Questions & Answers

The set fits in a black single din dash (2001 Chevy Silverado) with a small deck, right?

If you have a 99-series computer, this question may be old to you, but for anyone it may be useful For those of you with an 02 Silverado If you want to install a single din head unit with a 1/2 din in dash EQ, you can do it. To make this work you will simply need a dash kit that includes a single din plus EQ. There used to be one made by Metro for 1999-2002 In 2002, there was a silverados, but it got discontinued. This is the Metra 99- part number The only one I know is that Metra 99-150-3 makes these. I'm not certain if Scoche or AI make it or used to make it It is OK to use 3003. There is still a possibility of finding them online. For a friends truck, I bought one just now.

It appears that this will play main and aux at the same time since I have a quad channel amp, but obviously front and rear play different sounds?

Whether you are sitting in the front or the back of your car, the signal from your head unit is the same (90 percent accurate). As a result, running the two outputs from the head unit to the EQ and then the EQ's four outputs to the amp will not result in any changes. With the sound differential you will have, it is only your fader, tone, and treble settings that you can play with to fine-tune the sound. I now declare that to be the case. In fact, this is true for 90 percent of the existing head units. Apparently, my head unit has HPF and LPF filter settings, and the bass curve for the sub channel is also adjustable. Those are all going to be lost to you. All the signal coming from the EQ will be coming from the two that have been connected.

Could you recommend a mounting kit to fit this in a double din opening with a single din head unit?

comes with a kit that allows you to mount it to something. Mine sits underneath my ash trash bin.

What are the stereo capabilities of this equalizer?

The term stereo merely refers to left and right channels as opposed to "mono", which indicates just one Therefore, it does indeed have a left and a right channel. There is no radio or stereo that I am aware of that has more than one channel, unless it has more than

After installing the Clarion EQ, I was able to eliminate the whining sound from my speakers
5/5

The first time I tried EQ, I hated it. I was unable to use my speakers due to a whining noise it created. The troubleshooting process has been exhausting. Rca cables need to be replaced. Whatever you name it I have tried, from ground loop to RCA isolators. I connected a ground wire to the battery terminal in order to make a long story shorter. Wire that goes from the battery terminal to bare metal on the front fender serves as a ground. A ground wire was also run from the EQ to a bare metal spot in the interior, which was secured with a rivnut and bolt. The ground wire coming from the On the side of a Pioneer AVR there is a screw Located at 1330 NE. In addition to the internal ground wire, there are two ground wires coming from the outer ground spot. The head unit has a total of two ground wires. An EQ was grounded to a bare metal spot in the interior. The fender ground is also important. The engine noise has disappeared, leaving only the crystal clear sound. Using my Clarion EQ and Clarion 3 way cross over, I can now use my Clarion EQ and As I run the crossover I’m running the mids and the highs. Crossovers went the way of the dodo. It is very convenient that these 2 components allow for so much adjustment.

I have had this for about two years now and it works great
3/5

My goal is to use this to install discreet audio in a van, using an Alpine PDX-R An Alpine type R SPR60 Coaxial system with a V9 5 channel amp, a Pioneer 10" shallow mount sub, and 4 Alpine type R SPR60 Coaxial speakers I have two axes and two 6's. The factory installed two 5" strips in the door bump outs up front, and two 6x9" strips near the rear seat in boxes. In the vehicle I wanted to appear as if there was no stereo at all, and also to keep the double-sided blank on the backside of the vehicle Located in a factory spot, in the din cubby. I was able to use it for almost two hours without issue, and the sound was great. It worked for 5 years, then one day one output stopped working and the next day all outputs stopped. When I pulled out the board from the case, I decided to clean it to see if there were any obvious damages. While it was a bit dusty, I didn't see anything that appeared to be out of place or need to be repaired. After cleaning, putting the case back on, testing, and so on. I don't know. There is no warranty on this product. I bought it for $60 when I bought it originally and it cost me $100 when I had to buy it again today. My lesson has been learned, and I now purchased an $8 extension plan for four years, so that if it burns up again in two years I can at least begin the process of replacing it.

