be a problem if there's a second camera on the same frequency. I would, however, double-check with the manufacturer. They're great at responding to customer questions.

What's the best way to connect your camera to your monitor? To pair my camera, you must press a button on the camera for two seconds. Isn't the camera 12 feet up?

The monitor also has a pairing button, which must be pressed simultaneously to pair, though mine was already paired.

The camera housing is rugged, and the display is bright
5/5

The range is excellent. Arrived ahead of schedule. Nice bright display that fits perfectly in the depression in my 2017 F250's dash with the stand folded back at 90 degrees, allowing me to see over it. I did put some ant-proofing tape in the drawers. To avoid scratching the dash, place a sheet underneath it. The system is completely self-contained, with no external transmitter or receiver on either end, so all you have to do is plug it in and go. I plugged in the display in the truck and took the camera for a walk while it was connected to the 12V battery on my bike before installing it. My F250 is a full-size bed with crew cab, so it's about 22 feet long, and the trailer is about 30 feet long, so I got out into my back yard, about 70 feet away and behind the house before losing connection, which is pretty impressive. The camera, which is mounted on the underside of the trailer's rear bumper, provides a perfect picture with no interference (I angled the camera's antenna down to clear the bumper, and the monitor so that it doesn't get in the way). The camera is housed in a tough cast aluminum case that is packed with LEDs. In comparison to the plastic case I had before, this one appears to be much more durable. BTW, instead of reversing lights, I connected my camera's power to the rear lights. When towing, I always run with my lights on, so this provides me with a constant active rear view.

For the money, it's a good deal

Learn how to improve the signal by reading this article. I bought this camera kit for my Ford Explorer and a 22' (total length) aluminum-sided travel trailer, and I've been using it for the past three weeks. br>br>At first, my performance was poor, but after purchasing a high-quality 25-foot 2, I was able to improve. High gain 2. 4GHz coax SMA extension cable ($37,) and 4GHz coax SMA extension cable I installed a 4 GHz antenna ($12) on the trailer's FRONT. br>br>Now the system is in great shape! Important Notes: (I am an electrical engineer)br>br>(I am an electrical engineer)br>br>(I am an electrical engineer)br>br>(I am an electrical engineer)br>br> (I am an electrical engineer)br>br>
- I would strongly advise connecting the rear camera to the trailer running lights in the back. You'll be able to turn the camera on and off from the driver's seat at any time, and your battery will not be constantly depleted! br>(I expected this to be difficult, but when I flipped open the cover to one of the running lights, there were only two screws to remove, and it came out easily with extra wiring that I could tap into! I initially connected directly to the trailer's 12VDC mains, then later re-connected. br>br>- connected it to the lights)br>br>- Even with a reasonably short straight-line run, the signal will not reach from the back of the trailer to the front of your tow vehicle using the "stock" antennas in the kit if you have an aluminum travel trailer like mine. The line distance (35' in my case) is sufficient to provide a smooth video feed. To get a good signal, you'll need to add an extension cable and move the antenna closer to the trailer's front. The extension antenna they provide is not something I would recommend. I'll get back to you on that. br>br>Overall, for the money, this is a good backup camera kit. I appreciate the screen's high quality and durability, as well as its large size. This is fantastic! The resolution isn't high-definition, but it's adequate for most situations. br>The ability to see in the dark is fantastic. On extremely dark nights, I can see incredibly well. br>br>The signal range of this kit is its MAJOR flaw. I rarely got 3 frames per second of video on the screen with the stock antennas (and 35 feet from the rear camera to the front screen), and drop-outs were common. 2-hour blackouts and black screens It took 4 seconds. br>br>However, this can be mitigated by implementing a high-performance computing environment. Coaxial extension cable of high quality (designed for the 2. 4GHz), as well as installing a better antenna in the FRONT of your trailer. br>br>This company sells a "remote" antenna, which I strongly advise against. br>Following the low FPS and drop-outs, I decided to try something new. I ordered and installed the extension antenna they recommended, but it only made a minor difference. They sell an extension antenna that is made of a very low-cost material. a high-quality coax cable that isn't intended to carry more than two people They provide 4GHz signals for a distance of 12 feet (the length of the cable). The cable itself degrades your signal strength by a factor of two in this setup. 75%! br>I couldn't even get the antenna to the front of the trailer because it wasn't long enough. br>br>I then placed an order for a coax extension cable that was specifically designed for these frequencies: br>and ran the cable all the way to the front of the trailer, where a higher gain 2 was installed. Antenna for 4 GHz br> I always have four bars of continuous signal and have never had a signal drop. I now have a very reliable, high-quality backup camera for my RV for a total investment of $200. br>br>Overall, for a total investment of $200, I now have a very reliable, high-quality backup camera for my RV. br>br>Note: If you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, try using the words "creative
- Even with full signal strength, this video feed's frame rate is nowhere near 30 frames per second. I'm guessing it's geared toward a frame rate of around ten frames per second. This isn't really a complaint because it's more than enough for towing, but I was surprised that the video wasn't as "smooth" as a movie or standard video. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> br>The camera is still working well after a five-month road trip and over 15,000 miles! It's more than paid for itself. br>br>I can't imagine driving or backing up a trailer without a rear camera now.

Excellent customer service and a product that arrived sooner than I had anticipated
5/5

Installing it was a breeze. The camera and monitor were instantly synced. This is a great image. Mounted on the back of a travel trailer, it needed a little more adjustment, and the monitor mount broke. I contacted the product's customer service, who responded promptly (despite the fact that it was a three-day weekend). A new mount and bracket will be sent. I'll get back on the road once I've installed the new bracket. So far, I've enjoyed what I've seen. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> I got a new mount and went for a drive with it. Connect to my trailer lights so that I can use them while driving. Synced perfectly, and the image quality is excellent. It's nice to have a view of the traffic behind me. I'm very pleased with the product and the customer service I received.

All it requires is a source of energy
5/5

Very easy to install; make sure to drill holes first, then install the camera screws with silicone (clear) on the screws to make them water resistant. When the headlights are turned on, tap into marker light power for a source of power for the camera. By doing so, you avoid accidentally draining your battery by leaving the camera turned on. The range is excellent for those who use this on a trailer (you'll know if your lights are on, and it's safer to drive with lights on during the day anyway). On my class C, I have it aimed a little further back to serve as a backup camera. It's a breeze to drive with it. It comes with a variety of monitor mounting brackets. The suction cup mount is placed just behind the rearview mirror. Even on washboard roads, it has never fallen off the glass. This product comes highly recommended!.

The highest possible quality - I have a number of different camera models in my possession
5/5

I'm buying from LeeKooLuu for the second time. I bought a different wireless backup camera for my parents and was so impressed with how simple it was to set up and use that I decided to get this one for myself. This one is of the same high quality as the previous model, but with a few additional features. The camera is simple to install, and the monitor can be mounted in a variety of ways depending on your vehicle's configuration. For me, it's the ability to leave the monitor on all the time, rather than just when I'm backing up! We tow a side by side behind our camper and needed a wireless camera with a strong enough signal to reach the vehicle's monitor. I would highly recommend this camera, as well as any other camera from these guys; I am very pleased!.
