Questions & Answers

How do I connect this to a Clarion three-way crossover system? Auxiliary output is routed to the crossover, which then splits into mid and bass outputs. ?

Here's how you hook it up: your headunit's subwoofer output goes into the epicenter's inputs, and the epicenter's outputs go into the clarion crossover's subwoofer inputs, and your headunit's mids and highs go straight into the crossover's inputs, got it?

Could you connect a 2006 Nissan Titan to the stock radio?

Yes! You might require an adapter.

When daisy-chaining amps, can it be used?

According to my understanding of the epicenter, it only brings out hidden bass and deeper bass ol'skool songs 4sho, rock, and some hip hop and r&b. b songs . However, when everything is in place, it sounds incredible. "It's only to improve" bass, says the author.

Is it possible to hook it up to a stock 2din HU with mono and a 4 channel amp? What do you think of it?

If your subs and amp are capable of handling the load, it should sound great.

My expectations were exceeded as an audiophile
5/5

This device does exactly what it claims to do. Of course, you can go overboard. To feel like you're getting your money's worth, you don't have to turn the knob all the way up. It's fine if you keep it at a low setting. Never do I turn the knob above 50%. This device does an AMAZING job of recreating bass in tracks where it isn't present. I had a lot of reservations. I figured there was no way they could just add bass in real time and have it sound good; I figured there would be timing issues or some discernible disgusting artificial quality to the audio it was producing. My assumptions were incorrect. Because of the overwhelming support for car audio in the build community, I decided to purchase this item. br>br>When I was installing this, my wife was convinced I was an idiot, and I wasn't so sure. "So it'll just add more bass," she explained, "and why does everything have to be all WHAAMP WHAAAMP?" she wondered. Following the installation, I handed my wife the remote, explained that it was not a volume knob, and we drove around playing all of her music while she adjusted the knob to her liking. br>br> br>br>Now my wife wants one for her car as well as her home. br>br>It brings every song from the 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, and even now into the full spectrum for playback on the system you've spent so much money on. It completely transforms your relationship with music, which you've known for a long time. br>br>This product is ridiculous; I love it, it works, it sounds great, and it completely changed my wife's mind about the idea because of what it does to her music. (My wife despises/used to despise bass) I believe that says it all.

I was having a problem with a low rca signal
5/5

My car is newer and has a factory system that is fully integrated into all of the vehicle's features. It was not possible to replace it. I hooked up a line out converter by tapping into the rear speaker wires. br>This was causing me a lot of trouble. br>br>1 The signal strength was extremely low. I had to turn up the volume on my gains and add bass boost. I had never had to do this before in other set upsbr>2 the factory system appeared to have a cross over or processor that limited the bass to the low 30s (hertz) whereas my previous set ups dropped in the 20sbr>3 the bass started to roll off when I turned the volume up and at times it seemed to flutter in and outbr>I had an alpine 1200wat amp and ran multiple setupsbr>2 vfl 8s in br>The 2 12s sounded the best, but something wasn't quite right. br>Then I came across a DD dmf2800 amp and a nvx 15vcw wired at 2 ohms sealed, which I could barely get sound out of. br>I found this epicenter and was able to extract some sound from it. br>I CHANGED THE INTERNAL JUMPER TO 10 VOLTS BECAUSE IT WAS STILL NOT WHAT I EXPECTED. (careful. If your signal is weak or your amplifier can handle it, don't do it. )br>MAGIC! br>The system is now pounding, and it is deep, clean, and precise. DURING THE NIGHT AND DURING THE DAY. THIS IS A GREAT TOOL!.

Most rap isn't for audiophiles, and most rap isn't for audiophiles
3/5

I wanted to see if it could help clear up some of the sound and add bass to rock songs like Linkin Park's. It added some bass, but it didn't sound quite right. When adjusting the sound, the only two knobs, sweep and wide, do not appear to help with sound accuracy. When I turned it all the way down to listen to rap, some notes sounded distorted, and the amp's crossover made my low notes sound weaker, so I lowered the crossover. br>I'm let down.

As usual, it's Epicenter FTW
5/5

What am I supposed to say? It serves as a focal point. You'll know what it's for if you know what it's for. Set your amp's voltage correctly, and ANY music, from rap to rock, will sound better in terms of bass. Anyone who claims otherwise does not understand car audio or how to adjust the amp gain.

QC can be improved on a four-star rating
4/5

This product receives four stars because it was delivered on time and performs admirably. It's losing a star because the epicenter arrived with unbalanced outputs; if I weren't familiar with these types of products or didn't read the manual, I'm sure I'd send it back to the manufacturer, as many others have. According to the manual, audio control should have balanced inputs and outputs, but this was not the case with mine; always read the manual. Alternatively, hire a pro to install it for you. Another thing to keep in mind is that the newer epicenters have a smaller knob than the older ones. I have a small system that works well for me.

Bring back the never-before-seen Bass Enhancement
5/5

and I didn't expect it to be there! This is the Ultimate Bass Booster that has been missing for a long time. The EpicCenter is a patent-pending bass restoration processor created by AudioControl, the first of its kind. AudioControl has been in the home and car audio business for 40 years***. I recall a time in the late 1980s - I first heard of AudioControl in the 1990s, when they were known for their extreme custom hi-performance and designs of Home, Commercial, and Car Audio. I recall seeing an Epicenter for the first time at a car show where there was a Sound Off car audio competition. That inspired me to save money and purchase one for my custom car (a 1986 Camaro) that I was upgrading. It had a decent sound system (not the best), and it did put out some good bass, but when I installed the Epicenter, it completely changed everything, including enhancements and enhancements. My Epicenter has been installed in several vehicles over the years, the most recent of which was on my 2004 Silverado until it was broken into and everything was stolen. The crooks were in fact inexperienced knuckleheads. They were unable to use the receiver for my car stereo deck/DVD player. Idiot thieves forgot to take the Bass controller knob because I had a detachable main Faceplate controller and they couldn't use the Epicenter because of it. which I still possess. Now that I have a new vehicle, I'm going to Amazon to buy a new Epicenter. I'm a BASS Head who enjoys listening to music in my car. Get the Epicenter now if you're a SPL Bass fan! It will dramatically improve and produce BASS/ SPL!.
