It is really nice to be able to lend my trailer to a friend, and all they have to do is download the app to use the trailer. Also works well on iPad, and you have a much larger screen for backing up when you do so. Depending on your needs, the grid lines can be turned off and the image reversed if necessary Using your phone to do it all. As well as being able to take pictures while I am backing up or driving down the road, I also like this feature. You can back up at night too with this great night vision. Using this camera with a Dasaita 10 and Wolf Pup 16FQ, I monitor my farm. Using an Android 10 head unit in a 2017 Ridgeline. The stock wifi on the Dasaita is poor, but we were able to get the camera to work well after upgrading the antenna. A white screen would occasionally appear, and I was experiencing some lag. I obtained confirmation from Rohent's customer service that the camera's antenna is a 3dB unit, and the distance I'm trying to reach is beyond those To make things even better, they sent me a 7dB antenna. With the 7dB's lead, you can mount it closer to the car, roughly halfway forward on the trailer, and now it functions perfectly. It's always at full frame rate and there are no drops in the data. You should use a 7 or 9 dB antenna mounted as far forward as possible if you will be using this with a travel trailer. It would probably be a great idea Due to the fact that there are less materials in the trailer, the wifi signal isn't affected as much as in an airplane. My camera is mounted high enough to be above the range that the night mode is designed for. As long as you avoid touching anything, you can see well enough, but you won't be able to observe the intersections of asphalt and dirt without a flashlight. If mounted lower, I am certain that it would work nicely. A Nokia 6 device connected to my camera, and I was able to view the video. The new Galaxy S20FE cannot be paired with the existing Galaxy S10 with Android 10 or the older Galaxy S5. So far, I haven't thought about why I didn't see it, and I have no immediate need for it. As it is wired to the running lights on the trailer, I simply have to turn on the truck's lights in order to use it. My Dasaita often takes a while to make wifi available, and I have to ask it to reconnect to my network, that's a part of the Dasaita's problem. If you are going to connect this to a car's reverse light, you should not do it like you would for a regular backup camera, since it takes too long. I use the software, which is relatively basic and doesn't do anything special, but is fast and does what I need it to do. To make sense of this, touching the video will actually make it go full screen. It makes it perform better as a result. It would be easier to use if the app had a "full screen" icon like video players, and I would appreciate it if the guidelines were remembered when turned off (those up high are useless). Overall, I am very satisfied with this camera, despite the fact I had to install a better antenna, which I suspected I would have to do.

To use the camera all of the time, I wanted to keep it attached to my rear-view mirror As a consequence, I wired the mirror to the tail lights and it works once the lights are turned on. It is easy and unobtrusive to mount the phone on my dashboard. I use it both day and night with great results! The camera is excellent! I highly recommend it! This is a great product that is well worth the price!.

To go along with my Skunk Ape Camper trailer (built by Tiny Camper Company), I purchased the Rohent HD WiFi Digital Wireless Backup Camera. Located just to the right of the trailer's center brake light, you can see in the photos where the Rohent camera is located on the upper rear. I am pleased with how the camera works and the wireless connection (rather than a wired connection) provides me with benefits. Rohent's camera package included the camera with a short power pigtail and a male and female connector, two different mounting bracket types, a metric hex key and miscellaneous hardware. I didn't use everything but it provided multiple In one of the photos, you can see a C channel style of mounting bracket. didn't want to have large loops of wire outside the trailer, and I also didn't want to drill a hole large enough to pass the male power connector, so I cut off the connector and drilled a hole only big enough to do the wiring. In the close up picture of the camera you can see a single drip loop of power wire just below the camera to ensure there is enough wire slack for adjustments if required. In the next step, I electrically connected the power feed for the camera to the "tail light" circuit of the trailer. So I can reboot the camera while driving by simply turning off the headlights of my vehicle, then turning them back on again if necessary. I installed the "SWD_Camera" app on my Moto G7 Power phone running Android 10 to test it out. It seems the app is working on the Moto7 as expected, and the various features such as taking a photo also seem to be working. Although I am not planning to use my Moto7 phone with the Rohent camera, I am curious to see how it performs. would like to be able to utilize Android Auto so that I can view Google Maps on my vehicle's dash display. It is a Lenovo 10 that I have an older model of. The Rohent Camera contains one tablet (without phone capabilities) that serves as the display for this camera. With its large 10" display the Lenovo tablet provides more screen real estate than the Motorola device, and there is no challenge for wireless connectivity with the Moto7 device. It is important to note that due to the WiFi signal that the Rohent Camera emits, my Moto7 test was unable to connect to the Internet simultaneously. As long as I use the Lenovo tablet for viewing the camera, I can seamlessly synch a Moto phone with Google while driving, while the Lenovo tablet shows only the camera. For my Lenovo, the camera's display functioned correctly, as did the option to turn off or on the back guidelines. An app crash was caused by using the "snapshot" feature. For me, taking snapshots doesn't pose a problem, since I am not interested in taking them. On my Lenovo, Rohent's camera is installed on the rear of the trailer in order to assist when backing, and also to allow periodic monitoring of what is happening behind the trailer. It does what I expect, and it does what it should on the trailer.
