Honestly, this is one of my favorite back-to-school items The phone isn't the most sophisticated nor does it offer the most features It may be laden, but for the price, it does exactly what you would expect it to do. A few years ago, I bought an older model car that didn't have a camera, and I paired this camera with an aftermarket rearview mirror. All is in order and everything is working. I have a couple instructions which I think might be helpful. The instructions are simple and easy to follow, but I would like to add a few points. Aside from the camera's 18-megapixel sensor, it's great that it comes with the 18-fps lens. The hole should be 5mm in diameter The majority of people don't have a saw at home, and it's not uncommon for people to not have one. It comes with two different camera covers so that you can use the appropriate one based on how you intend to mount it Over time, I was concerned that the camera might loosen enough to tilt the image to one side, so I suggest using a little Loctite on the threads of the camera cover once the installation is finished. There is also no seal or gasket if the unit is going to be mounted flush. I think that butyl tape is the best way to seal the installation, since it is both cheap and easy to use. In addition, I would recommend using both the bracket and the sheet metal screws if you are applying this to the bracket. The hood and ride height of my truck create a large blind spot directly in front of my truck, so I figured I might as well get one for the front. These two cameras give me exactly what I need and work like a charm. Though I was concerned that the guidelines would be too narrow to allow me to reliably back up, they are wide enough for my big truck as well. This book is highly recommended. The price is especially cheap at this time.
