So, does the handle simply slide into my Sola 1200 light, and if so, is there any way to secure the light to the handle other than sliding it in?

This handle was designed to fit into the mounting port of a Sola light (1200 series). There is no extra strap or clip that allows you to mount it in a different way.

Is it possible to obtain additional set screws? Is there a way to figure out how to replace a tiny screw that has gone missing or has fallen into a crack?

A far superior mount

You're probably looking for a replacement for the velcro strap that came with your Sola if you're considering this item. This is the mount for you if you liked the design of the old velcro strap but not the quality. Construction: br>br> br>Because nylon webbing is used in a lot of high-quality dive gear, it's no surprise that Light uses it as well. This durable material was used in the creation of this hand strap by Motion. This, when combined with simple-to-follow instructions, makes for a winning combination. Adjustable straps and a soft, yet rigid, tubular handle make this mount a durable, comfortable, and simple to don (put on) option for mounting your Light. GoBe or Sola are two options for motion. NOTE: Both the wrist and hand straps have strap adjusters, which are difficult to see in the photo. br>br>Do you have any dry gloves? If you're a cold water diver like me and worried about this mount not fitting over your dry gloves, don't be. I've worn this mount with a medium weight liner and DUI's crushed neoprene/kevlar dry glove (a very thick arctic glove). While the straps had no slack when I slid the mount on, I was able to tighten them slightly once it was in place. This mount will fit over your dry gloves unless you have the hands of a basketball player. )br>br>I hope this was of use to you!.

There was a lot of adjusting to do

I just received my SOLA 2500 S/F and the Hand Strap (which was ordered separately). The strap is made of high-quality materials and even has two o-rings. There are no loose ends swirling around in the water because of the rings that hold the strap ends tightly together. When diving, every ounce of convenience is appreciated. I could tighten the straps quite a bit and still be comfortable. We'll be using it for our upcoming Cozumel trip in December, where we've booked 16 dives with Living Underwater, our favorite outfit.

It's way overpriced, but if you have a SOLA light and motion product, it's exactly what you need; the lights are fantastic, so they should be supported

This is a nice hand strap that pairs well with Sola lights. They used to make two sizes of the strap, but now only make one that fits "all" hand sizes. However, I believe that if you have small hands, it may be too big for you.
