Yep!
You should be able to mount them almost anywhere if you have the proper display. Only by pulling it out and inspecting it can you find out. Look up a YouTube tutorial for your car, and they'll show you how to remove the part and replace it. However, I believe it will work.
There are Mazda forums online that have all the update files and instructions, or you can take it to the dealer if you're getting other work done, and they'll usually do it for free or a small fee.
It will, but you will need to update it with Mazda software, as the blue color scheme of the is and logo will be replaced with red and a Mazda logo. On a Mazda forum, follow the instructions for updating.

My Mazda CX-9, which I purchased in 2016, is a compact crossover vehicle. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are now available on the iPhone 5! It's simple to set up and use if you're a little tech savvy and follow the instructions to the letter. What does it matter if the part isn't genuine Mazda? It functions normally, with no problems, and my phone now charges more quickly. I'm not sure why I didn't do this sooner!.
The item arrived in a few days, undamaged, and with a diagram in the user's manual. manual. The process of installation is fairly simple. forward; two long cables with foam tape and zip ties, as well as the USB Hub br>br>Must download and install current firmware for the Mazda Connect, which was fairly simple and took about 45 minutes to install and 15 minutes to download and find online. br>br>The tear down of my car took some time, and I had to purchase pry tools to remove the dash and trim panels. Because I don't have a CD player, my Mazda OEM hub is located in the front, which necessitated the removal of the automatic gear knob, center console, console trim, and armrest box clips just to pry out the old hub. br>br>The most difficult part was prying out the old hub while avoiding breaking any of the dash with brute force. Putting it together was a breeze; the most difficult part was dealing with the gear installation; there wasn't much room to work with, so I had to remove and reassemble the knob with a tiny hand mirror and an eyeglass mini screwdriver flat head. br>br>In the end, the labor savings from the dealer/shop were well worth it. It works great, charges faster thanks to the higher amperage, and the factory navigation sd card can also be used in this hub as a backup when your phone isn't with you. br>br>Excellent product; however, depending on the trim, some models can be difficult to assemble. In a later review, I'll see how well this holds up.
br>In comparison to the genuine OEM part, the item I received is of poor quality; a screw was loose inside, and the aux port was misaligned. br>Other sellers are selling the genuine part for nearly the same price.
Not a review of the product, but some installation advice: br>br>To update the firmware for the infotainment center, you'll need a USB. If you want to avoid breaking your current USB media hub (which you will be replacing), prepare to disassemble all of your onboard dash and cupholder area if you buy this. br>br>If the old one is no longer useful, you can drill out the retention tabs/clips (mark where the holding tabs are on the new one, then mark the same positions on the old one). Then, on the old USB media hub, use a 90-degree pick tool to get into the holes above the SD card. You can either pull the whole thing out (if your tabs are broken from the drilling) or just the face plate, and then break the tabs. br>br>Then, while it's still connected, pull out the old media hub, being careful not to let the cables fall back into the dash. Install the cables according to the wiring diagram, then slide the new unit into place until it clicks into place. br>br>Because the Touch Screen feature is unrelated to this product review, you can disregard it. br>br>Knocked down ease of installation because there aren't any good guides out there that don't involve disassembling your entire dash, but I read on a forum that you can do the above. I hope this information was useful to you.
It is of lower quality and appears to be misaligned in terms of the aux port. It's been mentioned in a couple of other reviews. However, the cables appear to be of higher quality than OEM, which is a good thing. Also, the foam tape that comes with the kit is the worst; it's only purpose is to keep the wires together and reduce noise in the dash. But it works, and I haven't had any major issues with CarPlay since I installed it. Also, Mazda's OEM kit has been discontinued, but it is still available in parts. I'm not sure if this is a better deal than the OEM.
This was purchased to improve the performance of my Mazda CX- 5 infotainment on the road Before installing this, I had to update the firmware on my system because it was an older version. It takes about 40 minutes to upgrade the firmware and requires a USB drive. br>Once the system had been upgraded, the old unit had to be removed and the new one installed. br>It takes about 2 hours from start to finish; getting the old device out is difficult, but the rest of the process is simple. br>I've been using CarPlay for over a week now and can't believe I didn't do it sooner. The dealership charges $500 for something that can be done at home for $150. br>Just double-check that you have all of the necessary equipment.
before the installation of xxxxx! It is critical to note this. If you're a handyman, you'll find the installation and instructions relatively simple. br>br>Only when you are parked, not while driving, does the touch work. As a result, the original Mazda's central control panel dial and push buttons would have to be used. br>br>Apart from that, you have access to a variety of apps - Maps, a phone for making calls, and music - these are all things you'll need. Nice!br>br>Pandora, etc. br>br>Nice!.
I ordered two of these and had them installed. One could be found in my wife's 2016 CX- In 2017, I had a 5, and the other had a 3. br>br>Console disassembly can take a long time, especially if you don't want to use any hacks or shortcuts, but the upgrade to CarPlay is well worth it. They've been running for two weeks and haven't had any problems.
