My husband and I decided to try this one since the license plate on our 2006 Toyota Sienna is located on the back door of the van, and since it is wireless, we thought we would give it a try. My son and my husband are not good at messes, so we didn't want to accidentally damage anything in our fully loaded Sienna. It took me only a few minutes to install the camera. Behind the panel is where the guys installed the transmitter. I was able to score 20 without much problem I spent 30 minutes on this. They used the cigarette lighter as a power source for the monitor to perform the wireless pairing (which happened automatically). Besides ensuring that everything worked fine before closing the panel, this also served as a way to test before closing up the door. In order to install the monitor to power the monitor, here's why it was a challenge. It took me two hours to track down that wire I got it done in 3 hours. Haha. I thought it was a waste of time when the guys decided to just keep the monitor on all the time. In order for the monitor to turn on, the transmitter on the camera must send a signal.