My saltwater boat has been in service for more than 7 years! Purchasing an equalizer for my saltwater boat, 24 feet long, on March 2014 was a good decision
5/5

With the help of it, I created a custom set up that included a Bluetooth module on the auxiliary input, so that I would have greater control over the audio since all my music is streamed from my phone over For the subwoofer it drives a mono amp and a four channel amp. This thing has been around so long and still performs so well. It amazes me that it has endured.

An Equalizer That's Quality At A Good Price
5/5

There is a lot of quality in this Equalizer! Due to the signal clarity of 105db, equilization will be of high quality. As I drove down the highway, I found my car would sound good but need more mids and vocals. I used it to balance out my tweeters and door speakers. Using an amplifier and Sigma 6 infinity, I have a speaker system. The EQ only filtering on my door speakers allowed me to dial in the perfect amount of bass to them, while trimming the highs to a comfortable level. Now I am able to get a more full sound out of my door speakers, instead of just loud speakers. How is it possible for you to get a real good EQ for under $60? If you deliver 7 volts at 105 db, you'll get a clean signal to any amplifier. Nevertheless, I was disappointed by the subwoofer channel, as I want to filter my sub to about 125Hz, but this EQ only has a switch for 60 or 90 Hz. I like to hear 85 - 95 percent for most people, but I like to hear 85 - 95 percent for me Hz bass tones are my favorite type of tonality, so I always keep my sub amp attached to my It is by far the best EQ you can get for less than $75, as long as you understand what you will get. * * *Updates bought a new head unit, but I still used this EQ because it boosted the signal from 4v to 7v. I also used the sub output of the EQ since its signal strength is much higher than the main output. My subwoofer may be limited to a maximum output of 60Hz or 90Hz, but I found that the rolloff from the sub output is naturally sloping and I could still get good output from my subwoofer between 90Hz and 120Hz.

However, I have a problem
3/5

The unit arrived exactly as scheduled and I installed it just a couple of I like the sound a lot. Despite the small size and smooth functioning of the knobs, this unit feels solid. There is a switch for switching between 60 and 90 Hz when using the crossover for the subwoofer A sideways glance. There may be a weak spot in the lower mid-section as a result Most people who have smaller main speakers that can't reliably handle 90 to 200hz frequencies simply won't be able to identify many details in the 90 to 200hz range, especially at high volumes. A major issue with the unit so far is that one of the blue LED lights on the back of the unit is intermittently on and off. The light flashes sporadically, stays on or off for the entire time, or stays on or off for an extended period. I find it very distracting at night, especially at nighttime, and it makes it look and sound different With Clarion's name on it, I feel as though I have installed some cheap junk in my vehicle. My fingers will probably have to be replaced as well. That's too bad. This issue would have prevented me from giving it a five star rating.

My initial goal with this device was to provide a gateway for me to use the DAC out of my Nexus 7 tablet to drive the amps in my car without just splicing stuff together, with the added bonus of being able to adjust the volume and equalizer manually
5/5

I really enjoyed the fine tuning there was no fuzz or pops. The volume control is linear and smooth. The feel of the knobs is great and the resistance is just right. The transformation of the sound in general from the fairly decent Sony head unit in the car before was a complete surprise to me. If the right adjustments are made, the subwoofer output is pleasingly warm, and even when adjustments are made, the signal to the other outputs is clear and pure. It is a surprise to experience the high quality of the unit at this price, since I've paid more for less in the past. What would I improve if I had the chance? My lighting needs some adjusting. I wish I could change the color. The biggest one for me is that. I mean, really. all there is to.

I love it
5/5

an amazing product for sound system tuning on a budget, got it hooked up to only 2 amps one for sub and one for the highs I have a bass remote which I never use anymore, the sound is already fairly loud with just this Clarion. Definitely recommend.
